i dont consider this a musical. Musicals are when the whole cast is breaking into song the whole time. There was just a lot of music and it was all one character so I dont think that's the same

Sure we can get into the semantics of what a musical is, but at the end of the day, a large percentage of the movie was just music. And frankly I am being nice, I have lots of other problems with this movie and the music is just one of them.

It was sort of the lead up to film red. It showed two episodes of luffy and uta meeting and their time together. Then at the end just liked it shown in the movie the whole thing happened with tot musica and shanks and crew left her and came back to windmill village and told luffy that she was pursuing her dreams.

Honestly speaking I didn't feel connected at all during the whole movie because Nick had watched those on his own and was constantly referencing them meanwhile us watcher have no clue what he is talking about because he did not record them.

You seriously don't need to watch those to know whats happening. As he mentions they go over everything brought up in those episodes in the movie flashbacks so he didn't even need to watch them. Those episodes are more promotional content for when the movie came out more than any meaningful lore.

Good for you Bro! Still it's too much like a musical movie for my taste. Film Z has better story and better Antagonize than Film Red imo, But Film Red still a lot better than Film Gold.

Ya Z and stampede are the best, the reasons Red ranks lower imo is cuz shanks is barely in it, and the ending didn't go as crazy as I was expecting. That being said I'm sure I'll like it more on the rewatch. (still won't be better than other two).

seeing the first showing in the cinema was kinda funny because everyone, including me, got annoyed of the singing lmao because it was advertised as a shanks centric movie but turned out to be a musical instead, so expectations and reality didn't match after the 5th song everyone was like "oh brother... please don't" , and after an hour in "where tf is shanks" even when she supposedly was about to die and starting singing again at the end people where so pissed that they started laughing lmao yeah it was bad ados singing is godlike but not what people wanted to see at the time from rankings I would say 1. Z (best lore to action ratio) 2. stampede (pure action) 3. movie 6 (iykyk) 4. red (because of the last 20 minutes) 5. maybe gold

What a bum. That's your own ignorance. The movie is 100% advertise with Ado and Uta's character in mind first and foremost and shanks as secondary focus. Ado was HUGE even before One Piece - probably the biggest singer in Japan. And Uta's character who Ado voiced had a special episode in anime itself and is literally the main character of this movie.
