Season 2 was weaker in some ways but season 3 is absolute joy to watch especially the last episodes

I understand not enjoying some plot lines. They tend to delve a bit deeper in some things than they did in the comic to flesh out character development more, so things feel a lot more stretched out in the show. William and Rick’s storyline in this episode needed to exist for Donald’s character arc, so even if you don’t love their part of the story, it still makes sense why it’s there. Amber and Mark dragging their relationship out even when the audience knows that it’s never gonna work out is literally to make the end hit that much harder. We know even if Anissa hadn’t shown up, they were on their last legs, but they had so much of that youthful, hopeful energy and it lets you see what Marks character actually is before the world forces him to become something else. He made the choice to cut back on superhero-ing and commit to Amber and college, but it was never going to work. It adds to the tragedy. It’s hard to go more into the themes without referring to things Nick hasn’t seen yet, but to those who have read the comics and know the arc that we’re getting to and the title card cracks are building to, it makes sense that they’re putting the blocks in place to make future events more believable imo. Also, as entertaining as Anissa is as a she’ll never be a character I can love to hate. I despise her even though I know she’s complicated. Iykyk
