LETS GOOOOOO IVE BEEN WAITING SO HYPE

Anthony Duque

LETS GOOO SO CLOSE TO SEASON 6 TOO

Rekaz

LESS GO

Joshy

Let’s goooooo been waiting 🥰

Ash

WOOOOOOOOO

spring deerling

LETS GO!! I LOVE shigarakis backstory. It gets even better. Sad mans parade is amazing, twice and shiggy are def some of my top characters.

103_luna_111

I have been waiting for this moment, this is why I love season 5. CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT on all sides, and the truth behind Shigaraki and his evolution as a villain and as the successor to One for All. (Just as Deku evolves to his own standard of All Might, Shigaraki finds his own will to do more than All for One has... like he isn't doing this for him- he's doing it for himself and those who believe in his ideals)

Seminole

Thanks for the upload man this series is my fav of all time and love seeing you enjoy it too

Sr RafaTV

bones thank you, they made this episode so well

RoneZoneTV

This arc and endeavor agency is exactly why I can forgive joint training going on too long

DarkenedBlade1

I seriously can't wait for him to see season 6, and 7.. they're for sure in my top 3 (season 4 will always be at the top for me)

IllestBon

bro the one day I wear a green shirt XD

Idk

Love the MHA reactions

Arkan Matlub

Well. He skipped the opening. I am done

Arkan Matlub
>>145124210

Been hoping he would react to the slight different intro for a while saying it in the latest episodes but eh

EueClaire
>>145124210

the openings always have spoilers in them so it makes sense why he skips them.

AcentGG

yes nick shigaraki is related to all for one user the grandma the master all might had

Ghost

i love the villains so much

Annett Olea

Not me wearing a green shirt 💀

Derrik Germain

Of course I had to be wearing a green shirt while watching this upload...don't hurt me Nick!

Sr RafaTV

next episode gonna be crazy

AcentGG

PLEASE DO MHA WEEK FOR SEASON 6

Sai

they already mentioned that in S3 in AFO fight he told All might that Tenko Shimura is Nana Shimura' grandson

DiamondBoiz

Bro I'm actually wearing a green shirt while watching this 😭what are the chances. (Please don't kill me)

meiikao

One thing I really love about mha is how they portray character's backstories, it doesn't even have to be bad or sad like Tenko's but it still makes you connect to the character and like them even more

spring deerling

His mom still reaching out to comfort him while she's dying always gets me. She really loved him, they just should've spoke up about the dad sooner :(. His grandma being shimura nana was mentioned back in season 3 I think, but we don't really touch on it too much. She didn't want villains targeting her kid so she abandoned him.

matteo nindido

Surprisingly, this arc (the villain arc you are watching right now) is one of the most hated on arcs, and least favorite arcs in the anime. I've never understood that though, it's one of my favorite arcs and clearly one of yours in MHA. (Also, we already knew about shigaraki's grandma being an OFA user)

Lightning

Peak!!! For me I love this show but I didn’t particularly care for Shiguraki until this episode. This episode solidified the show as one of my favorites because it gave me a complete villain with excellent storytelling. So good!

Sabrina

More awesome back story coming next season 💓

ezra

in short btw! shigaraki tomura is tenko shimura, his name got changed, nana shimura is his grandma and an one for all vestige also all might's master.

e10

Yeah the action is cool but imo backstories and characterization is what MHA has over other shows. It’s probably not in my top 10 favorite anime but when it comes to characters there’s definitely one or two in my top 10.

Jarvice

I was convinced I was watching a different show when this came out lmao. We went from happy school days to this tragedy.

Kuso

how do you forget nana shimura and her relation with shigiraki everytime they mention it LOL

CEEmma

When My Hero wants to, it can make some of the most compelling villains in fiction.

Krokus

I do believe that I called it. When people said season 5 was ass, I did say that there was at least on scene/episode that you would like more than the end of season 4 in this season.

rizqiefajar

Watching multiple shows at once really makes you forgot huh haha. Nana Shimura (7th wielder) was shown to be related to Shigaraki since S3 during the AFO vs All Might fight. And then they sprinkled the info a bit over time.

Nicholas Brock

you already knew he was All Might's Masters grand child back when All Might fought All for One

James Campbell

they already mentioned his grandma being a previous holder of ofa yiu just dont pay attention

TheReveredNinja

Can't believe he forgot the big reveal that Shigaraki is related to Nana. From season 3. All for One revealing this to All Might at the time made him feel hopeless. It even gave him the desire to try and save Shigaraki.

Chichi

Nick you are in for a wild ride, and we ain't stopping anytime soon!

