I really appreciate that you immediately like kirito. Most people during his "beater" moment thought it was too edgy and cringe. But right before that scene, he is sweating and then gulps. He was putting on act of being an asshole to distract the people from accusing others to be beta testers. This makes me respect kirito as a character a lot because it shows he cares about how his actions can have consequences on the people around him even though it's mostly not even his fault. And yea, kirito and asuna's dynamic is some of the best ive seen in shonen anime (in my humble opinion). Other than that there isn't much else to say for now. Peak fight with multiple amazing ost's, SAO does these things in the best way.

Season 1 is good especially the first half though it gets a little weird in the last half at times, season 2 is pretty mid especially the last half though I personally was kind of a fan of the first half but just wait till season 3 Alicization the animation, ost and sound effects go so hard especially in part 2 and the story gets good again

I ejoyed SAO when I was in high school. But honestly, Solo Leveling hit that part that I felt was kind of missing in SAO, which is the actual leveling up / progression part. It's still the modern anime that popularizes the isekai genre we know now. I personally gave SAO season 1 like a 7/10 back then, but you can't deny the huge influence it has in the industry

Both pronunciations of Kirito work, neither is really correct anyway. Japanese doesn’t stress syllables, so saying ”KI-ri-to” or ”ki-RI-to” are both fine.

One of absolute favorite anime it was the first non mainstream (at the time) that I picked up and absolutely loved because it was a unique concept (at the time) of if you die in game you die in real life so it added more to the fight scenes in the arc. Just have to say buckle up your in for a ride.

LETS FUCKING GO, BEEN A LONG TIME COMING. I just wanna get this out of the way, SAO was first aired back in 2012, there was nothing like it. Isekai existed but not anything close to what we know them as today. It quite literally pioneered anime in this genre to what it is today. Now, I love this show, it's my all time favorite, it's what introduced me to anime, I know it like the back of my hand, the good and the bad. Do you wanna know the bad? It's literally just one character in the latter part of season one that makes things weird with Kirito, that's it. Just because of that people say drop it after episode 14. Fucking ridicoulous, if you watch SAO with an open mind, and actually fucking watch it, everything in and after season 1 is peak. Anyway, sorry for the essay, I just care for SAO a lot and I don't want some retarded comments to ruin the experience for others. If you don't like it because of things other than what happens in season 1, then I accept it and that's your opinion.

bs, phantom bullet and war of underworld is arguable better than aincrad arc. Mother Rosario also very good and emotional. From pacing and plot progression perspective i would argue than aincrad maybe even weakest one(but it has outstanding setup and world building).

Aincrad arc is good, but falls a bit flat at the end. Mother's Rosario arc is probably my favourite, simply because it doesn't really involve Kirito at all. Alfheim and Gun Gale, the story just seems to drag. I think I dropped SAO during the arc after MR.
