Comments

Double

Been waiting for this one since you started it

DawnOfStrawhat

One might say, the show can finally truly start. BELIEVE IN THE ME THAT BELIEVES IN YOU

Jdj Jdjd

Nick where is dandadan?

Bj Howe

Yeah that's one of those anime moments that just sticks with you

Dante_blayde

There is a reason that I always come back to gurren Lagann. And that's because sometimes remembering to believe in the me who believes me is hard and I kamina to belt me one in the face too.

Zachary Weaver

Now this is where the anime goes from generic, to being a pillar of anime culture to be remembered for a long time

ScrubtheFuzz

This is the turning point for the anime when it becomes one of the best of all time

nanda kore

We didn’t even reach a climax

K

“Later buddy” still hits hard till this day

Xel lal

This is where the fun begins

The Shiz

Below this post lmao

Joel

Sinbad_Deity

Glad to see the comments aren't turned off for this

ThatWasOdd

"Have faith in the Simon who believes in you" RIP to one of the GOAT's.

Cayn

So he likes when they kiss and die. Good to know. 😅

Mar

hey might just be my memory but i dont remember the video quality being so low back when i watched gurren lagann. If youre using crunchyroll maybe see if you can change the quality in the settings? I dont use it so sorry if im wrong

luciferuss

off topic but how can i get an access to discord server, i cannot connect via the link

DJays32

Gurren lagann has no peaks... it itself is peak

YohXoX

Fun fact - If I recall correctly, it was confirmed by creators that after getting Fd up Kamina was already dead(Gurren did not even read his vitals). He literally was doing his final epic stuff with sheer willpower. Also - YOKO - You Only Kiss Once

luciferuss

i love you, thank you sm

Raz S

waited for that reaction since episode 1

Ash

Its just like you said... the last episodes were all tits and giggles and this came out of nowhere. But did it really? For what the setting is, them goofing around and having very little to sacrifice may seem obsolete, but its where KEY relationships and foundations were built for the rest of the show. It shows that yes they're goofing around, but they're not completely out of the blues. You'll see how it pans out. Some say it gets better from HERE. Me personally; it had a great start to begin with. We love these reaction to "adult-ish" shows though its still a Shonen like Bleach, JJK and so on. Shonen is just a genre, stories TRANSCEND the medium and genre. Enjoy the rest of the series.

Reginald Martin

i honestly felt slight tears watching this again, ive seen this series several times, yet it still got me who doesnt cry at nearly anything lol

Condoriano

please dont expect for he's dad to show up cause the dad dead already

Logan H

Most impactfull death all time

Joshua Partridge

Third time watching and I still cry It’s the philosophy of the show that makes it peak and cures my depression Not the fan service or the action although those are bonuses

nickbick

I loved this ep the first time I watched it. But when I watch it in dub and after getting on gurren laggan tiktok, Kamina hits so much harder and the rest of the show. Rip the GOAT

kazu_art_park

KAMINA-KUN... Forever!! Unexpected twist...😢

Csgohio

No more takopi original sin?

Chino

RIP Goat

NikoCat11

You'll love this show dude, I feel it in my bones. Trust. It only go upwards from here, shit begins NOW.

LJ Kaiser

Now we can get to the good stuff :)

Lulu

the goat

En/ten

The way they mask the true tone of this show is so unique. It's always heavily layered with comedy, action and fan service but it's the blindsiding moments that show the real depth of this story. They're so good at lulling you into a specific box and then just hitting that box with a truck.

Momar

There's only room for one king of anime stories. It is between this and One Piece.

RawDuck

This episode is so good. Now you start real Gurren Lagann!

Jin Moris

Hell no, maybe one piece but not gurren

TheBigOhm

Kamina the goat was taken too early!! 😭

Chortle

rip of one the GOATS. Time for depression arc

Super Ryo Reacts

Nobody expected one of the best main characters in anime at the time to just go out like that, so early in the series. It was a huge shock for fans! RIP Kamina! T.T

Isaac

I thought it comes out on Saturdays?

Miroku

Waited 11 hours to watch this. Didn't want my wife seeing me get teary eye.

pancake boi

EVERYONE GO SPAM ON HIS TWITTER THAT HE MISSED EPISODE 53

dartcp

how he thought kamina was the MC when it's obviously buuta lol

Tyler Sama

yup after after i saw this episode i knew i was watching something something special

Popcorn

If you like when anime takes risks and is underrted, then I recomend you Charlotte, one of the most underrated anime I've seen.

Tymur Dykaniuk

Bro the goatest dub is RUSSIAN one, bro just listen how much emotion did everyone had in there. And this dub is unique due to the fact voice actor team, they re like once in a lifetime, they dont do it anymore

Matt Murphy

what is forehead boy talking about

柏均 林

no way I cried again ;(

Asher Ealey

After Takopi ends next week can we please get double Gurren Laggan uploads?🥺

Hélio Mothci

Welcome to peak, welcome to GURREN LAGANN! You're not ready for what's to come. Let's Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo"""""""

emp -

whenever you watch the next episode, remember to include the opening because they changed somethings in the opening after this episode.

ryejett

"Believe in the me that believes in you." Has gotten me through so many tough times yo, Kamina will forever be MVP to me because his impact in the lives of the people who met him is just so irreplaceable. I can't wait for you to see the rest of this anime, I'm so hyped to see it bro.

MGC

is Kamina a fraud?

Michaela

I considered this as my first anime because Kamina was my first anime crush and first time crying because of an anime character. I was going to my grandma's that day my mom was calling me from outside, I watched this. Really crushed my heart couldn't stop thinking about it the whole day like damn😂.

ArtKi

22m01s Ha ha, he thinks it's unconventional The Big Bro character dying early is the series is a common trope in mecha shows. It surprised Nick because he doesn't watch Mecha shows.