Ayo
>>145129549

no, he just forgot. he’s talked about them being related multiple times

no u uwu

The fact they made his itching psychosomatic is probably still one of my favourite things. W writing.

Mert Akyüz

There is no way Nick forgot that she is Shigarakis Grandma... i get that you forget stuff while watching it, we all do but that was a BIG plot twist in S3 during the All Might vs All For One fight, really suprised that he forgot it.

Ash

oh nah im wearing a green shirt im cooked 😭

Martin Fink

I'll be honest I think we all had that reaction; "Awh look at the Corgi" "Not the dog!!!!!!!!"

mcgooen

Your reactions are the highlight of my week! It can definitely be a lot to remember while juggling multiple series, but All For One dropped the bomb on All Might in season 3 that Tomura Shigaraki (real name: Tenko Shimura) is the grandson of Nana Shimura's-- All Might's master and predecessor! Tenko's origin story is absolutely heartbreaking.

Kleed44

This series does villains the best - it only gets better from here!! :)

David Sebastian

Shiggy is the best written shonen villain of the past decade and it isnt remotely close

Martin Fink
>>145130081

He is watching 5 other anime at once so he is being overloaded with information.

Enzo Jesus Aguilera Aros

sad but really epic and with good animation, from this part to the next season is more dark and i love that

Martin Fink
>>145121903

Tell me about it after what we learn later on we learn later on it's some Aizen level manipulation.

Martin Fink
>>145129170

Yea but he is watching 5 other anime with this so he is being information overloaded.

tyla_xoxo
>>145131032

Bro once i saw him throw the ball im like ohh crap.... so when the dog came up again im like no not the corgi not the corgi! I refused to look while saying that im the type of person who wont watch a movie with a animal getting hurt but will rrelax watching something like a murder documentery even when ik its fake

ErendGoat

Yea and to make you even sadder, you know how during the last reaction I said one's quirk extremely influences one's personality/character traits. Which is why toga is like a crack fiend for blood? So when Shigaraki's quirk started to manifest, he developed a strong itch and the itch always got worse whenever he refused the urge to destroy/decay. So as his emotions boiled ovet about his family, he started to decay without him even realizing it thus killing his dog. So yea this arc explores the darkside of superhuman society. Who are there to save those who were extremely unlucky or just curse with a terrible power. The answer to that is almost never because one thing that was explore during the stain arc and before is how modern heroes aren't truly heroic and are only in it for the money and fame thus only are present in large cities where massive crimes to tend to happen to attain the spotlight. They didn't really walk amongst the streets trying to seek those who really needs saving. Thus these ppl feel abandoned as they continue to suffer thus becoming villains. The reason why shigaraki hate all might so much is because he played a major part in modern heroes losing their heroism. All Might made himself a God and took on everything by himself and removed all the responsibilities creating a false sense of security amongst the masses. All Might the man who can save anyone but not actually?? Now the civilians have it in their mind that saving isn't really there responsibility so they typically don't lend a helping hand to those that heroes might not see or be able to save.

Blastsu

Villains are done amazingly in this series!

t-menk

I don't believe Tenko's father had ever physically abused him up to that point. His mother said as much after it happened. She basically admitted that Kotaro had been tough on his son and they had appeased to "his rules of the house", but laying a hand on him physically was too much. Even Kotaro himself admitted that he had gone too far and was remorseful. His dog was comforting him, his sister came to apologize, his mom and grandparents put Kotaro in his place and were on their way to check on Ten/comfort him, and his dad(as mentioned above) was remorseful and seemingly on his way to apologize as well. If Decay didn't activate at that exact moment, Tenko may not have turned into Shiggy. This little detail becomes much more important later on, but I won't spoil.

e l i e h i t s u k i

the way shimura's despair and hurt and trauma is depicted is so well done, it makes me cry and kind of emotionally triggers me, because i also grew up in a family with emotional and physical abuse. idk, i think this show has so much to tell, it's amazing. although i will probably never watch this episode by myself ever again for my own mental health, this is fire.

Michele

I know it's been a while since you learnt it but you should know about shigaraki and her grandmother's since all might vs all for one in season 3

Natalie Harlow

this is the 3rd time the show tells you Nick haha, yes, Nana shimura is Shigaraki's grandma, it was one of the big moments in the all might vs all for one fight too

czarny172

Bro how do you forget that Nana was Shigi's grandma ???!!!

Skifreak 5150
>>145135081

He should definitely know it considering he actually predicted it like 3 episodes before the AFO vs all might fight

SimpleSav

The whole theme of MHA is don't be a shit parent, lol. I was SO excited for this reaction.

