Comments

GOAT Watcherz ForLif3

Maybe watch for yourself Nick and decide me personally dub>sub for fmab

DTG oFF

Yayyyyyy

Gray_wm

This show is so peak, top ten anime fs

rizqiefajar

Too bad for Slime, but this is a great replacement. Great to see you coming back to this

DTG oFF

Dub is definately better.. i watch both depending on the anime.. and i see the argument to watch sub for pretty much anything.. but this is something that needs to be watched in dub.. it is just better

Hxlo

Wasn’t Fullmetal ep1 filler? Idk I never watched

Nightshade6303

It feels weird watching the sub as I’ve only watched fmab dubbed

mehul chandra

Im a sub watch but fmab is far superior in dub

GOAT Watcherz ForLif3

Yeah we need to make sure Nick knows that definitely changes the viewing experience there’s a reason fmab was rated comparatively higher In English speaking countries compared to Japan

BigSaucesRecipe

NOBODY IS GOING TO WATCH YOUR FUCKING DUB.

꧁Coltonius Maximus꧂

While I agree that the dub is good, I disagree that it has "more" emotion

YoItsNiko

sub is better for viewers because you arent hearing the same language at the same time

BigSaucesRecipe

Do you know the reactor you are watching? I've watched the FMAB dub, its good. But you spamming it in the chat is pointless. People told him to react naruto in dub for the same reason. You think he switched to it?

Forever x

this is a anime i suggest you watch in dub

Hxlo

I prefer dub still for this anime

GOAT Watcherz ForLif3

Low key pet peeve of mine when someone who doesn’t speak or know Japanese complains about English dubs but has no Idea what is actually being said in the Japanese

GOAT Watcherz ForLif3

Hence why I won’t watch gintama until I’ve learned Japanese u have to to know it for it to be a Funny as possible

GOAT Watcherz ForLif3

Vic M killed his role as Edward way better then the Japanese va did

Hxlo

He switch only because he hated Naruto dub voice even tho it’s good

BigSaucesRecipe

Gintama has text explanations to the joke in the anime. You would have to watch the big three also, and grow up with the same NHK shows japanese people grew up with to. It doesn't take you away from the series, if you dont know japanese brother

GOAT Watcherz ForLif3

The subtitles never translate 100% properly there’s words in Japanese that don’t translate

Dirk

As a dub hater, please watch in dub

GOAT Watcherz ForLif3

Tbh I hated Naruto’s English va but every other character prefer English

BigSaucesRecipe

And? Its still funny? Whats the problem. Its not like you are reading Dantes inferno in italian. This is anime!

지원

Now that Nick has already seen episodes 4 and 10, I don't think we can expect fresh reactions to those scenes lol

Sandy-X13

Japanese or English dub, i'm in it for the ride along 💪🏻

João Marcos Freitas

ok, so ed's VA is better but what about all the others voice actors?

Napolii

Great to be back!! Though this is one of 3 anime i prefer in dub, the sub is equally as good One thing about Bradley's name. King is not his title, but his first name.

Shabby

The majority people would actually say both sub and dub are fantastic and that it should be up to the viewer’s preference. If you keep spamming and being condescending towards anyone that disagrees people will just ignore you…

Napolii

have a listen to bradley’s english VA, vastly superior imo

DTG oFF

Nick.. i promise i am not willing to complain about much. I love your channel.. you have gotten me to watch shows like solo leveling and AOT just so i can watch your reactions with context.. but i promise.. not watching this in dub is a disservice to this anime.. if anything this should be the only show you watch in dub.. please..

Ok

Or give the first few episodes a try. If not good go back to sub

beansprouts

Personally i am fine with either. But Nick is a known dub hater so it will be interesting to see if he can be swayed. But yes, the dub is a bit better.

DTG oFF

I could understand that.. it would be a great way to test the waters a little, but this is the only anime where i can say definately the dub is just better.. but yeah.. you have a good point..

