Well, no spoilers, but I really don't like the way Endeavor is written in this series. This season and the next season are okay, but he really falls off after season 5. It sucks because I really wanted to like Endeavor, especially after this episode, an I used to like him a lot, but not so much anymore.

No, it's because his arc is kind of all over the place. I like the fact that he's more vulnerable. As a realistic portrayal of an abuser who feels guilt he's pretty good, but as a character with an arc about atoning for his past, he's admittedly kind of awful unfortunately. Again, no spoilers. I'm aware that this is kind of a hot take.

Season 5 is weirdly paced but saying it is bad is absolutely wrong. It's more of a missed opportunity by the way the events happen in a different order than the manga.

My favorite season is possibly season 6, but also possibly whichever season i’m watching in the moment. There’re at least two amazing moments in every season and only one arc that i personally regard as kinda mid.

Make sure to watch the movie next, Ik so many people are crying about how you should watch it halfway through season 5 but it really isn't a big deal, watch it next. If you watch it after the halfway point of the next season you will be even MORE confused as to why Deku doesn't use [REDACTED] within the movie. Trust, it will be better to watch it before season 5.

Watching the movie halfway through season 5 is even more dumb because then you question why Deku doesn't even use [REDACTED] at all in the movie, the "spoiler" that the movie throws in really only builds hype to the actual reveal, does not take away the reveal from the anime AT ALL. The movie should absolutely be watched next.

YES, HAWKS IS HERE! Love him, one of my favorite characters. Season 5 is not bad, it's just not as good as others, at least in myopinion. There's definitely a lot of things going on in this season that I really like, but it feels more like they're setting up for season 6, I think

And you're right Nick, the thing about MHA fights is that more like the fight itself (even tho some of them are amazing), what's important is the feeling behind them and it's what I love about the series. The growth they show through the fights is beautiful 🥹❤️ Btw, there's even more to come for the todoroki family, just saying. We had to see the new Number 1 have his big moment, a big debut as the new Symbol of Peace. How crazy was it that Hawks was just talking about the rumors just before this smart Nomu appeared out of nowhere?? People say Season 5 is just "meh", but its not. Its gonna lay some groundwork man, so pay attention. Its the calm before the storm.

I agree with a good deal of comments here on s5 having some incredibly hype moments!! I think you are going to love the developments a lot tbh, giving what has caught your attention so far. & I'm in a similar place with Endeavor - I think its personally reasonable/possible to like his developments and think he's a well written character, without necessarily liking him or his choices. I think you'll love the direction that whole can of worms goes as well! (also cannot wait for you to watch movie 2!!)

Have to say though - although they are short moments, there ARE some spoilers from the first half of s5 in the movie, despite some of these comments lol. Hell, there are some minor spoilers for ep 24 in the season even, due to the organization of the season vs the manga. Not going to bring them up as I feel like that would defeat the purpose, but for for all intents & purposes, movie 2 takes place most reliably in the middle of episode 13!

Endeavor's redemption arc is amazing yo, and it's so so SO important. This season is going to lay out a lot of little subtle hints, it's heavy plot building now, so pay attention to everything! Think like AOT sort of foreshadowing and you should be okay, MHA is a little more obvious thankfully but you will miss things - important things - if you're not careful!

We're already waaay past where that movie takes place, so it won't make sense to wait any longer. It would make NO sense to watch after that season 5 moment for Deku. There is only one "spoiler" in the movie and 99.99% of people are unable to pick up what spoiler is at the end.

Yeah when I first watched MHA it was while season 5 was being released and I stopped watching during the first 10 episodes as I got bored, but I watched it again recently and as I was watching more episodes at a time it was a lot more enjoyable

I am not the biggest fan of Hawks personally but I do appreciate his character. He is very well written and complex. Also in order to really love season 6 which is considered the best season in the show, season 5 is very important to watch.

My favorite season will always be s3. I really liked the Kota stuff & Deku's fight with Muscular. I may be biased, but I like the arc when Bakugo gets kidnapped & he told the villains no to joining them, & then Bakugo getting to know about OFA. I think it's special 😊 & great for his character development 😊😊 oh & definitely the All Might & AFO fight 👌🔥

The Mafia Boss (Eri's grandpa) is still in coma because of Overhaul's quirk, he disassembled/assembled him to the point that he couldn't wake up... that's why during the car chase scene, Overhaul looks so distressed and scared when Shigaraki destroyed both of his hands, not just because he couldn't use his quirk again but more importantly, his quirk is his only way to 'save' his adopted father (the boss) by using his quirk again to fix him... now that he can't use his quirk he can't save him from coma anymore...

Nah I haven't read the MHA manga. It felt like it fell off imo because of how good season 4 was and the seriousness of it with the finale. It's tough to go from peak to more normal again. It felt kind of like if the Foxy arc in OP were to follow Marineford or something lol. A bit of an exaggeration but yeah =P

The overheating Nick, think of it as a computer... the more you use it the hotter it gets, and the more you use demanding programs running the hotter it even gets... and so it can perform really well for a moment but the longer it last the faster it destroys itself... so aside from surpassing All Might... that's one of the reason why he need to wed a wife who can offset his offspring's firepower so they can't have a fire that is stronger than his fire (for a child that will definitely be harder to control)... that's the reason why.... that's the reason....

Based on your reaction from S1-S4, i think you will not hate the season 5 at all ! It might bored you a little bit on some. But there are moments that you will appreciate it especially regarding todoroki's family situation. Season 5 is the worst execution plotwise, especially the timeline can make you confuse if you didn't paid attention but still, it's still good and important for the nuance and contexts story.