Rachel_Roo34

Season 5 is slow but when it hits...it hits HARD! Cant wait for next week!

Wesley Lambert

Completely forgot about this episode somehow. Man did it hit!

Kokai
>>145135955

He watches alot of anime, so ofc he forget and its fine

Aquos Rocketleague & Stuff

Im not sure if you understood nick, in case you didnt: Twice as you know wasnt sure if he is the real twice, or just a clone, after he had to fight all his clones. As he said a clone would disappear if it would take too much damage like a broken bone for example. The twice robots, broke both his arms and he didnt disappear, which made him sure of being the real one, and breaking the cycle. Also when he said he could have tried to kill himself, he meant he would have found out if he was the real one by that.

James Perrott
>>145129549

You clearly didn’t watch any of his previous reactions if you thought he didn’t pay attention idiot. It’s one thing that’s easy to forget

James Perrott
>>145126532

It’s not. It’s just loud obnoxious Twitter manga reader who care more about a blue sky than their own life. They think if the animation is in any way not as good as deku vs todoroki then it’s “trash animation” They’re idiots who think every single moment MUST be 100% perfect incredible animation to be good. Spoiled children and nothing more The animation is perfectly fine this arc. Even if not outstanding. The arc itself is amazing, animation doesn’t determine and arcs quality alone

James Perrott
>>145124210

“i aM dOnE” No you arent. Be quiet dramatic clown. It’s a 1 second shot in the into changed to show villains. It literally doesn’t matter at all. Stop overreacting like it matters in any way

James Perrott
>>145123310

Endeavour agency was very messy though with bad pacing, watching it weekly it was really not very good till the end of it

James Perrott

Shigarakis sister Hana seems familiar to you because she looks EXTREMELY similar to the little girl Mahoro from the second my hero movie She has the same pigtails, and almost the exact same outfit in different colours, i wonder if it was even accidental, they’re so so similar actually My hero does such a good job at making them so cute and innocent looking, made this much more painful..

James Perrott

Yeah Shigarakis grandmother Nana Shimura was the One for All user before all might, one of All mights mentors with Gran Torino Easy to forget since it was mentioned before but never for very long. All for one revealed it to all might and that’s why all might got so angry in his fight, and why he almost started hesitating to want to fight Shigaraki cause he’s the son of all mights mentor, but Gran Torino told All might not to think that way

James Perrott

The anime has always censored Shigarakis decay to look like turning to stone and crumbling to ashes, as opposed to breaking people into literal chunks which is how it is in the manga. It being shown in its uncensored full detail here made it SO much darker and more impactful, I can’t even believe they show so close up shots of the literal chunks of his dog and Hana in a pool of blood it’s so unbelievably brutal for my hero

James Perrott

And all this happened when he was FIVE To then after all this be taken in and manipulated by All for one of all people, I can’t blame shigaraki for a second for becoming who is he today

MrPeaxie

nick if you didnt notice, redestro literally ripped of 2 of shigarakis fingers. its only censored in s5 where it just looks like his fingers were broken

Abigail Jerry

So begins his understanding and dare I say… likeness of shigaraki??? 🤔 Cuz lemme tell you.. as much as I LOATHE him… I feel for him 🥲 cuz in reality… I hate All for One even more.

Zack Crow

Lets wait until you reach the ending and then you will feel even more devastated about the truth of his quirk.

RadzioxxD

The moment when Tomura's mother runs to him when she is already starting to fall apart is the most hitting for me And Shigaraki for me is one from The best Villains in new age of Anime's/Manga

Jeremy Brooks

Told ya these would make up for this season 😂

Sickness

He literally had the caffeine jitters or something close to it. He couldn't sit still and he was going everywhere with what he was saying lol

yasmina C
>>145149576

it's honestly so sad....knowing she still wanted to protect him, even though he was the one causing it T_T

Daemon TLH
>>145135955

know that this is no hate towards nick before the white knights pop up , but i feel it would be better if he eased up on some anime he's watchin now until he's finished with some of the others , there are some anime he was very close to finishing n he jus stopped although he explained the reason , n again this is no hate but if he paused some anime's he's watchin now ion think he'd forget things as often

Malachi Newman

Definitely one of the best episodes ever

Arkan Matlub
>>145124210

He has already reacted to the openings before he started watching the series over a year ago. I obviously want him to react to the different versions that change in the op, i will also nag to him about the different endings in season 6

Arkan Matlub
>>145124210

Who are you? To be that negative of my enjoyment of reactions? I want them to fully experience the joy of seeing minor details change the theme of the opening. Be gone from my view

dartcp

If the release of season 7 continues to be as bumpy as it is currently, you'll even catch up with the current episodes

dartcp

From a purely logical point of view, the accident with the dog will happen more often because the powers are activated at a young age and you never know which one it will be. It will definitely happen more often that a child cuddles with the pet or the parents and then the child shoots a laser from the belly button or the fingers turn into knives or it starts to burn etc

jcubb

Twice is like a crazy deadpool

jcubb

wait wtf im deadass wearing a green shirt

Nathan

this episode made me see this anime differently man it's all peak from here

FunRon

Nick please do a mha week when you start seasson 6, you could catch up to current episodes!