Matías Vaquero

This is the real PREWATCHED!! 🤣❤️

BigSaucesRecipe

For all Dub watchers saying there is more emotion than the japanese VAs, are you saying that because you only watched dub or did you watch the japanese dub also?

teatus

dub is actually goated + the bloopers are great

mehul chandra

Yes I've watched both and the dub for king Bradley is godly

지원

fr lol

지원

here we go again dub vs sub lol

Napolii

I'm a sub purist, but for fmab and 2 or so other animes i prefer the dub. i watched this anime many times in sub until last year when i watched it in dub and i have to say its top tier especially bradley's VA is just >>>> The voices also fit how the characters are presented more in the dub imo

sidlo01

F slime, will hope you will return to it some time. At least I will finaly force myself to watch FMAB

BigManFox

This is one of if not my favorite anime and I have watched it in both Sub and Dub, for me the Dub has better emotion and the voice actors really nailed their performances, but the Sub does have a better flow with a lot of characters dialogs and the jokes in the humorous scenes.

Joshua Partridge

i literally finished my first watch of this show a few days ago, so this is either the worst timing ever or the best

Rina

im glad ur getting back into this and enjoying it. the story is stellar, excited to see ur theories n reactions!

Roosterbärs

I really hope he keeps watching subbed. But god damn I'm soo glad this won over SAO.

Tyler Hughes

Personally I’m a dub enjoyer for this show. That being said I know you’re a sub enjoyer and I respect that. All I’m saying is maybe give the dub a chance for a few episodes. It’s the perfect opportunity since you’ve already watched these episodes and if you don’t enjoy it then go back to sub. Just a suggestion you can do whatever you want obviously

Xan Acktor

Thats oool you considered that. Hope you share the same treatment when you said you would continue 86 months and months ago.

Kurozakai

Of course watch whichever version you want but as a lot of others have commented, I think you should try watching the Dub for an episode or two. It's such a fantastic and iconic dub and definitely one of the best out there. Loving the content and keep it up!

Michelle Hollamon

Please, please, please, try the Dub... idk how far in advance you do the older anime but like... yeah... imho, leagues apart, literally everyone sounds so much better in the dub. And like, this isn't my #1 anime, but if I had to rank it... probably second favorite to Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Only other series I've watched at least 3 times over by now... maybe 4? I couldn't give a concrete number tbh... though Gurren Lagann, that's 9 full watches. Hence why I'd probably place this at number 2... also, you'll know when you get to it, but favorite intro is Golden Time Lover! Just saying that now, hands down my favorite Opening in FMAB. In OG FMA though ya gotta go with "Ready Steady Go!" Still a banger!

Pool

he provin how easy it is to actually prewatch. cause it basically the same lol. im surprised he wants to show us how likely other shows could be prewatched

Pool

CameraIsMe

Yoooo lets go. Been waiting for this one.

꧁Coltonius Maximus꧂

Honestly, setting aside whether sub or dub is better, the sub is still great, I dont agree with the notion that watching sub disservices the anime, and besides, nick has always checked out iconic dub moments if people recommend them, so either way yall can still show him your highlights from the dub, or vise versa if he does decide to switch(unlikely but who knows)

Sanguine Song

Overrated but I'll still watch with you 🙏

The_End

We are so back

Roro

as a sub only watcher i also recommend this anime in dub, its so good

AcentGG

im not gonna lie watching this once a week is a good idea you need to slowly finish this stuff, that and also business wise its good to stretch this for patreon subs,

Animeter

Dub sounds terrible. Sub is better.

e10

The shows u been reacting to have been fun but this one’s back on the AoT, Code Geass, Death Note level 🙏

Animeter

These dub people. I watched this in dub on GOT games Reactions and forced myself until episode 20. I don't understand how you guys prefer dub over sub. I really don't get it. Sub is so much better, imo.

Meunji

Bro finally watch fma:b again but the comments just cant give nic a break with subs or dubs. Like ffs give the dude a break and let him watch the show.

Beast

We only do subbed here. U dub people need to chill

matteo nindido

"what is a fuhrer" yeah.. look it up lmao. you might be surprised

Minato Kuba

Wow ppl going crazy😂 Ready to go through this journey again!

Glory_7

We are glad that Fullmetal peak won the vote, hope you continue till the end🙏🏼 It would be a good idea to rewatch it instead. (Btw the subbed is way better imo)

matteo nindido

its so entertaining seeing nick actually theorizing and being smart, he paid attention very well

Minato Kuba

Voted for sao but this shi is way more peak than I remember! Pumped for the rest!

Art Hub

it is like going back to the classics. FMAB is really one of the best.

Art Hub

Please don't drop again..

Usgaroth

I hear Hitsugaya and Urahara, awesome cast.

