This episode is peak Frieren. We all knew Frieren was stronger and that she was concealling her mana, but despite how predictable that scene was, the execution, the buildup, the music, the editing, the line delivery was perfection.

No doubt Warriors are probably more sturdy than any other class (just an extra thing that Eisen is a Dwarf, so extra sturdiness) but more importantly Linnie just doesn't have the muscle mass to cleave most people in 2. Stark was under the assumption she does which is why he didn't want to get hit by her. This is also substantiated by him saying her hits weren't heavy

honestly nick i agree with the people about your streams on this anime, you get distracted so easily and it can be a little annoying to bare with as you focus on chat while the anime is playing. you can tease all you want about us but were not wrong on how it brings the quality of the reaction down

As much as having chat to look at is cool and stuff, feel like alot of time is spending looking at that over the actual show on screen. Not hating, but you tend to miss like most of the information being shown on screen when u do live reactions for the frieren episodes so far. You might be reading it really quickly then glancing at chat, but your not digesting anything imo. For example, although some other guy said it (although the comment was a bit far lmao), at 6:00 your assumption that frieren was stronger doesnt really make any sense; Like the entire flashback up until that point was for demonstrating that. Again, not hating, just wanted to mention this; as up until the first 6 minutes, you spend like a good 2-3 minutes talking about emotes in the chat not paying attention.

Her literal ability on the wiki lets her imitate, at a fraction of the strength. Even a fraction of the strength of Eisen is still incredibly strong. Not only that but its one of aura's demon soldiers? 🤦‍♀️ Its only possible that stark is incredibly powerful that he didn't get cut in half. Legit one of the best episodes of anime I’ve ever watched. And I’ve been watching this shit since the 90’s…….this is one of those episodes that leaves your jaw on the floor. Bebop episode 5, trigun episode 5, flcl episode 2, cyberpunk episode 6, there’s just this “tier” that certain anime episodes reach that is ACTUAL PEAK. Not to mention warriors in the Frieren cannon use their mana to increase the strength of their blows and defend their bodies. It’s simply a different use of mana than mages. Line hadn’t put in the work to make her blows heavy since she copies not masters . She hasn’t put in the time to go up against an actual badass warrior

Flamme existed slightly over a thousand years ago. Frieren was trained by flamme making her at least slightly over 1000 years old. If you pay attention this is reveled to you before this ep. IF you pay attention

It’s not about her muscle mass. If you read the manga they also state that warriors use mana to fortify their bodies. Linie has mana and knows techniques but she hasn’t put in the proper training to properly utilize that mana so that it creates strikes as effective as eisen and stark.

BTW I don't like these translators, cause there was so much more options than "slayer" that fit way better. "Sousou" means the funeral rites, or attending the funeral, and it has way more meaning that way for Frieren. They could have translated it to "Frieren that does the final rites", or, if you want a shorter war nickname, "Frieren the Burier" would be more accurate than simply "Slayer".