Abigail Jerry

MHA WEEK so you can catch up to season 7! 🔥 seeing the parallels of the story from what he’s watching right now to what current watchers are viewing in season 7… crazy man. 🤌🏾

Abigail Jerry
>>145131032

I laughed too hard when Nick saw the dog because I knew what was bout to occur 😭😂

alluzboy 18
>>145164941

Well the thing is that when a child of that age manifests their quirk its pretty rare that the manifested quirk will be as strong as in this case. The quirks evolve as people grow up and because of that I dont think that this would be a common situation. And even when the kids start developing their powers further I dont think that ahything serious is gonna happen for most of the time since they live in a pretty developed superhuman society and I guess maiking your kids control their powers from very young age is something people just do, especially if this is something that goverments look over.

Gray Matters

Nick just realizing Nana was Tomura's Grandmother even though All for One told All Might during their fight and that's why he got all depressed

Abigail Jerry

think about this in its MOST psychological form for a 5 year old… k? the saddest part is that even when the father came out, after the decay got activated, his ‘pure innocent 5 freaking year old self’ said to his dad, “I’m sorry”… I’m freaking sorry! Because he’s a kid! Then for the dad to hit him again instead of maybe.. maybe embracing him or saying something comforting to TRY for once… maybe shiggy wouldn’t have been shiggy 🤷🏾‍♀️ But nope, instead his PSYCHE literally BROKE… and in that CHANCE OF A MOMENT… pureee destruction and intent to kill caused him IMENSEEE PLEASURE.. like bro 😕 shit crazy fam. You’ll learn more about him next ep anyways. Shigaraki is justified (not literally, but y’all know what I mean). Feel bad for him real deep.

Kokai

MHA WEEK MHA WEEK MHA WEEK! BTW WATCH THE MOVIE NICK!

Kleed44
>>145162798

He's gonna catch up regardless, but the reason there was no episode this past weekend was due to the Olympics and Japanese TV laws/regulations - and the week break 2 or 3 weeks ago was a planned break to split up the season into part 1 and part 2. Let's hope it's smooth sailing from here though! :)

Jan33vio

Explanation for Nick: the Picture that Shiragaki's sister showed was his grand-mother and former owner of One-for-all and mentor of All Might. during the fight bewtween All-for-one and All Might it in episode 11 in season 3 that fact was already reveald. Hope it helps you a bit better to understand it

Tobi

ive never seen this episode before but that shit just traumatised me

Fake HSGO

Nick, here is the link of the moment when All for one reveals Shigaraki's origin about Nana Shimura (his grandmother), U can't remember that for the amount of animes that u watch, but I hope that would be useful to you :)... Love your content btw... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYfiq-IqxgU

Fake HSGO
>>145199291

Otherwise... "Tenko Shimura: Origin" is one of the best episodes of the whole show <3

Chris Gama

Imagine if the dad didn't have such a hatred for Heroes, he probably would have, like most parents do, brought his child to a doctor to help identify his quirk, and once they did he could have probably started learning how to use it properly and in a positive way, to start on the path of using it in a heroic way.

Flaycont

You already know about nana aka all might's master being shigaraki's grandma

Fallen Crest

What I love about MHA is how human the characters feel. Hero, villain, or civilian. The show does a very good job of showing their humanity. It really tugs at my heart when I watch the episodes that humanize these heroes and villains that seem larger than life when compared to the civilians in this world. It's why I love the story so much. Other animes do this to, but I think I connect with it more in MHA because backstories like abuse and bullying and family trauma are more realistic than some of the backstories in other animes so it hits me harder.

