He skipped is saying he watched the first minute or two of it said it looked like filler then skipped it. He did ask chat to remind him to go back and watch it after he fully finished shippuden.

Kishimoto definitely over does it with the flashbacks - but for these couple I think it’s necessary. They show three things: 1. Obito’s life and inspiration which drives him forward (rin) 2. Black Zetsu says he is a failure and the flashbacks show us Obito seeing everything that he did as “Madara” showing his character growth that he now thinks all those actions were his mistakes. 3. The obvious moment with Naruto showing when Obito started recovering who he was.

This episode showed that binging anime is not as goodas seeing it weekly. The connection, the feelings. The flashbacks of stuff shown YEARS AGO. Its not 2 months for us. Its showing something of your past while you was 5 years younger. You dont have those connections and tha5s why the flashback doesnt aim to you

I showed shippuden to my buddy who wanted to watch all the filler. At this point he was screaming "JUST KILL THE F*CKING DUDE!!" He was so pissed it took a whole 2 episodes to kill Obito, it ruined the whole fight for him.

I can say the same for all the arcs (especially everything that started with the "Pain Arc" in Shippuden), but once again, NARUTO is a masterpiece. I've rewatched it many times, and each time it touches me more deeply.

After the whole series, when I watched Boruto the movie I actually got choked up at a very specific part. That voice acting and the animation was off the charts in that movie. Although, I suggest that you give some of the fillers a shot. There's quite a bit of filler that gives amazing depth to both the world building a character building. Yes, to you, even Shino shows his strong side. Although, Shino is actually OP as fuck. Just imagine if he had control over mosquitos... That basically his bug. You don't hear them, you don't feel them until it's too late. Kishimoto nerfed him so fucking hard because he was written to be WAY too OP. Anyway, give some the filler a chance between Naruto and Boruto. I know you have your schedule full with epic anime but there are episodes that are canon that seem like filler as well like Shikamaru shinden, Sasuke shinden, Guy shinden. There is quite a bit of world building fillers in Naruto and Shippuden that I suggest you watch Holy fuckin drunk bible...
