k LOVES le labo perfumes, and he’s actually talked about owning santal 33 at one point! he just loves perfumes in general, but le labo is the brand he’s talked about the most. he’s gifted perfumes to the other members quite a bit, and most of them were different le labo scents. his favorite and the one he uses the most is gaiac 10, which is a fragrance exclusively sold at the tokyo le labo store. nobodies made a 2026 version that i’ve seen, but here’s a list of perfumes that each person has talked about using as of 2025 if you’re curious (https://x.com/cupidnicho/status/1894042809520337047?s=46) kuma is my favorite &team ship and fanfic is definitely the reason why (there’s some crazy good stuff) but their on screen dynamic is so cute too. they act like a married couple, and they’re so touchy feely with each other even though fuma is less touchy than most of the rest of the group. they so effortlessly compliment each other (out of nowhere. no one has to ask them to do that) and whenever they are asked it’s insane too (they were once asked what their favorite part of each other’s body was. fuma answered k’s lips and k answered fuma’s abs) there’s also a whole other lovely dynamic with k being fuma’s only hyung. with the rest of the group fuma is more of a stoic supporter for them to lean on, but with k you can really see his less serious side come out more (the island content you saw a tiny bit of is a really good example) with them being quite a bit older than the rest of the group (k 97, fuma 98, then the next is nichojoo 02) you can tell that they’re each other’s main support emotionally too, especially in the early years, which has made their bond so much stronger. even from the start they had something special. k was the only one that fuma even mentioned the word debut too, and it was him saying that he really wanted the two of them to debut together. i think even saying that was a huge deal for fuma, he’s said many times that he didn’t have a ton of confidence in himself at that point. when the members were being announced for the group one by one fuma was last to be called, and with each passing name called that isn’t his you can see his confidence dropping until it is, and he stood there in disbelief until yuma literally slammed into him to give him a hug. i don’t think it really sunk in until k pushed through everyone to give him a hug and he broke down immediately. anyways sorry for the rant 😭 i just really love this ship and even though the moments may not be big and flashy there’s such a huge amount of love there (even if realistically it’s probably platonic) and i want everyone to know just how insane they are for each other

Kuma is definitely a lowkey kinda ship, they openly flirt with each other, but despite being the 2 oldest (1998, 1997), the company rarely sends them places together (they've been banned from going live together T.T) A lot of people miss the subtle moments between them, but to me they're giving established relationship, they're so comfortable with each other, and they know each other incredibly well, K has called himself a "Fuma otaku/nerd" more than once. Their lore is actually very interesting, they didn't know each other at all before &audition (their debut show) and Fuma was basically just cast in there to make the age gap between K and the other trainees smaller (Fuma was also known by the dance instructors, since he was a Bighit backup dancer for a while). I don't think the company wanted Fuma to make it in at all, they barely gave him any screen time during the show (they don't give him any screen time even now tbh) , and they cut out all the praise he got from the coaches, but his fans campaigned for him really strongly and got him a lot of last minute votes. Getting back on Kuma lore, their development happened behind the camera, we didn't learn about what was going on until post debut, apparently K and Fuma hit it off immediately with their eye for choreo and love for dancing, they were also sharing a bed for the entirety of the show (they were put together in a single room in a single bed), which we didn't learn about until years after. Fuma was known around the trainees for following K around to "protect" him, opening doors, giving him his jacket, covering K from the rain, all little moments we were only told about by the trainees during extra content outside &audition. They were flirting quite heavily early debut days, to the point they were told to tone it down and you can tell. Now they are more subtle, always giving each other knowing glances, casually leaning on each other for no reason, and flirting in the background during videos.

For me, a lot of their dynamic is shown through how they talk about each other, & how others talk about them, in magazine & radio/podcast interviews/talks. There are some great translations of these by lunés on twitter! Not a lot of it is shown on screen, but they always seem to talk about how much they support & stand by each other, both in daily life & their idol careers :) Kinda hard for me to explain it haha but they are just so lovely, these clips just didn't quite capture them to the fullest extent! I so agree with you, there needs to be wayyy more up-to-date compilations on yt!! 😭💗
