I asked YouTube, Patreon, AND Twitter about Boruto

Asked yall if I should watch anime canon or skip to episode 18. Over 80% on each platform voted to skip the episodes. But I especially listen to Patreon because yall are paying me and I want to listen to you.

I upload my Boruto reaction to episode 18 and 19 and over 500 comments of pissed at me.. for literally listening to my audience lol. Even on the Patreon.

I was told that there’s a few cool moments in the anime canon but it’s not totally worth it and it’s a waste of time. So I listened.

So I have no idea what I’m doing with the Boruto series right now. If I’m keeping it on Patreon or just dropping it entirely, if it’s just gonna cause childishness.

Nick I will say there are a couple really good anime cannon arcs, that you could check out but for the most part just watch the manga cannon episodes. You will get the series done so much faster.

The anime canon is just peak of boringness. Hell they're not even fighting there and the story is absolutely unimportant. Fr there is literally no reason to watch this. 18 episodes can be up to 10 weeks depending on your schedule.

Nick u has a best anime intuition. Just skip anime canon and watch manga canon. U will understand that, because its not hard to predict some situation or relationship. The anime canon episodes its just about side characters, who’s never will have bigger impact in manga canon, so its just like classic filler.

I can't speak for anyone else but just drop it lol. Focus on something else and maybe once Boruto is further then you can start catching up. (I haven't watched it haha)

I'm not a Boruto fan really, even though I watched the first 100 episodes or however much of it. While the anime canon isn't really needed for the story, it does set up the characters more and has some interesting moments, which is always nice for me. But if you don't really care about small stuff you could still skip it without missing out on the story. Personally, I think it makes sense to watch the episodes. If the people that wanted you to skip it are annoyed, they can at least just skip the reactions to it and come back once you make it to the manga canon episodes. And while the majority is in favor of skipping it, still about a third of the watchers want to see the anime canon, which means hundreds if not thousands of people missing out on content they want you to watch. Up to you to choose, but at least this way it would be more so grumbling that you aren't doing only canon vs people pissed they'll never see the reaction to it at all (vs manga canon people just having to wait a few more days at a time).

At the end of the day, people are gonna be mad anyway because its Boruto. I personally think you should stick with the manga canon and keep an ear to the ground on popular anime canon episodes that are decent. But I'm watching it for the first time with you, as long as you have fun, I'm here for it. Hope you're doing okay!

With the thousand of people between your socials it makes sense to see this kind of discourse around this tbh there can only be so many people that have followed for a specific reasons if you give them an option between one thing or their thing that odd mans always out, not sure if there is a fair way to vote on this kind of thing but id bet to argue alot more people that have seen and enjoy the anime are willing to see or wait for episodes even if they may be a bit slower then a full on skip of the intro. Its about the journey and skipping the whole start kinda just numbs it from the jump a win win if youre someone thats wants you to hate it and move on to their favorite anime instead.

I honestly think you should just watch the anime canon, I know that it’s losing the poll but most of the people saying not to watch it are just haters and hoping for you to finish it quickly because they don’t want you to react to it at all in the first place. If I see anyone plans on watching Boruto, I always tell them to watch the anime canon for a few main reasons. First, it builds out the setting much better and helps you form a deeper understanding and connection to the characters. Second, this is still canon and part of Kishimoto’s story but he just didn’t have enough space for it in the manga, he wants to keep the manga super concise. If it was not important it would not have been canon. All in all it’s still your choice but I just think you won’t enjoy the story as much and you’ll be less invested in the characters when they appear or you just won’t know who they are!

People are only voting manga canon because they know what happens and only care to see you react to the big stuff. However said stuff won’t hit same without context provided by anime canon eps. “Mostly a waste of time” sure, but now you don’t get to connect with characters. If you really only want manga canon then read the damn manga. We all know boruto anime isn’t best thing ever but if your gonna watch it, WATCH IT.

Honestly Nick, I feel for you. For having to be in this position, decide and take the heat for it either way 🤷🏽‍♀️. Truth is boruto isn’t a great anime. It pales in comparison to its predecessor and that’s why us who don’t really like it have that opinion. I do however feel like you would not like the actual anime, it feels too childish and I feel like you don’t really like that stuff. But who knows, maybe you would 🤷🏽‍♀️ majority of ppl who watched it were disappointed with it because of how great Naruto was. I’m assuming those who did like it, they just saw it as a completely separate anime from the original story (as a stand alone anime). I don’t like it bc I love Naruto and they nerfed him hard in this new show. Period. All that to say, I’ll watch what you watch. But I only want you to react to episode 65 of Boruto once again!! 🔥 That’s it.

I think you shouldn’t skip it bro. Especially the earlier episodes of anime canon as it introduces new characters and characters that are kids of the original Naruto. The nostalgia from watching these first few episodes will be really fun

I subscribed to your channel because of Naruto, so I hope you won’t quit and will continue watching Boruto as well. (Of course I watch other series too, but Naruto is my favorite) Even though some episodes aren’t great, there are others that are worth watching and may make you to connect with the characters. Even though our votes matter, I still support you reacting based on what you truly want. As a fan of this series, I just hope you enjoy watching the anime. P.S. If you also watch the Naruto movies, I’d be really happy.

Please if you are gonna read this, read this from both sides, y’all (Haters & Fans). And NO spoilers below! Lots of people are obsessed with Boruto because they read the Boruto: TwoBlueVortex manga which is the continuation of the series. And they see people shitting too much on Boruto just based on Anime Part 1 and not giving it an another chance, so some of ‘em became toxic. I get both side but I mean, give Kishimoto another chance, he’s the one who wrote Naruto which is most of y’all favorite and if not you enjoyed it and grew up watching it. He is really cooking with the Part 2. Not telling y’all to read… but if you read it, you will understand that TwoBlueVortex manga is one of the best in current series on par with Black Clover MANGA which is one of the highest rated MANGA. Hating on Part 1 anime is understandable. But shouldn’t hate on the whole series without knowing the full context. Anime Part 1 was mostly SHIT but it still has great moments in it and is a built up to Part 2. Think of Part 1 as a SIMILAR anime to OG Naruto but instead of putting all the fillers after all the canon arcs like Naruto, they put fillers and unimportant parts in between main canon arcs. Just hoping that they don’t F up another time with the anime part 2. Just telling y’all it is not a waste to watch and enjoy the current anime part 1 with NICK rn! Ignore the Boruto obsessed people and haters if they are still fighting over the anime. P.S. I may be a little bias since I read the Part 2 manga but I’m just saying this because I just want both haters and Boruto fans to understand each others. ✌️✌️✌️

watch the timetravel arc and the anime canon that starts around 150 which i think better sets up the up and coming manga canon that follows. there are some good anime canon bits or segments but i found most of the main arcs just useless filler and i did drop the show for about a year until it picked up again

The solution would be watch the anime canon ppl wanna see lol. There's an anime arc (157-175) that I think everyone would want you to react to. A lot of ppl would prolly also wanna see time travel arc (128-136). I would love to see 13-15 cause it's important for a later manga character. 36-37 are cool too.