ResidentLink

Love this show, but I’ve never seen it subbed cuz I just can’t get used to it. We gonna give it a shot lol

Hxlo

One of the best shonen or the best shonen I’ve seen ur going to enjoy this one

ResidentLink

Can you react to this scene in dub with Edward

Rachael James

PLEASE WATCH IN DUB, I normally watch most shows subbed but fmab has a GOATED DUB

Super Ryo Reacts

He doesn't watch any anime in dub. He's not gonna watch this in dub, stop pushing for it. He's watching the series the way its meant to be watched.

Super Ryo Reacts

Christ, all these anime "fans" are cooked. How many comments here are crying for you to watch this in shit-ass DUBBED? Nick, I respect you so much for sticking to the original intended language. Please continue to watch this an all other anime in Japanese. Thank you!

Daniel Thompson

Yes, this dub for this anime is good, but damn the sub slaps too! So glad you're watching the sub!

Galaktik

He hasn’t seen 10 he dropped it at 7. That’s what I’m most looking forward to rn

Galaktik

It’s different from the manga but not filler cuz it introduces the characters n stuff

지원

Brother Search his Patrion on July 22, 2023, he watched until episode 10.

Cyrill Attakpah

finally someone who doesnt watch the dub

Dallas Winston

Fmab and YuYu hakusho have Godly Dubs. But for every other show I’ve seen it’s Sub>Dub. Or they are interchangeable like death note, code geass, and dragon ball

iHoldShiftW

ik this is random to ask but i havent really kept up with nick due to work but whats going on with his reactions to 86? was that ever addressed?

Laura Alonso

He should have done the English

지원

Sub or dub are both great. Do whatever you want. The story is perfect anyway, so it doesn't bother you.

Draco Blitz

No need to burn out, take it at your own pace. FMAB is one of the greatest shows of all time, enjoy it.

Arian Barzinpour

He’s going to do it after something ends. I don’t remember the anime he said tho.

Anonymous

Love to see this is back!

Haorii

Love to see this show back. Now I can rewatch the show with you :) btw Do you know Edwards VA is Hange from AoT?

Ali .S

Where is Naruto you foolish dog

H

Stfu

Capt.J0HN

fun fact: edward elrics JP va is the same as kid obitos VA

Capt.J0HN

Also this is one of the rare instances where id say its completly fine to do dub instead of sub in here... choice is yours jp is still good but compared to other SUB vs DUB, EN is actually VERY good i hope that if it still stays on sub nicholas does these, "anime in other languages" again and sees how great EN dub is

Philipkh123

Man its great to see it back! Take it at ur own pace. Ur health is worth more than any anime reaction. If you need breaks or anything take it. We support you all the way! Just enjoy the anime to their fullest. Watch what you wanna enjoy. Don’t force stuff. Your amazing! CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT EPS

SKAOG

7:12 Well, that IS Leorio's VA, sadly the VA Keiji Fujiwara passed away a few years back

Wendy

thank god you’re watching subbed

Koloss

I am so glad he is actually rewatching it from the beginning

BigMacGD

It's refreshing to see nick react to an anime that is quality again instead of mainstream brainrot, enjoy

Yorgo23

Watch dubbed

Zain Bali

Wait what? I must be blind there's no way I read this..

Zain Bali

Yes, finally an anime that's different from the usual stuff like reincarnation fantasy or whatever. I hope you react to such anime like this one, Monster etc. That'll be a good change of pace.

Anemone

Glad to see you picking up this series, FMA is great. And dropping it before might be actually a blessing in a disguise, I have a feeling you might now appreaciate it more actually. ^_^ I'm surprised though by all the comments asking for dub, because I'be been waiting for some reactor to react to this anime in sub.... so it's a nice change. I don't hate dub, I just don't understand the hype for it. Dub jusn't hit the same and original japanese voice actors are amazing. But I guess it's also partially because english is not my first language.

Alexandra

please stop it. Because of people like you, he will hate Naruto. Pretty sure he appreciates Naruto. Don't make him hate it by acting impatient.

Vinny Deluca

Nope your eyes dont deceive you, I'm generally a Sub puritan but the dub for this show is unironically one of the single best dubs out there.

Vinny Deluca

Give dub a try, I'm usually a sub puritan cause I don't want things to get lost in translation and what the intended experience, but this show is one of the very few exceptions, the Dub is incredible and probs one of the best of all time.