Abigail Jerry

The fact that Shigaraki’s VA is Tsukki from Haikyu… is crazy to me 🥲

oi me name's Rick

Tragedy- Nana, the 7th One For All user, was hunted down by All For One. Eventually her husband was killed, leading her to put Kotaro up for foster care. All Might and Gran Torino were not permitted to get into contact with him because of All Might being the 8th, and those close to him may also be targeted. Nana did this for her son to be safe and happy... even if she was killed by All For One soon after writing her final letter to him. Sadly Kotaro was left in the dark on exactly what happened there, and felt she abandoned him to further pursue her hero career. His hatred for heroes led to the abuse of who could've been his heroic children, Tenko and Hana. First Tenko's dad would tell him "no talking about heroes". Then he gets smacked for learning that his grandmother was a hero... finally when he kills Hana he must be thinking... "this isn't a villain attack, right now I must be the villain. I can never be a hero." From there the hatred for his current state took him back to the source... his father, his family's defense of his actions and the house that he built. No coincidence that the scratching happened when he was at home... The entire sequence was so heartbreaking to watch, especially his mother's hug attempt. The wonderful thing about this too is how the hints were always there. At the USJ he calls his face hand "Father" in a very mourning tone once All Might knocks it off, sounds like he could even cry on the spot. He outright remembers Kotaro's disembodied hand on the floor in front of him as he rants to Deku at the mall... VERY easy to overlook. Little thing but in that scene the hand appears on the floor inside his house because his memories are still suppressed, or "glitchy" as he called them. Then he calls the hand "Father" again at the bar after Bakugo blows it off. His hatred for the heroes, the bystander effect of the people at the mall as he was choking Deku was so reflective of how his family acted when he needed them most. This might be my favorite episode too, I loved seeing Tomura's memories fully return. Loved the reaction!

TRIX-MAS

i was waiting for this since day one my guy. i love that backstory for tenko shimura.

Jean P

Shigaraki really thinks of the most childish interpretations of complicated situations. He is truly a sociopath.

oi me name's Rick
>>145144545

This is true! Also for a second as Shigaraki is rushing towards Redestro it appears kinda uncensored, just a splash of blood coming off of where his fingers used to be. Then it goes back to appearing broken

Mustard

You should watch the third MHA movie before going into season 6! It's the best one honestly, imo

Nick A Sam III

What I love about this arc is that its the villains going on a shonen hero arc, powering up from their bonds/friendship, working together against a larger evil(er) force

michael ESSS

They revealed that All Mights predecessor was Shigarakis grandmother in like season 3. If u remember it was when Gran Torino told All Might then All Might started to say he had to save Shigaraki

e l i e h i t s u k i
>>145134995

like i genuinely can't blame shigaraki for becoming what he is today. his trauma paired with AFOs grooming shaped him. i especially love the part in one of the openings where deku is reaching out to shigaraki, as his adult flesh tears away and shimura tumbles to the ground. such nice symbolism.

Azariel 竜月

Bruh don't remember stuff xD , it's ok , during AFO vs All Might, he revealed that shigaraki tomura was Shimura Tenko , the grandson of Shimura Nana , the previous user of OFA , Master of All Might. AFO stumbled upon him and decided to grom him to get to All Might and so creepy revenge, because All Might fucked him up . Shimura Nana, left her kid to someone because AFO was getting close to her this putting her kid at risk , she then gave OFA to Toshinori Yagi and formed him into All Might, but then she faught AFO and was killed . Her Kid got messed up about heroes and became violent , witch triggered a really fcked quirk awakening in Tenko

Azariel 竜月

And yeah quirk are really tied to personality and environment, like look at Twice , his parents died when he was in middle school, he got insanely lonely, thus his ability to double stuff , him not being alone , but he became even more lonely after he lost his job to some BS fck. The author knows how to make some really tragic backstory

Mels

The moment the mother tries to reach out and hug Tenko even when she's already disintegrating breaks my heart. Maybe she really was afraid of the father but she truly loved her son. This is definitely one of the best mha backstories. I really don't hate any of the villains, only all for one. He's evil, while the others are severely traumatized (except Toga maybe, she's just messed up-).

Mels

Nick, to remind you. All for one already told All Might that Shigaraki was Shimura's grandson. And she's All Might's master and predecessor (regarding one for all).

Totenkreuz

Its wild how little you remember sometimes

Sure, one random line. Not like half an episode dedicated to that, plus Nick speculating about it prior to it, and then having a big reaction during the reveal.

>>145620225

This is no hate i like his reactions, but looking multiple shows at once doesn't excuse it. I looked over a 1000 shows and i looked also every season multiple shows in a weekly bases. And for some reason i knew all of it also. But i also understand that some people are smarter or more attentive than others. So i can understand if someone forgets it. But sometimes it can be a little annoying, but that's all. Just live with it, no one have to watch him if it is so terrible for some guys.
