personally i think the ending is bad but other than that its not bad.

lucasalvati

Is it just me that Patreon doesn't work? He says "we're having a little problem"

Toasted Toad

Next couple of episodes should be bangers. Jinwoo about to add to that drip! But if it isn’t your sort of thing, then it isn’t.

Toasted Toad
>>132554539

I’ve read it too and I think it’s brilliant. Not deep, but does exactly what it says on the tin. Not everybody has to agree.

Idris Naama

Nich these last 2 episodes for the first cour are something to look out for!

Crow

I feel you man It feels like nothing is really happening, he's just grinding levels Turns out that hiding your skills is boring for an anime story

Leonardo Bonani

The next episodes are going to be SUPER PEAK!!!

Normadus

Bruh, Nick was jumping, screaming and laughing last week while watching episode 9 and now a few days later he starts complaining without even knowing why he's complaining in the first place lol You started 11-12 different anime (including 3 huge like Bleach, Naruto and OP) without finishing the rest, and now you're starting to get bored/overwhelmed because you have no idea what to watch next because there's too much... The same shit with Ninja Kamui, he was so fucking hyped for anime and he is already 3 episodes behind. lol

There are only two episodes remaining. Finishing the season and then dropping it would make more sense wouldn't it? Especially since at least the next episode will most likely feature higher level animation, music and voice acting.

Kyle

Why does everyone seem to be under the impression that this anime was gonna be all constant fighting all the time. See so many people say nothing is happening but like. You know it’s a long story right? Takes a while to get things going

Emanuel Aron

The next 2 episoade will be 🔥🔥🔥.(What I'm going to say is just my thoughts, I don't want to hate, it's just my opinion and maybe a piece of advice.) In any case, I think you're watching too many anime at once, especially since they're big 3 which are very long animes, for a series like Solo Leveling that only gets one episode per week normally it's hard to stay interested, especially when you haven't read the manhwa and you don't know what's next, there are too many different animes then you can't enjoy one of them for sure, now it seems more like watching as many anime as possible without properly enjoying one by yourself and having to somehow remember what happened last week or more time ago, no more something to enjoy, but to see as many anime as possible to attract as many people as possible and that is quite sad. Think that the same thing would be the case with Jujutsu Kaisen, an anime that you like very much, if you were to start season 1 of JJK for the first time and you should watch one episode a week and share them and in two parts to see only 12 episodes in the first part, it would be the same thing, it would be the first interesting episode, the beginning of episode 2 and then the first part would only be carried by episode 7. I really thought at the beginning that it was better if you watched Solo Leveling when season 1 was complete or at least the first part had been completed.

the story truly begins after the "job change quest" in the first place. What we saw to this point is nothing really

Kyle
>>132556823

Yeah that’s what I’m saying. Literally the entire rest of the series is fights the beginning of the manhwa was so rough and the anime has improved a lot of it. Will make the rest of the show that much more enjoyable

Insane Deuit
>>132555734

keep in mind the anime is still in the prologue, also the next 2 episodes are bangers (guaranteed).

Insane Deuit

I just want to let people know. The anime is still in the "prologue," we have yet to actually get into what manhwa readers loved about Solo Leveling. Next episode is going to be fire, all im going to say.

People like you need to be aware that nick has no clue what's going to happen next. Animes get overhyped all the time. There is no reason nick should follow along blindly if he's not into it. Bleach for example has been literally slow af the past few episodes with the exception of ulquiorra vs ichigo, but some people along with the kp guy tried to make it seem like every episode in bleach is better than every episode of one piece or naruto. I'm not saying solo leveling will stay this way, but a badass main character is not the only thing a series needs to be good.

The app won't play Vimeo for me. You have to hit the 3 dots at the top and copy the link address. Then paste it into a browser. That's what worked for me.

t-menk

Others have mentioned it but the next few episodes should truly give you a taste of what's to come. The story truly "begins" after these two. You'll come to love some of Jinwoos allies in the future, but I can't really say more without spoiling. The show's action is about to be dialed to 11 for the foreseeable future. 🔥

Griffith

this is the set up arc the next two eps are what the rest of the show is gonna be.

Alyn

I understand what you mean Nick and I think it’s due to the fact that it’s very slow at the beginning

Cynical_POV

Ohh shit its finally here. The one scene, the one word that sent fucking chills i hope they do it justice

Beast sama

Should be peak for the rest of the episodes

KimGoldEyes

There are only two episodes left of the season, and they should be *excellent*--lots of the same vibes the first two eps gave to begin with. I blasted through the manhwa and am making my way through the novels, and I will admit--one of the biggest weaknesses of the series as a whole is the filling out of the supporting cast. It's "Solo Leveling," it's *really* hyperfocused around Jinwoo himself, so if he's not clicking for an audience or if part of the enjoyment tends to be the broader cast, Solo Leveling is probably going to be a fail for them. I've already seen little bits taken from the novels--that do a little better job fluffing out the supporting cast--so I'm hopeful we'll continue to see more. Either way, based on your reaction to this ep, I think the last two will be worth your time to watch and you'll be glad you did. As others have mentioned, this is the prologue--series-wise--and there's a lot of really cool stuff to come. If the end doesn't hook you into wanting to watch more, absolutely understand deciding to drop.

