Incase yall don’t know, on FEBRUARY 21, we’ll be finishing the rest of bleach AND starting TYBW on stream. Which is why there won’t be any new bleach today.

And then TOMORROW, we will begin our FULL METAL ALCHEMIST reactions. I’ve decided to start from the beginning again, since it’s been years since I’ve watched the anime and I forgot absolutely everything about it.

I strongly suggest you watch FMA first(or at least until the break point in which FMA turned to its anime original plot) or finish FMA and then watch FMAB because the first 13 episodes of FMAB are "speedrun" version of the episodes that were animated in FMA so they lack the care and attention those storylines require plus they cut a lot of characters backstories so you kinda losing information by just watching FMAB.

I also think starting from the begining, but I would reccomend just skipping base FMA and Just straight into FMAB - there is a few things the original did better but overall no question that FMAB is just better and such a good show. cant wait to watch your reactions to it

why no DUB? I think both is great choices and from all the shows I would say its one of the best Dubbed shows. I watched the show a few times over the years in Dubbed and Subbed. and I prefer the dub actually but I get everyone have their opinion. just curious why you prefer the Sub?

I recommend you start from the beginning with FMAB! The experience of the show is better and there's some important details that come into play later (Been waiting Years for this to return and I'm so glad you wanted to get back to it Nick!)

Nick going into tybw, remember that for people who watched the og when it aired there was a full 10 years between episode 366 and tybw episode 1. There’s a bit of “oh yeah, bleach is back” fan service in the first episode for that reason

I've watched FMAB Dubbed and Subbed and IMO I still feel like I enjoy the Dub more. It feels like the voices fit the characters so well. I know Dub isn't for everyone but it regarded as one of the best Dubs for a reason

Up to you but this is one of the best Dubs ever made and better than the original to me. Very accurate, nothing is lost in translation and I feel like the VA's just did a better Job. I'm normally a Sub Puritan but this Dub just hits different

People hype up the Dub way too much. It's good, maybe even one of the best Dubs I've heard, but that doesn't mean that it's better than the Sub, especially when you ignore main characters. There's already been another reactor who decided to do the Dub over the Sub because of community pressure, and he ended up switching to the Sub, so they're doesn't need to be a repeat. For people who general prefer English, they can definitely watch it in Dub, but Nick half jokingly gives a disgusted reaction whenever he accidentally watches a dub. And watching it in Sub ensures continuity from his previous watching experience of FMAB

Guess I’m in the minority who wants to wait at least a week before you start TYBW. So that way you can experience a fraction of what the fandom had experienced while waiting for TYBW to come out but it’s your choice.

SKAOG if you’re referring to GOT Games he watched the entire fmab in dub. And anime is best enjoyed in sub, im a sub purist but this dub is something else especially King Bradley’s VA. its one of the 3 anime i’d pick dub over sub. but both versions are great however

Nah not GOT Games, I'm talking about Drumroll Tony. Don't get me wrong, there's definitely nice VAs, but there's still a lack of good background characters in Dubs. And I prefer Japanese so that Japanese specific stuff doesn't get lost in translation. A TL note does the job of explaining cultural context

I don’t agree at all with people saying FMAB dubbed is better. I personally watched both. Dub first as it was one the first anime I watched, and then sub a couple years later and for me it is way better in sub. VAs in sub are so good and emotional. And I would say start over, you’ll be into the story more. Definitely excited for you to watch this one !

He watched the whole anime but, as he said in the Slime video, he stops reactions if they get few views. In my opinion it will also happen with FMAB. They are slow anime with too much narrative for today's average audience. They are not reaction anime, but to be enjoyed alone

Both are good, but restarting might help you follow it better. Also, FMAB is one of the rare shows that's good in both dubbed and subbed

Would highly recommend fmab instead of the og. It's a more complete story that follows the manga almost to a tee. I think starting back on ep 1 for brotherhood is the better option, but you can't go wrong with either really.

i would recommend to watch it dubbed, its one of those where the dub is on par with YuYu Hakusho and Cowboy Bebop (in my opinion). Outside the absolute weebs that nut for subs over dubs, i know people who dont watch anime who really enjoyed FMAB dub and never watched any other anime outside of that.

Please make sure it’s brotherhood and not just fullmetal alchemist. Brotherhood is the superior version of the show. And truthfully if you’ve already watched some of it and remember it you should pick up where you start getting foggy on the plot. I think that’d be better than rewatching stuff you’ve seen, especially as a react content creator. Much love Nick

Nick you should look into starting with some of the original FMA episodes too, there is some stuff that goes unexplained and hits harder if you watch some of the first series. Characters will be more fleshed out and some events will have a larger impact. You can still enjoy it without, but up to episode 25 of FMA is canon to FMAB. Just a suggestion.

Lol all jokes aside, sub is my way to go EXCEPT for FMA & FMAB. They did it right and like explained above, he won't need to concentrate too hard or pause and read the subtitles if we go with dub
