My heart breaks for poor Natsuo in episode 18. He had plans and everything, but he had to come to a traumatizing family dinner, got unintentionally guilt-tripped for his perfectly reasonable feelings, and then got kidnapped and almost died several times. And then, Endeavor gave him another traumatic speech in the middle of the road before he could even catch his breath properly. A lot of people really like to praise Endeavor in this episode, but I think Natsuo's trauma is a bit glossed over by many. He's now both an abuse survivor and hostage survivor.

Yea the thing that was supposed to make this season was the upcoming arc which is arguably the best arc in the manga. But bones cut content and condensed it into 4 episodes with mediocre art & animation which just sealed this season as thr worst.

the big problem of season 5 is still how they massacred the manga by cutting IMPORTANT story stuff and swapping arcs just for the movie

Rest of the season is pretty good, season 6 is great and the current season is shaping up to be the best season of MHA. Season 7 has been amazing.

Don't forget about the movie! I would have watched it earlier but I understand why some people are telling you to wait until the end of the season. Anyways, great reaction! These two episodes are definitely amazing, I always love seeing the Todoroki family.

Yeah the upcoming arc is one of my favorite in manga but in the anime... such a downgrade. They cut some parts, censored some scenes and overall mid animation/art. It's still a good watch though with a few great scenes and character development that raise the level of the arc

For the rest of season 5 keep an eye out for anytime a time frame is mentioned. They moved the arcs around in season 5 so it can be confusing. That lab scene at the end of 5x19 is supposed to take place at the end of the season but was weirdly placed when they swapped arcs.

I never really liked My Villain Academia but it's actually SO good. Can't wait for the reactions. You should watch the Opening on one of the My Villain Academia episodes but its up to you. Also, you'll be able to watch the 3rd movie after season 5 I'm pretty sure😭👍

Truly love seeing Nick turn around on Endeavor. I remember him absolutely hating Endeavor in the beginning, and rightfully so, but then recognizing that the guy is truly hurt and trying to atone.

I think that's what frustrated me the most about this season. They rushed MVA and had multiple filler episodes that could have been replaced with actual important stuff that was cut from MVA. The weird swapping of the arcs was also frustrating because they spoiled some of the dramatic moments within the season by showing what happens in the future. It completely ruins the mystery. S5 was still good, but it could have been SO much better.

hi nick - you could probably watch the 3rd movie either now, or at the end of the season. you've made it past everything that i remember it having any spoilers, however it came out when the season finished. Either way, I think you'd enjoy it about the same.

This season has some great moments, shame the first arc sets its reputation. 1A vs 1B was okay but it taking over 2 months for all those episodes to air definitely hurt the opinions on this season.

The problem your comments have isn't that you forget things, it is that the flashback literally reminds you of the important details and you don't pay attention. Toya was mentioned in the same episode during the flashback just in case you forget the obscure details. You need to start pausing when you go on rants so you don't miss things, but then you will get complaints for pausing ^_^

I love that the car Aizawa and Mic are using is a Ford Mustang, sick. The American cultural elements of this show are one of the reasons I love it so much!
