Wait until the end of the first season. If you feel like you still don’t understand, you can drop it. Even to novel readers(me), it took the entirety of the first volume(Season 1 content) to understand what was happening. All of us were just as confused but that was intention of the author. Also, some of the things won’t be explained now but revealed and explained much later because it is a mystery show.

I thought the last two eps were easy to follow. Like some of the fight scenes may be confusing but the plots pretty simple. If you keep being confused and youre not enjoying it any more, you should drop it. I love this story, but no one should watch something they dont enjoy

the sequence 7 for the assassian pathway is "witch" thats the reason tris turned into a woman.. that is why all the higher rank in the demoness sect are women cuz the turn into women

Maybe you could watch some videos explaining the events of these episodes. There was also quite a bit of content China had that Crunchyroll just straight up never released like Chibi shorts at the end of each episode and a series of "Old Neil's mysticism classes" which explains the power system and general stuff about the world of LOTM in more detail. If you want to understand LOTM better these are worth watching in your own time or even reacting to them on stream.

Bro, you're supposed to read the information that pops up on the screen. You're missing a lot of critical information that would help you understand the story better. You often pause while watching shonens when it's not needed and you don't pause for this show when it's actually needed lol

i wanna clarify somethings for u .. dunn smith is a beyonder on sleepless pathway and he is seq 7 "nightmare" that means his ability as all about nightmares and just a note.. u notice in every ep the character eyes glows red? .. that means they used their seq ability .. and thats it in this ep dunn made all of them enter his nightmare inculding tris to fight her in the nightmare not in real world , for lionard (handsome boy) , he is in the same pathway as dunn but he is a higher sequence (weaker) which is seq 8 ''midnight poet'' whenever he uses it u notice when his eyes glows red .. his ability makes u enter some kind of a flower garden and his words are all poetry additional note : when u move from a sequnce to a lower one u still can use the ability from ur past sequence e.g dunn can use the midnight poet ability (shown in ep 3) note all of that is my analysis to the show.. i am an anime only not a novel reader

the show is supposed to be mysterious too, yyou are only supposed to understand what Klein gets, and since they have to jam all the content of 200 chapters from a book into 13 episodes it gets more confusing, but hopefully it gets better the more Klein understands and when the pacing gets better. love the reactions btw

Brah must be comfortable with not knowing everything. This is how detectives go through about solving mysteries. Im guessing Klein is trying to reach sequence 1 man, probably gonna have some GOD POWERS since the opening keeps mentioning it. There are so many details in one episode.

If he wasn’t captured by the show enough to wan’t to pause and absorb info slowly then he wasn’t captured. I fell in love but its only after rewatching and pausing to get every little piece to the puzzle that made me love the show. Cant expect every person especially a reaction channel to be exactly like this.

To be honest, it seems like you're understanding it more than you think! There is a bunch of stuff that's supposed to be unknown, so if it helps I'll give you a little recap of the important things. Klein's main goal is still to return to earth, but he has no idea how to do that now other than get stronger and learn how to use that weird fog power he has access to. Right now, his main goal is to improve and go from sequence 9 to 8. It's right to feel a bit lost when it comes to the overarching goal since Klein is equally lost! Every episode right now is essentially a standalone plot with things left open for later, like Trissy escaping in this episode or the scene with Mr. Z at the end of the last episode. To that end, it looks like you understood everything from this episode fine! The only thing I'd recommend is to pause and read, especially those paragraphs in the middle of the episodes. Not necessarily saying to analyze everything, but at least read what they provide. Season 1 is definitely a big set up arc, which is why it feels like they're throwing a lot at you. Glad to see you're willing to stick with it until the end of the season, since that's where a lot of people got hooked in the novel.

Just think of it like One Piece. Did you get all your questions answered by episode 5? No, because it’s a long running thing. There’s at least 5 seasons of LOTM confirmed, so I’d recommend you take note of things and if you don’t at least like the Season 1 ending, it’s probably not for you

a brief explanation on tris's transformation. he was a sequence 8 instigator, then drank the sequence 7 witch potion, and that potion turns any male that drinks it to a female, like a full biological female genetically. they can even get pregnant. thats why all the high ranking members of the demoness sect (sequence 7 and above) are female. because the potion force turn you into one. and that's why it's called the demoness sect, not the demon sect.

Considering the potions want you to think and act a certain way, and now they're even changing your body, it feels less like some higher being is giving your powers, and more like they're trying to turn you into something specific. So I'm wondering if maybe the Gods or whatever are at the end of each pathway are basically trying to turn you into a 'perfect vessel' for them to inhabit or something? They do say at the start you have god-like power if you reach the end so that'd make sense. Or maybe there can only be one person at the end of the path and for that person to be free of the position you have to like kill them and take their place. Though Evernight Goddess has multiple paths for her church, so maybe it's less taking the place of the god and more becoming like an archangel or apostle for that god or something? Not sure. I am curious about Klein and his Grey Fog though. Can he use that to make his own pathway to avoid that fate? Or is the Grey Fog part of the pathway he's on and he's just like extra fucked and even more trapped by his path than others. Also book readers don't tell me i'm right or wrong or whatever, I'm just having fun guessing so don't spoil me. It's more fun if I can look back later once I have answers and see if I was close or just completely wrong.

You should keep watching until end of season. It's normal not to understand everything from the get-go and/or retain all the crazy amount of info. Did you understand or remember everything in the beginning of Game of Thrones? Shit was packed with lore as well, but it got gradually better over time. I've gone past the age of enjoying shonens or other shows targeted towards a younger audience, therefore as a subscriber I'm pleased when you react to more mature shows!

I'm enjoying your reactions to the episodes but if you're not enjoying the show I would recommend dropping it. I've read both the first and second books and I LOVE the series. I don't think 13 episodes or 5 seasons are really enough to cover the entire first book and all the parts I loved. I feel like everyone saying in the comments to pause and read those paragraphs of text is only evidence that they are trying to cram too much into too little time. I don't think I've ever watched a TV show or anime before that would have paragraphs of text appear for 2 seconds at a time that you are required to pause and read to fully understand what's going on.

Since he values animation a lot, some of the fights in TBHX would have been so good for his taste. He should follow the 3 episode rule. If you are not hooked on TBHX by episode 3 then probably the show is not for you. But you have to give it a chance atleast

Rule doesnt really work with TBHX since it constantly jumps characters, by episode 4 I loved the show but with each character jump I find myself caring less and less about each one, with the queen finale fight it was incredibly beautifully animated but the characters meant nothing to me and it had no emotional impact with the villains motive being stupid. Think it will build into something great in season 2 but if he wasnt liking it off the bat it would only get worse for him

Yeah nich isn't really fit for this kind of show. He's constantly yapping to keep his audience entertained, which isn't necessarily bad in itself, but for something like LOTM, you need to pay attention or even pause to understand what's going on.

Well kids could be generally be applied to any age range. Realistically, 12 year olds could easily get into one piece because how simple and fun the premise is. LOTM on the other hand is a different type of beast. A 12 year old is not going to be interested in the detailed world building and it’s the mysteries that LOTM provides.

The story is very basic, pirates go on the sea and make friends and then fight the bad government and other bad pirates. It's not nearly as complicated or deep as the fans act like it is. The themes are government that is bad is bad and racism is bad.
