Enzo Jesus Aguilera Aros

i prefer see the anime, i dont like read manga eccept fro manhwa like solo leveling because i read like 2 or 3 years ago adn other manhwas, but i dont like manga the draw is black and white and the manhwa is full color

AcentGG

the first season is all manga perfected

rizar

Bro you could read a newspaper, and I would still probably be entertained

Alex

nick idk where to put stream requests so i’ll just say it here: pls react to wind breaker op 1

LousyNine

This is definitely an anime to read the manga of with it. I watched the anime first and still think it’s peak 10/10 after reading it, some things that changed annoyed me, but I still deeply loved and enjoyed both.

Not by a mile, season 1 is just okay, its only redeeming quality is ost and VA

Swish_91

Pure Entertainment

Lumi

it’s such a good idea to read and watch along, it was my first anime and I’m so glad the manga is that great since the adaptation is… something?

Koloss

These Sound Effects are peak xD

Kolekristian

bro thats actually very good content

SKAOG

btw, the OST is made by Yutaka Yamada, the same person who made the OST for Vinland Saga, he's another GOAT imo

venza

That was soooo fun. Nick is one of the funniest streamers ever. Really enjoy his vids. XD

Lizz

thank you for giving this series a go ♡. I honestly love the manga and anime. It has its flaws but it will still remain as one of my favorites

Baumfigger

the first season of tokyo ghoul is sooo goated!

Kolekristian

you should watch the first 2 seasons first i think it would be better

25redshark

Also the Live action movie aint bad as far as anime live actions go

XxfronZnxX

Somehow nick has stooped even lower now its pre red

Weird_ Perspective

people dont like the anime...but i think till the 2nd season its not that bad...even if they left bits u can still understand what the show is abt...

Hans Solo

This is the only manga I’ve officially read. I was informed by the Renegades (another great reaction channel) that the anime had butchered the adaptation. I’m so excited to see you read this live. It felt too good to be true. Get ready to change how you crack your knuckles forever

Thunder2562

Oscar worthy voice acting

Nemy

Loved it🥳 hilarious stream💜

Mikaele

swear you said you bought a manga haul a year ago and that you read Berserk like its your bible

keniskandar

One of my top favorite series, anime and manga—arguably #1 fav for me. I started with the anime, got hooked; went on to read to the manga, and then got hooked even more. I appreciate you sharing your reaction to TG, Nick! Sending lots of love from Chicago 💕💕💕

For Patreon reaction streams you have to be on a higher tier BUT you wait for him to ask for it. For yt members stream you become a member and wait for him to ask.

Mikaele
>>134326659

but he's said before it's his bible? in reality he only looked at a couple panels, thats just kinda weird

Miles
>>134330306

The anime is kinda shit tho. Like they completely fucked up season 2 and 3

Conix

Long Post inc, sorry couldn't help it. I couldn't catch the stream, but watching the VOD was a lot of fun. Had me laughing multiple times haha. Tokyo Ghoul is my favorite manga ever (I'm more of a Seinen reader). The weekly experience back in the day was just something else. You can ask Chibi about that, he played a role in the weekly discussion for many people back then too. Could be kinda cool to discuss the manga with other content creators when you are further in the story or when you have finished it (Chibi, Sufferents on Youtube, SenEto99 on Twitter, ...). To make it easier for you, I scrambled through the volumes and the 12 episodes. They stack up like this: Episode -> Chapter 1 -> 1-5 2 -> 6-9 3 -> 10-Half of 14 4 -> 31-34 + 36-39 5 -> 2nd Half of 31 + 35 + 37-44 6 -> 45-46 + 2nd Half of 47 + End of 14-Half of 15 7 -> 2nd Half of 15-21 8 -> 22-28 9 -> 29 + Half of 40 + 47-49 10 -> 50-53 + End of 58-59 11 -> 60 + Part of 77 + a lot of scenes from Vol 7 + 8 combined 12 -> 61-66 Even for the supposedly good season (imo decent at best, but the best there is, mind you), there were a lot of changes...kinda ridiculous if you lay it out like above. They had their end goal in sight which they wanted to achieve in only 12 episodes, so they cut and rearranged a lot of stuff. Two major arcs were swapped (Hinami + Gourmet), probably to progress the story quicker. So, if you want to keep comparing the two mediums, you would spoil yourself a lot if you do it like now. If you don't want to spoil yourself, I suggest the following: Read -> Watch 1-5 -> Episode 1 6-9 -> Episode 2 10-14 -> Episode 3 15-49 -> Episode 4-9 50-59 -> Episode 10 60-79 -> Episode 11-12 Regarding Season 2 and TG:RE: It's so impressive how much they butchered it though apparently a lot of stuff was the fault of the production committee and not necessarily the studio. However, Studio Pierrot was most likely also not good enough to adapt Ishida's artstyle and story. Sorry for the long post and whoever reads that, thanks. Also guys, read Choujin X, the current manga of Ishida, which is a fucking banger as well (Anime soon hopefully!).

Qazuma

the first season is pretty good, but after that its unwatchable better off with the manga

I appreciated the anime, including season 2 and 3, as its own work of art in separation from the manga. The general storyline has a lot that resonated with me during a time where I was struggling a lot. I can understand you and others saying it was shit, but I’m not too critical of it myself.

Dabiko

absolutely loved this idea nich would be awesome to see more of this :D

sarah

omg i cant believe you actually watched it

Tyler Kiss

I’d watch the first season then read the manga. The first season was fire.

LousyNine

For me, the manga content covered in season 1 was better experienced through the anime, just because I prefer anime for the most part, but after the first season, for specifically this anime, reading first is a must.

Shaddows

I’d love to see u finish this manga,it’s also the first manga i bought complete, once again thanks for making my day abit more exciting.

Jeffrey Palma

not sure as someone who doesnt read comments but watch the anime and then the manga the panels are breath taking at times and give way more context

ancke boy

the tokyo ghoul manag only gets better and better its a banger

akira

I love this manga fr it’s one my faves and the music in the anime is god tier

akira

GLASSY SKY IS SO GOOD

Sickness

Tokyo ghoul season 1 is pretty much the only part worth watching. The manga is def worth checking out though.

CallOfBobo

guess i am an idiot, cuz i didnt notice anything wrong with her at the date. real plot twist for me tho

Pazta

this is acc j a great stream. nick. nice. 👍

Mels

I still love the animation, it's beautiful in all details. But, have to say it's not a good experience seeing the manga first and then the anime lmao. I did that with tokyo ghoul:re and it was horrible to see some scenes I was looking for just being non existent in the adaptation 😭😭💔

Mikasa Ackerman

We NEED MORE Tokyo ghoul Nick. 🥰🥰🥰
