I really like episode 9, that simultaneous victory of Fern and Stark was beautiful. With Stark using his durability like a shonen character to give an all-out strike while she's open hitting his side.

Yes and no. I would liked all trhee episodes but thats not how stuff is released in the first place. As manga/anime fan ylu are used to wait. And worse than a clifhanger is a week without content. So yes, i would have wanted all three episodes. But having to wait 2 weeks for the next is worse than waiting one week

Yeah if this happens to more series I might cancel and just try to catch a stream and watch on youtube if I miss it. No real point if getting stuff "early" means waiting 1 week compared to 2 on youtube instead of getting stuff here right after stream

Manga right now is not crazy quite the opposite its on indefinite hiatus meaning 6-12 months of nothing IF we get lucky. We might not see Frieren return at all if worst comes to show

Sousou has two interpretations. Its written with "to bury" and "farewell". Usually has a sad connotation and People who read it thought the anime was called like this because Frieren outlives all his companions. Then they pull this epic escene fully giving context to Frierens past and tittle... She is called Sousou no Frieren using the negative meaning of the word, yea something like "slayer". Shes also such a badass for being the one who killed the most demons in history, and did it on a 10 year lapse of time

Flamme put the barrier on a single plant and that plant turned into a city in thousand years. Of course the barrier increased in size. I love this subtle details in this show. Masterpiece.

FYI, The original Japanese title, Sousou no Frieren, has a double meaning that didn't make it into the English translation. It can mean both "Frieren at the Funeral" (i.e. Himmel's in the first episode) and "Frieren of Funerals" (because she killed so many demons she became synonymous with burials). It was understandably localized as Frieren the Slayer, but the ending of episode 8 is a sick title drop for the show itself.