Ancientswords

Loved this. Hope you keep watching subbed, this is awesome. And take it easy! 2 was perfect as well imo, Don't need more that that tbh; like with frieren, I kinda like it when you take it slower because you can enjoy it more haha

Alexandra

I am happy you picked it up again : I hope you will enjoy it. I really love this anime, It's really wholesome because in my opinion it has it all.

Elturan Maksatbek uulu

Typical Naruto fan, just accept the fact that it might be not as good as you thinks

GOAT Watcherz ForLif3

What do you speak Japanese? If not then stfu, over here bitchin when you don’t even know what’s actually being said

Super Ryo Reacts

Is he not watching Japanese anime? He looks like he is, so you can kiss my ass.

Julia

I’m so excited for this reaction I adore this story so much 😭 of course take your time with it and pace it how you feel is best but dang so so so happy you’re doing this FUCKING HYPE 🔥 also why tf is everyone asking for dub stop everyone does dub reaction I miss hearing this in the original sub ..

Ali .S

don’t bark loudly little dog

rtkns

SAO :(

Animeter

You're just mad at yourself for not being able to read fast enough while paying attention to what's going on.

Animeter

After Re:Zero

Animeter

@Elturan Maksatbek uulu He said it's in a league of its own, up there with One Piece and AoT. But I also don't like these impatient people.

Animeter

@Ali .S Please stop, you guys are the reason why he almost dropped the show. All the other people who where complaining are banned now.

gynozz

I watched FMAB a year ago, but it didn't resonate with me and I found it really boring at times, so I'll give it another chance

A

Let's goooo! Fmab rewatch!

onikezis

Don't want to sound like "one of those", but would be great that after this, you would finish Mob Psycho season 3, since you are almost done with the story

Chichi Jiyuda

The Dub is great but I doubt Nick will watch it this way. He seems to respect Dubs but Sub is his preference (nothing wrong with that). The best Dub video I could recommend to him would be the FMAB BLOOPERS! But this would be when he's Finished the show. (No Dub videos online right now without spoilers, I checked)

Einoras Butkus

Can I be that annoying guy and ask anyone here that keeps up with his streams about when he plans on reacting to 86 s2? He mentioned it a few times after he finished it but then it’s just not happened

Zenii

bros explaining the prewatching only bc we know about it, classic NicholasPrewatchTV LMAO

Forerunner

I don't want to start a sub vs dub war, but FMA: Brotherhood is best watched in dub. My opinion of course, you're welcomed to disagree.

Hardens Burner

This shows in my top 3 with One piece and HxH. So good and different, it kinda has its own way of expressing itself which is a unique trait that the rest of the goat animes have

Fizz

Respectfully gotta disagree

Fizz

Making the normal Naruto fans look bad with this brain dead comment 😔

Catalystic

Prob one of the best dubs but subs still go harder for sure

Dools

While you’re probably not gonna switch to dub for this but the dub is honestly really good and I feel like it’s easy to get lost watching sub. But I respect your decision either way

25redshark

Great reaction! Also, when you get to ep. 4, would you be up for skipiing through FMA the 2003 version to compare it to the FMAB version? Definately worth checking out

Isaac

I like the dub, but it's typically best to consume the media in the source language.

Tyler Sama

the original is one of my favs i guess ill finally watch this version

Lazy Lenni

01:08 Hollow Knight reference?!

Aditra f zuhdi

nice you choose sub than dub..thank you

GOAT Watcherz ForLif3

I’ve watched it both ways multiple times it’s just retarded to pretend to be some holier then thou idiot who can’t even truly understand what’s being said subtitles never translate 100% correctly if you wanna preach only sub then maybe back it up by learning Japanese and for Fmab English dub is objectively better simply put in terms of voice acting.

Light Yagami

One of the few anime I can safely recommend in sub or dub. Roy, Edward and the Homunculi are (IMO) better in dub, while Al and the military in general are better sub. Winry and Pinako and about equal, and so are the chimeras. Scar is better in sub, but Füher King Bradley is better dubbed, and so is father. Truth is better in sub.

Vicente Ibáñez

ooohhh i was waiting an excuse to watch this masterpiece again, thank you niiiick please watch it till the end this time hehe

Mels

Damn, it feels great to see FMA again from the beggining, thanks Nick! (bring JOJO back too pls-)

Super Ryo Reacts

Saying its one of the best dubs is fine, but its also like saying that I give the best kick to the shins than this other guy gives kicks to the shins. Its still kicking you in the shin, but the way I do it is better? Either way, everybody can prefer what they like, you like it the way you like it, I like it the way I like it. Nick likes it in Japanese. So let him continue to watch it in what he prefers.

