Takopi's Original Sin - Episode 6 (UNCUT REACTION)

Comments

Cloudyy99

i thought the reaction for this episode might be an hour long

Sinbad_Deity

This is how things need to be resolved with troubled kids, Tapoki really saved them, none of them deserved death. Tapoki sacrificed himself for everyone's sins, he's literally Jesus.

Christo Badenhorst

I dont think this show could have a better ending with a better message, their problems are not solve. and its okey - but having just 1 person there and communcation kinda helped them both walk to adulthood. I agree with you. anime of the year contender for sure. and 100% it cemented a place in my top 10 list. dont know where yet. need to give it time. but It will be in there for sure

rizqiefajar

What a masterpiece. I've been really enjoying watching your reaction. I love how it ends as it feels like the best possible realistic ending. Marin still got her scar, but she has Shizuka as her support system. Takopi did it... They made up and became friends ❤️ Oh yeah, also Shizuka's VA (Ueda Reina) killed it. She voiced a similar character in My Happy Marriage too, she was amazing there too. Great VA

HeXo SK

Takopi sacrificed himself😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Harald Nassau

😭😭😭😭😭This Episode finally broke me. So tragic. heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. My Anime of the Year. I miss it. 10/10❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Joshua Vaughn

Azuma didn't kill himself. From what I gathered, Junya took the fall with the police to protect his brother. That's why he was fired and may not go to college. Also did you notice Marina still had the scar on her face at the end? The secondary lesson to this show is we can't always escape the bad things, but if you have someone to be there with you through it, it can make all the difference.

Okarun

Tapoki💀

Alexis Martinez

Tell me why I thought that exact thing before I clicked 🙏😭

The lyrics of the ED is amazing so I want you watch it・3・

Azariel 竜月

It broke me into tears , Takopi's ultimate sacrifice, and his spirit watching other putting not memory but feelings out so that they could talk & weirdly bound (Shizuka and Marina). or be themselves (Naoki). Just WOW, very powerfully

Azariel 竜月

Older Marina in ending scene has the scar , but because she had a friendship with Shizuka ( she still hits her a bit has we can see , but it's soft , it's a bit twisted love language and Shizuka is ok and she just dodges )

CaptainClux

I mean i thought azuma did confess it all, but since they deemed that he was sort pf forced to, he was let go. Junya got fired cuz he is his brother tho, cuz that type of thing often happens

Mohtaj Singh

I think we all didn’t knew where it will go, but in last episode, it’s very simple point, if you are going through something, talk with someone who can just listen no judgement at all. Shizuka had takopi, Azuma got his brother and other friends, then both marina and shizuka get together with the pain they had. I think it’s a hard thing to talk to people when you are going through loneliness and depression and thoughts of just ending ur life, but having just one person who can become a shoulder to cry on, ahh it gets so much easier. And I know because I was also going through the same(not bullying nd all, but same emotions) and out of nowhere i got text from one of my classmates after 2-3 years, and we just talked and talked and it became so much easier for me. Best series of this year.

A

10/10 get teary eyed for half of the episode

Joshua Vaughn

Now that you mention that, that's more likely what happened. Japan's honor culture around family is like that. One person in the family is in a scandal and it looks bad on everyone.

IF Only

That F Gundam in the end really got me bro🤣🤣🤣

linked winters

I think my problem with the way that you approach this show, and I mean this civilly, is that you keep repeating "it's no excuse". I want to say that most people don't believe that any of their actions have been excused because of their motives or trauma. I don't think that was ever the subject of conversation

white_cap

Bro takopi and orb really came out of nowhere and stole our hearts🥹

LetMeTalk

One of the best shows, not just anime’s I’ve ever seen.

Gabriel

ive cried to many sad anime before however for some reason for this one i didnt even tear up even tho i cry pretty easily. maybe its because we dont see the characters emotions from their perspective but rather takopi's or maybe because i watched it weekly or maybe because i cant relate ill give it a 8/10 this show just wasnt for me i think however the hidden symbolism of adam and eve bumps up the rating for me as there being a happy planet which represents heaven and the mother which represents god and the original sin which opens takopi's eyes to hatred just how adam and eve ate the apple and became aware of bad stuff

Anavil Didthasom

It was good for the first 5 episodes, but the ending was a bit disappointing for me."

tom leier

Takopi was peak. This is why its also nice to have some shorter series. Theres tons of amazing one season anime and movied from last 50 years to see

Dash

Till the very end you kept repeating the same shit from episode 2. It is so ridiculous actually. It actually feels like you were very butthurt that many people called out your whacky arguments. You keep yapping about "discussion", but repeat the same shit over and over again with the same lackluster arguments. Like what do i expect from someone who makes "school shooter" analogies in this context or talks about hypothetical scenarios that only consider one persepektive... Btw Shizuka wouldn't have died if the timeline continued without Takopi like we have seen in episode 5. Shizuka would still leave the city and Marina would still be abused every day at home. Shizuka would come back later to then take revenge on Marina and the cycle never ends. Also this constant nonsense of "I don't care how old they are" is very jarring. There is a fucking REASON why we treat children differently... Overall the takes on this series have been the worst out of any reaction ever. Anyways amazing series. 10/10 AOTY

