if you want to know why the anime is hated... out of the 293 episodes, only 86 episodes contain manga canon material (manga canon episodes + mixed canon/ filler episodes according to anime filler list). the show itself is actually really good, but the fact that you would mainly watch filler for possibly 5 months straight ruined it.

Bro, boruto manga canon only is actually really good, stick with a strict, manga canon only list to follow, ignore the cringe haters and try to enjoy because its really got some great moments. (new side characters in boruto are actually useless-to-nothing in the actual manga canon, so the filler is so bad). EDIT: just watched the full video, you seem to know this lol. Glad you enjoyed the 1st ep. good stuff.

Watch at least episodes 1-24. You can go till 31 I like the upcoming arc but it's not important; First arc (till episode 17) is not labeled as manga canon but it's really important for the development of some characters that will get to shine in the manga; it's their origin story. Between episodes 3 and 11 it's fun, a bit boring, but from 12 it's really good till at least 24 and you need them to understand episodes 12 to 17 (the final part of the first arc which is extremely good and quite important)

The Sarada arc (Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring) and the Mitsuki arc (Mitsuki Gaiden: The Path Illuminated by the Full Moon) are one-shot manga stories created by Kishimoto. Also, it was Kishimoto’s original idea to begin the Boruto series with a time skip, featuring a battle between Boruto and Kawaki. Rest of the story is written and illustrated by Ikemoto with Kishimoto on supervising front.

Fun fact: Boruto's pink colour palette? 50% Orange (Naruto) + 50% Purple (Hinata.. and, well Sasuke his sensei)  = 100% Cerise Pink. Funny how the colors tell their own story.

PLEASE DONT SKIP ANIME CANON EPISODES. Boruto anime is yhe final version of boruto manga uts a different format than shat animes usually do, because boruto manga is monthly. If you use that shitty guide above you will miss everything. There are mamy great arcs and stories there. ALSO don’t watch the movie it’s absolute dogshit compared to anime arc. The whole reason that arc is so elotionsl is because youve got to know dynamics of all the characters. If you skip al anime canon episodes you’ll regret it.

Back when boruto came out i watched every eps. weekly until eps. 65. Its bad its really fucking bad. Exept for that one fight ofcourse. So now i find out there are Anime Canon and Manga canon. Will he only watch manga canon? 19-23, 39, 53-58, 61-66, 106-111, 148-151, 181-189, 193-208, 212-220, 282-293( manga canon ) Then maybe i consider watching with him.

Nic, I've watched Boruto multiple times and always tell people to watch it this way, which you may not, but it's up to you. Watch episodes 1-15, 18-24, 35-39, 51-66, 106-111, 120-137, 141-451, 157-220, 221-230, 274-293

Boruto has a good start. Love the first 60ish episodes. It has some bad episodes but overall it is great. Especially the story after the anime in the Manga gets really intense. If you are looking for a new show I think you would enjoy Eminence in Shadow a lot. Great visuals, great music and hilarious story with great VAs.

Hey! Borutard here :) I've been a long time viewer and absolutely love all the reactions and the journey of how far we've come. Personally, i feel Boruto is way too over-hated.. yes, the anime has a lot of "Filler" episodes, but these are just Anime Cannon and still build to the story, just not shown within the manga. Those episodes are completely fine to skip past though, but quite a few of those anime cannon arcs are actually really good, especially the Urashiki one. Again, these are completely optional to watch. they are just an added experience to viewers if they wish to watch more. And the reason why we had this "Filler" ratio in the anime is because the manga is a monthly release, whereas the anime is on a weekly schedule. However, there is news that with Boruto: Two Blue Vortex (basically the Shippuden of Boruto.) they will adapt the series as a Seasonal release, and we will have equal quality as to Bleach TYBW.
