Nich with 569'th revelations it s obvious that shirahoshi is extremely important to the overall plot. You think we wont see her again but she is Poseidon, an ancient weapon related to joy boy, the void century etc. Also you think that the promise will never be fullfilled but dont forget that Joyboy wrote an apology letter in poneglyph to the mermaid princess 800 years ago for not having fullfilled his promise. Neptune and Otohime think that the day of promise where noah will be used thx to shirahoshi s power will come thx to a certain man. And Luffy just made a promise to the current shirahoshi that he ll make her able to go to the surface. This scene is extremely important. There are parallelism with joyboy s promise and we can try to guess that it was something similar. Also, Luffy will destroy FMI in the prophecy of shirley. It can be several years from now as said camie. There s a high chance it s linked to the promise made to shirashi, the noah and poseidon power.

Thats 70 episodes of terrible non-canon dragged out reactions, shit comedy, terribly animated running and slow motion scenes etc, Nicks gonna suffer like pretty much everyone else. Toei destroys the stories experience and reputation with this adaptation that sacrifices the quality for a weekly release. One pace is more true to the manga. Oda’s masterpiece deserves better