Freezemoon

Next episode is when the story really start to become serious, hope you will like it

Steven Lodolce

Knight.... Please watch the next episode.

MIDEVILMOTHER

12th episode is going to go so hard! excited to see his true journy begin

Robin Crow

I love your reactions, I love solo Leveling. Be true to yourself

donald cuck

ik u are not really into fighting shits type of anime and series so its probably the reason why u r not really into it since its an anime about fighting monsters (and im ngl, the story is empty asf, its just a guy leveling up and getting op and the side characters have no development), BUT, even if the anime been really good, its only the first season, and the craziest shits didnt happen yet, let it cook nich

Hamel

Episode 12 is the shift u need

e10

Tbh if I hadn’t read the manhwa, I wouldn’t still be watching the anime. You’re completely right that it’s a slow start. The thing is you go from fight to fight really quickly reading the manhwa, but obviously anime doesn’t work like that. Stick with the rest of the first cour to see if you wanna keep watching, because the next bit is where it picks up fast. To be frank, none of the events in the last 10 episodes are memorable at all when it comes to what solo leveling has in store.

Jeroen Preder

You can see it in the Kang tae shik in the dungeon that the direction isn't that great. They definitely could have put a lot more emotions into it but it really seemed like they just wanted to get a passing grade.

Micchix

Is it just me or the video cannot be played? 😭

paeka

Lol all in his head. If you're able to watch the pacing of Naruto and One piece then allow solo levelling the same treatment of slow episodes to build the world and characters.

Emily Schwartz

You'd like more the manga than the anime cuz it's 100 percent more exciting

JG

She just retired from being a hunter due to her PTSD, she aint retiring from ever working again XD

Enzo Jesus Aguilera Aros

I read the manwha and the start is a little slow but after this seasson the fights and everything is better

FEYKSAN

nick, its not the fact that you dont like the anime or its missing something, you just forgot that you liked the show... this shit is happening to me every time with airing shows

LOTM1434

I read the entire manhua way before the anime was even announced. Solo leveling is not that deep. What you see is what you get. There is no deeper backstory, no twists, no fleshed out side characters. It's literally a very overhyped and high budgeted overpowered mc isekai (I know it's not an isekai but it's that type of anime). I enjoy it alot because I like trashy isekai's. It's kind of like self insert wish fulfilment for me. But ultimately it's really nothing deep, what you see is what you get.

Cirqque

I think the big problem is the slower pacing and every second episode being slow and calm combined with the fact that you have to wait for each episode. You have an epic episode, wait for a week, only to get 20 minutes where nothing happens. The job change quest leads to a big change though, so hopefully it gets better. When I read the webcomic, the double dungeon was epic, but after that, I only got really invested after the job change quest.

Omar Ibrahim

u just wait for the next ep it is fire

Animeter
>>132605332

I'm an early 2000 week to week anime watcher. So for me, the pacing is really fast. 😂 In later one piece arcs, you had weeks over weeks without anything exciting happens. Many people nowadays are pretty spoiled and don't have patience.

Cirqque
>>132605332

I tend to prefer binge watching in general, and it's the same with manga. Unless I'm absolutely obsessed with something, I tend to wait a few months to give the anime or manga time to build a stockpile, and then I dedicate a weekend (or more for the really long stuff) to watch/read everything in one go.

Andreidesu

I mean you're watching too many animes and I'm pretty sure your dopamine baseline is fucked up, that a good anime is now something you would drop.

kuroihana

Job change is what made me binge the rest of the manhwa

lucasalvati
>>132605332

I think how Mangwa makes more, for example all the stats or weapons you don't read in the anime, but in the original I was very taken with that thing

Zack Crow

Next 2 episode will blow your mind. This will be the starting of Solo Leveling.

Manifique Tae

next 2 ep is just starting point

Rythm_

Video doesn't get opened for me.

Leo Toivosson

I believe that you kinda lose interest when waiting, especially after that one week break. Maybe you should wait and binge it instead, cause I'm sure it's a story you'd like

dhhsbd dhhd

everybody has to chill, just cuz nick doesn't like something that is popular rn, doesn't mean he has to drop it. Same as One piece (although I am a big fan), if some people cannot handle the pacing or find it boring, you respect their opinion of the show instead of trying to tell them next ep is peak, forcing them to watch something they don't like. No need to force yourself to watch anything Nick.

Sumisu_Senpai _
>>132605332

Yeah exactly, remember early Naruto when Orochimaru and Sarutobi played tug of war for like 6 episodes? Anime watchers these days have it easy with pacing lol

Cirqque
>>132605332

Unfortunately, there was very little anime available to me on television when I was young, so I only started watching anime in middle highschool. I was lucky enough to watch the soul tug of war in one binge session, but I caught up in the middle of the war Shippuden. I tried watching the episodes as they aired a for a few weeks, but I became frustrated, so I found a different anime to dive into, and waited about two years, I think, before I finally finished Naruto Shippuden.

Micchix
>>132579384

Figured out that it cannot be played on the patreon app but if you play it on the web (G Chrome) then it works. 👍🏻

Koloss

Honestly I dropped Solo leveling. There is just nothing that interests me in this Anime. I can understand why people like it but its just super boring for me

Chair_No_Bill

u don't need to like every hyped anime it's pretty ez :D

Jesus Lujan

Amazing animation, but I would have dropped it at 3 episodes LUL
