Watched this on stream, great episodes, that are not ruined by flashbacks. Sometimes you need to understand, that there was more than 10 years difference between episodes

As you mentioned, a lot of these flash backs served as both a reminder and a nostalgia pont for weekly watchers of the show, since a decade or more time passed between them airing. There weren't super reliable ways of streaming old episodes either, so for some, this was the first time since seeing it 10 years before that they got to relive those moments. It certainly makes it not hit as hard when it feels like being forced to rewatch something watched recently, but a part of that is just the way the show was designed unfortunately 😭 it's meant to tug on the nostalgia and heart a lil :~) I hope you (nick) are able to enjoy that a little bit as you see it through the war

Keep skipping flashbacks, they are just annoying and drawn out to get cliffhangers at the end of the episodes. In the manga they are usually just a panel to remind the reader. But the anime shows full episodes

the flash back are not really about the reanimation or whatever other reason, it's just there as a reminder for an episode that was aired in 2007 with a linked event to an episode in 2015, since you are watching the show in one go instead of a weekly release of 700 episodes you can follow with previous events without needing a flashback

Is there any way to catch up with the streams so I can watch them? I tried to find the streams on twitch, but I saw no info about anything really under the schedule section. But I don't want to be far ahead all the sudden, I'd like to catch up first. I watched on Youtube first then found this Patreon awhile ago, and then I heard about the streams, but Idk anything about where they are streamed or when, I was assuming twitch?

He streams on Twitch. He deletes the Twitch VOD to avoid copyright and termination of his twitch channel. Nick posts 2 episodes every upload and is currently on 275, so there's not really a way to catch up for a little while.

Tell him to not skip a flashback he never sees , he literally skipped the kakashi and naruto talking on the bridge which was NEW and it impacted the final blow scene so much .
