could be a 12 episode season, we will be left with 3.5-4 volumes, which the 1st season did cover exactly 3-4 volumes. For a movie, it would actually have to be a long-ass movie, possible tho. I personally think we wil get a seons tho, coz otherwise it doesnt make sense why they made seaosn 7 only 21 eps, coz the movie would actually benefit if they made a longer season, coz the way it is the movie would have to be quite long.

I love how graphic they have been this season like showing Shigaraki burning to a crisp and his eye disintegrating was so cool - I just wish they were a bit more faithful to the manga art with Dabi this season, but that's a convo for a future reaction lol

Honestly, in my opinion, Star's fight was quite short and almost meaningless compared to the power he has, it was pretty meh.

They had to kill off Star and her quirk, she was way too op lmao. What’s annoying is how easily her quirk could have killed Shigaraki if she knew more about physics but it’s anime so u gotta just overlook it. People don’t realize how big her sacrifice was tho strictly because our guys straight up lose if they didn’t get that week of prep time

They did the star fight really well as far as comparing it to the manga. Horikoshi has some stunning art and it's a shame it can't be captured in the anime properly most of the time. Star was a real one. Nerfing shigaraki, destroying quirks, buying us more time so we actually have a chance. RIP

I feel like there's so many instances where shigaraki looks either somewhat angelic or straight up nasty and they just can't capture it. Or how amazing endeavor or dabi looks with their flames surrounding them.

I get in theory the purpose of including Star into the story by Horikoshi. He needed to significantly weaken Tomura before the final battle and he needed to explain why no other countries were willing or able to send aid to Japan, but much like most of the problems I have with the latter part of the story, he goes from setting things up well and paying them off later to starting to show awesome moments with no set up and showing flashbacks to explain or attempt to make us care. I agree that Star dying made no impact on me and it’s completely because aside from a one off line from All Might Arcs ago about going to train in America and making a friend, she’s not set up at all. Cool character that was wildly underutilized with an OP power.

It's because the story was never about Star. And she only serves as a stopgap, as you mentioned. If she was built up to levels that were equal to her power, theres no reason she would have lost. This isn't her story.
