The good thing about Reincarnated as a Slime is that the “recap episodes” are unique and have new things in them so to speak. They’re more worth watching than any other anime’s recap episodes if you’ve forgotten stuff.

When I saw Land of the Lustrous' latest volume (at the time) this shot up to my favorite isekai. That's another series you should look into... hopefully Orange gets onto animating the next season instead of that furry Beastialitystars and butchered Trigun remake

The Slime Diaries spinoff series is also worth seeing and deals with normal city life. You can watch it privately in Slime City. the slime ova episodes rimuru's wonderful time as a teacher 1-3 are story cannon between seasons 1 and 2. and the film Scarlet Bond between seasons 2 and 3 is also quite good and worth seeing

nah the people who hate on season 3 are 100% action only fans cuz if they readed the tags for slime they would have never watch this anime, this anime heavily focus on world building, politics, kingdom management and more its like watching a romance anime and getting upset that their is romance

I personally didn´t like how the meetings were portrayed in the anime. There was almost no camera movement or animation. It felt like listening to an audiobook and looking at few PNGs. The contents of the meetings were interesting, but I would have much rather read them in the light novels. I think that is why people didn´t like the season. It was just an OK adaptation. (for example, even Death Note would loose a lot of it´s magic if the anime just did a barebones adaptation - if there weren´t those incredible OSTs, interesting camera angles and movement...)

It is, but it's mostly unimpactful slice of life and the characters it introduces won't be relevant outside of background cameos until next season at the earliest

It is canon. It’s just more showing slice of life events with the characters that takes place before Rimuru leaves to teach and while they are building up the city. Some of the characters it introduces as well as a location in it appears later on in the anime

hey nick , I really recommend you watch the OAD 3-5 since they include some important stuff, plus watch the Visions of Coleous after the first cour of the 2nd season since if you watch it in between you might get spoiled.
