If you finish gurren lagann you should check out FLCL(Fooly Cooly). It has absolutely AMAZING music, ridiculous humor, unique and ridiculous animation, stupidly fast pacing, and a wholesome story. But you should NOT check out any of its sequels, only the original.

Apothecary diaries is nothing like Frieren While frieren focuses on emotions and human relations and dabbles a bit in action and philosophy, Apothecary diaries is almost entirely a mystery/detective show with a bit of romance sprinkled in and basically zero action.

You feel this because they both are stories about one character living and learning on a daily basis, but that's about it (and both got awesome protagonists). They are totally different in which type of story / message they want to tell and which sentiments they want to portray with it. Frieren is an adventure full of drama, while TAD is more of a somewhat historical tale focused specially on crime solving, more in line with detective shows. Also much more episodic than Frieren is.

I understand this, but you can be more objective about this. For example: not everybody will like "Neon Genesis Evangelion", but this show is objectively speaking a 10/10 show. And you can check for stuff like these based on the score a particular show normally gets. The most used for this is MAL, in which both "Gurren Lagann" and "Neon Genesis Evangelion" are pointed out as 10-star shows for most people. For example again: SAO is most referred as a 7/10 show, which you may or may not agree, as this very personal and not everybody thinks the same, but objectively speaking it's a worse show. Which again, it's fine, it can also be a good show for reacting and have its merits, but I think people should prioritize more the contenders for greatest anime shows ever created, as there are plenty waiting to be watched (and they are not even being mentioned). Luke from GOT is currently watching "Log Horizon". Like, why? Of course because people voted for it, for a super mid 25 episodes show that has 3 seasons. I know you can drop it, but understand that this is not my point.

I like Log Horizon, but it's very... mid, to say the least (no idea how this won the poll), and it drops on later seasons. A like a lot of shows, some "mid" shows are even in my most liked ones, but I wouldn't recommend them (at least not to everyone), specially for streamers, as shows take space and unfortunately you can't watch them all. Scores exist to help people find better shows, or at least guide you on what would be your best bet on which show to spend your little time on. And more often than not a higher score will lead to more memorable and overall good shows (not always though). With that said, I'm only reflecting here, there's no problem with people that don't care about those things and I know there's nothing to be done about it too. And it's all good... but I still wish for people to get to know all these incredible shows, such as "Gurren Lagann", "Shin Sekai Yori", "Ano Hana", "Mushishi", etc, lots of great stuff out there, kinda overlooked hidden gems. TLDR I'm just blabbing here lol

I L O V E the "To Aru" series, specially the majutsu ones, but yeah, I wouldn't also be recommending it to everybody the same way I recommend "Arcane" season 1, for example. Perhaps it would be great if we had both, one "To Aru" and one "Arcane" at the same time, but it's not what always happen. Me too! When I started Gurren Lagann I also wasn't expecting it to... sincerely speaking, change my life's perspective on a bunch of things. I think this show is like remedy to some people, it heals you from these bad times in life, you know? It's a very special show to me, very artistic too, experimental (in the best way), true to itself. I'm blabbing again sorry lol (thanks for the blab though <3 always good)

Misaka Mikoto still one the legendary Anime waifus for sure lol And to this day I still find Toma's left hand power one of the craziest and most interesting powers in anime, one of the biggest reasons why the fights are so good in the whole series (not only his though, other esperas such as ACCELERATOR too!).
