Some have said already but the show is legit goated. Fills in gaps, expands on characters a TON, has its own story that's actually good and canon, (has numerous ties to this movie, and the next)

If you want to see more of Stoic, and the other characters I highly suggest watching "Race to the Edge". It explores much more of each character. In my opinion the movies gave the side characters poor representation anyway. Plus it has a great villian and story

I think you should see the live action. It’s by the same director, and Stoik is played by the same voice actor. It’s pretty much 1 to 1 but with cool cgi and action. Still the same heart-felt story.

big facts, RTTE is so good. its so sad that the series doesn't get anywhere the attention the movies do, when the series is arguably better lmao. The side characters are objectively better in the series lol, cant even compare them. Even the riders/defenders of berk was so good. Same type of thing as naruto and shippuden

I also think he will love it, one fear I have is that he maybe will not be so fond of children main characters, cuz I often see nich being annoyed by them, though they kinda okay and understandable. Other than that he will certainly love every part of this anime

Pls watch dragons race to the edge. It takes place before the second movie and it adds sooooo much more context to all that happened. It also allows you to learn these characters better. I also believe that it is better than all 3 of the movies combined.😊

For me, all the movies are a straight 10/10. I love that they were brave enough to kill a character in a kids movie. HTTYD are some of the best kids movies out there with clues and hints for adults to catch upon. The story isnt silly or childish all the time, its good balanced for familys. Cant wait for your reaction of movie 3 <3

If you ever get the chance, watch the series that came out between these movies. „Riders of Berk“, „Defenders of Berk“ and „Race to the Edge“ play between movies 1 and 2 and really enhance the world, lore and characters. And it has a few Easter eggs for the second movie.

honestly i dont even know if i can say the 3rd movie is better, i think its a PHENOMENAL movie and likely the best follow up they could have made, but the 2nd one is just so incredible that its hard to say the 3rd is better or on par, even if its close. still absolutely love the third one though
