Bro Nick pays 0 attention. Haha. The reason Shin was thinking about Lena is because he thinks she is dead because the Legion attacked the Republic. And hin saying that he wished that at least she shouldn't leave him behind and should die after him means that he is sad about her "death". I hope that clears it a bit. I ain't blaming nick for not understanding. He watches so much shit at the same time, while he made a break from 86, came back and still only watches 1 ep a week.. while the story is also hard to comprehend of this and memorize stuff, for me too.

well i think he deserves part of the blame here cause he's trying to make the reaction more entertaining by making jokes and comments all the time, but in reality he's making it more frustrating cause it feels like he's not fully paying attention thus he's missing some important stuff like he's missed an important end credit scene this episode that would clear up at least one of his questions. When he started part 2 he said he was gonna reel in his reactions a bit to fully soak in the story, but he's been doing the opposite of that.

I get what your saying. I don't really blame him for missing stuff as long as he reads the comments and understands later, he's only human. I will say though missing the end credits is 100% on him because Idk why he isn't checking them even tho there have been other end credit scenes in this show.

if i recall from the books, he didn't change the contents. He just "encouraged" Nina to write those letters to her brother's "killer". Basically he lied and put the blame on Shin.

I believe he genuinely loves the anime, but i think the problem is that he's trying to make these reacts as entertaining as possible, thus he's overreacting which has ultimately caused him to miss some important stuff. He's a entertainer so i get it, but for a series like 86, those kind of over reactions can hurt the experience for him and us. But the one inexcusable fuck up he keeps making is he consistently misses the end credit scenes, he should know by now to always check to see if there is one, given how many there are in this series. I just hope he takes all the criticism positively and goes back to how he planned to react to the series at the start of part 2.

Nick, please start paying more attention to the story, and ESPECIALLY don't stop reacting to the episode until it leads into the next one, because they are always important and have meaning in them. I enjoy 86 very much, and it's a top 3 anime for me. You will also be able to enjoy it to the fullest once you pay attention and don't skip anything, because it will make your viewing even more enjoyable.

Yeah i agree, the overreacting is getting to be a little too much now, and then then he keeps missing the end credits and says he'll check next time just to do the same thing over, i like his reactions but he needs to dial it down, not everything needs an overreaction it can kinda be cringe sometimes lmao
