Just wanted to throw this out there, Episode 4 of season 3 is my favorite episode of the entire series, there’s not really much in the episode but the performance of Deku’s voice actor gives me chills evertime i watch it.

Yeah season 5 is generally what a lot of people consider the fall off. For some it’s season 4. I think season 5 is good cause of a particular arc but that’s besides the point. For anyone that continued past season 5 people usually agree that season 6 is a very very good season

Season 3 & 6 are great. There are still quite a lot of interesting stuff in S5. It's just that it was toned down from S4, which made it kind of jarring.

I don’t think season 5 and beyond is awful… I think the quality of writing takes a dip and the pacing is off. There are moments where it slows down unnecessary then all of a sudden we’re rushing to the end.

I love that in each reaction he plans a different hate crime for mineta HAHAHA, the first episodes of the seasons are somewhat weak, since it took a year to air between seasons, these types of things are done to keep people's memories fresh, but in itself I consider that S3 and S6 are the best, S5 has a lot to offer in terms of story, the development of deku and other characters that you love, nick. so don't get discouraged, because this is just going to escalate and escalate without stopping, lots of support and appreciation for you!

Season 5 isn’t awful per say but definitely not great, it’s also people’s least favorite manga part. The last arc of it is pretty good though. Then season 6 is one of the best seasons (you can argue for s3 or s6). Most long running shows have their hiccups you gotta get through sometimes, I mean you’re watching the Big 3 so I’m sure you’ve already experienced some of that.

Honestly the second arc in this season is my least favorite in the whole show. I agree that season 5 feels off in the middle, however I personally really enjoyed it. Hope you have fun with it Nick.

I think most of us would argue that now s06 is the best, but yeah till recently s03 did hold the title. As for s05,it aint horrible(it is probs the worst tho) ..but in a weekly format, they kinda tortured especially manga readers, coz they decided to prolong the boring arc and shorten the arc we were all waiting for...but it has some peaks moments of they story, you just gotta get through a lot of talk no jutsu s to get there.

Yes the production quality of the anime falls off EXTREMELY hard after season 4 but you start to notice it in season 4 with the direction as the anime gotten a new director during this season which you go ehhhh to many scenes and even losing the ability to capture the proper atmosphere for darker arcs. Season 5 is where the studio just starts really making terrible decisions such as arc switches, bad pacing, cutting content, and average and sometimes bad animation during one of the most highly anticipated arcs. Season 6 they sort of mad a comeback but still isn't as good or consistent as the production in season 2 or 3. These changes is mostly because of the animators being divided for the movies and the terrible new director for the anime. I am the most non bias mha fan. These are the facts.

Don't skip season 5, yes it's a calm down season after 4 but there are moments in 5 that's important. Besides you need the happiness before all the chaos after. Season 5 opening is my favorite.

my biggest criticism of mha is basically these 2 episodes. Instead of getting more intense as it goes this show seems to reset after every big moment. I get its purpose but it always felt like "ok cool stuff is done time to go back to school where nothing happens"

season 5 is literally a season that kinda preps you for season 6 but the hate it gets is so stupid to me, its a decent season and we get todoroki content which is always appreciated lol anyways don't let that make you think season 6 isn't great cuz imo its my favorite along with season 4. This is the season where things really get started for the cast tho so I see why it's a cult favorite. You'll love bakugou's development this season for sure!

Personally my favorite MHA seasons were 2 and now recently 6 has become my new favorite. Season 5 might be the worst season, but there are still some incredible moments in it if I remember correctly, so don't write it off entirely. And just enjoy the journey man, I'm enjoying the rewatch along with you :) edit: also my favorite MHA opening is Bokurano by Eve, which is the season 6 part 2 opening! Goated song for a goated arc!

I mean that's a good thing. If you try to ALWAYS increase the hype, you get situations like dragonball where the storyline is getting more and more ridiculous, just to keep building hype. Having a reset, or more a cool down period, is good writing. Keeps your viewers from getting bored.

Slow moments ARE good i agree and they are needed. The problem is that every slow moment is the same. We are always returning to the school or doing school things. The slow moments also need variety and the setup of the show doesnt allow that to happen very easily. The school itself also isnt interesting like a hogwarts for example. There are normal classrooms and big chambers but theres nothing to wonder about. If the return point is always the school it needed to be a more interesting school.

season 6 is my favorite personally but after rewatching season 5 I realize people probably thought it was slow cuz of how slow it felt when it was airing week to week. After rewatching it I realized it didnt feel as slow when I was binging it and actually enjoyed it so I think he will like that season. It's not better than season 6 but it has a lot of important info.

My favorite MHA opening for sure is Peace Sign by Kenshi Yonezu. That's a really great opening. Polaris by Blue Encount (season 4 opening) is also a good one. 23:05 love that those caught up know who this person is that they're talking about, lol.

I think the only reason season 5 fwela off to people is because ita essentially a set up for everything that is to come. It's a lot of back story character development for the epic stuff in season 6

Kota might seem annoying but as someone who lost a parent super young it's very realistic. I was mean to everyone. I couldn't take seeing people happy because I was in so much grief and confusion. I think the first time I met my future stepdad I literally hit him because he was goofing around when I met him at my uncle's (he's a very goofy guy in general). All my relatives there were a bit gloomy seeing us but then I saw this guy being happy and I literally hit him and told him my dad died.