Super Ryo Reacts

I don't think you know what that word means. It cant be "objectively" better, because that implies that something is better regardless of opinion or outside influence. Something about how well characters are acted can ONLY be evaluated by people and by their opinions. So it cannot be objective. You can say its subjectively better, thats the word you're looking for. But brother, since it is subjective and it is a matter of opinion, its your opinion that the dub is better, its my opinion that the Japanese is better (and yes I do speak a little Japanese, not a lot but after 35 years of watching anime, I picked up quite a bit). And Nick, this is HIS channel, and its his opinion and preference to watch it in Japanese as well. Its not up to you or I to control how he watches something. All we can do is plead our cases to him if we desire him to watch it one way or another, and thats simply what I have done. Respectfully, continue to kiss my ass.

SKAOG

Yeah, JoJo should be next after this (and not SAO)

Mels

Yess

Rythm_

Wanted to watch this series for a long time but didn't get a chance. So now I am here to follow the journey with you. Really excited ❤️

II Kenshi II

I hoped SAO would've been posted instead of this, but i hope you don't leave it behind

Carsten E

I just finished FMAB today! Definitely now in my top 5! Love the story and characters!

UnbreakableFire

We know your a dub hater but fmab is peak dub

Khidir Suhaimi

LOL I dropped one piece cause its so long so i understand ur burnout damn..

Khidir Suhaimi

LOL now we can finally say "prewatched" XD

Roro

i agree as well dude, as a sub watcher only i will give props to the animes that have a better dub than the sub. which is fmab and yu yu hakusho.

VoltraFr

fma is one of the anime where the dub honestly is better

Galaktik

oh yeah my bad i was going off his yt. but it doesnt seem like he remembers episode 10 so im still looking forward to it

tudos4

Dubs arent translating 100% either so whats with that shit-ass reasoning? Like, both needs to be localized among other things, or do you think VA's translating it in their head simultaneously while watching the show? No, they get a translated script.

VoltraFr

i've watched the show in sub and dub multiple times over the years and i just think its more natural for the show

Fed Guy

This is one of the rare occasions where the dub is not just tolerable, but actually really good and the cultural inflections that usually come with watching in sub are not lost. tldr; dub is actually pretty based

VoltraFr

real, i find shows like fmab, death note and code geass to be good or even better than the sub tbh, just preference tho, noramlly watch sub

Raz

You are going to hate one specific man for a very specific reason. Everyone thats seen FMAB knows who i am referring to, and everyone collectively agrees.

꧁Coltonius Maximus꧂

Funny how people so often speak opinions without acknowledging that its just their own opinion, even sometimes going so far as to state their opinions as if it were objective fact

Tarkan

Damn i also Watched this Show a few years ago and dropped it. But I so certain that something else happened. I’m pretty sure that the thing with the mother happened in the first episode and it was wayyyyy scarier. (That’s why I dropped it at that time lol) So guys maybe you can help me. Are there different versions of this series or did I just remember wrong

Daniel iacomi

There are 2 fullmetal alchemist anime. I think you watched the first one. This is Fullmetal alchemist- Brotherhood, the newer and better version (better ending). Both anime were fine in my opinion.

Daniel iacomi

He saw that. I think he was laughing last time at the entire situation. Bro missed the point of the entire episode because he said it looked funny- the chimera.

Ehre Voll

💪🏼💪🏼

Nako

There is not even single one (popular) anime when dub is better, japanese voice actors are just on whole other level

Mrdevdev330

Dub is better for this show.

spatialpine

never seen this show in sub cause the dub was so good

Tony Walker

Me too first time sub watcher

Celphan

I forgot how confusing this show may seem at the beginning, but oooh boy, it does pay off... The reward it gives you for paying attention later on is one of the best feelings

Vailing Bow

Dub Zoro voices Alex Luis Armstrong, right?

Vailing Bow

He literally says in the episode all he remembers is Shou

Mikasa Ackerman

I love Fullmetal Alchemist!! Nick please react to the original FMA series!!😊😊😊❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

BZD

Man. Why the sub? This is the one time the dub is better