I was hoping for a slightly more extended epilogue—maybe one or two additional scenes with Marina/Shizuka and Azuma. Still, the final part was adapted almost 1:1. In a way, that might have made the core message even stronger. Talking, understanding, and accepting someone with all their flaws can have a far deeper impact than any happy gadgets ever could. A wonderful story with a powerful lesson. Solid 9.2–9.3 from me. As for Anime of the Year, I'd still rank Apothecary Diaries slightly higher. Though it's tough to compare a long-running story with a short anime—six 25-minute episodes, movie length basically. My current top 5 would be: 1)Apothecary Diaries S2 2)Takopi 3)Orb 4)Re:Zero S3 5)Dandadan Something like that, for now.

Bohdan Korda

I don't cry like today and yesterday (when this episod come out) for 2 years, that's the best piece of art I have seen in my life. Nothing affected me so much before. "Happines is born through good talking" and all their stories just made me rethink all my decisions

stephanie johnson

He wants to have discussions but hates when someone has a different opinion from him. It made no sense

YASMINE

Details that made me cry real hard for 3 hours yesterday and again this morning and afternoon .... : - even if an alien magical being appears with magic and suff at the end of the day it can't "fix" your life..... it has to come from within yourself - Takopi HAD TO SACRIFICE HIMSELF, use his happy powers to infuse the past and the timeline where the camera was rewinding fulfiling the promess to make Shizuka and Marina friends..... And so... as a person dealing with depression it hit me deep thinking that maybe in this life that i'm living right now a magical being maybe already intervened in my life. Maybe this life that i'm living right now is still the best outcome out of the all timelines i may have lived dealing with depression Does that make sense ? sorry for my english i'm french ^^ PS: love u Nick <3

Julian

Watch out or he will be complaining that we are insulting his intelligence again ^^

Khada

Hope you are doing ok. Glad this anime can help people at all stages of their life.

StonedTree

I know this was a sad episode/show but that shit made me laugh so hard 🤣

Courage à toi, j'ai aussi longtemps souffert de dépression et en sortir n'est pas facile mais quand tu y arriveras tu auras l'impression de vivre pour la première fois ! Prend soin de toi

DFrench125

Kinda felt like you reverted back to middle school for some of your takes/thoughts during this show... masterpiece of a series but as someone who's dealt with a lot of the themes in this show... your takes were very underwhelming and borderline just wrong.

Forever x

100000/10 anime of the year hands down way better than lotm and i dont think anything this year will ever come close, emotional ride and really breaks you down to your core to test how you think about not even just morality but everything abt them

Daisuke_Takahiro

I don't know if anyone noticed but Marina-chan's face still has that cut from the glass her mom attacked her with in the first time line. It shows that even though they became friends what happened with their home life didn't change anything. What did change was that they have each other now so they don't have to go through everything alone. 🧐 10/10 anime. It didn't need 12 ep. Six was perfect. No regrets at all.🤗

No one cares go home

Gahn the Otaku

People have good and bad, often the bad comes from things they cannot control. That doesn't excuse the bad, it still needs to be accounted for. Shizuka's lesson is that you can't manipulate others into being there for you so you wont be alone. Marina's lesson is that you can't take out your pain on others, or you will wind up alone. Azuma's lesson is that you may feel alone, but if you open your eyes, look around you, you may not be truly alone. Azuma couldn't be with Shizuka because the only reason he wanted Shizuka was because she reminded him of his mother, and he thought he could make himself feel better about not getting her approval by being there for Shizuka. Shizuka and Marina were both alone for different but similar reasons, but that similar pain means that they can lean on each other and understand each other unlike anyone else. There are things that neither of them can change, Marina still had her scar on her face during the post-credit scene. Shizuka's parents are both trash for their own reasons, and the same goes for Marina's parents, but at least none of them are alone. Not being alone makes it bearable.

DFrench125

get a job lil man.. then earn one for yourself! Then you might know what home means ;)

Rizal Zalaludin

this anime is packed, got me another level of experience

Charis Fernandes

The news about 2 young girls missing indicates that Shizuka killed her half siblings to search chappy in their stomach

coat_pheen

bro I noticed that too and thought the same thing. Like them adding that in really shows how real this is. I'm pretty sure we don't have a happy planet here (but I hope we do) or any happy gadgets, but we have 8 billion ppl on the same planet as us, sure alot of those ppl are fucked up in the head fs (take most adults in this anime for example) but you can find ppl who you can talk with, bond with, and cry with. Talking is therapy, and ofc Shizuka couldn't just talk to Marina and start crying with her out of nowhere, but she had Azuma who she could've vented too, she kinda just had to look up (cuz she was always staring at the ground when they were talking) and notice him actually caring for her. TLDR; her having that scar says that we all have shit to deal with but we also have ppl to tell that shit too (Shizuka)

DFrench125

The same newspapers explain that they came back alive, but were too shaken (or presumed harmed) to be interviewed about the experience…

coat_pheen

what are yall talking abt??? The way I interpreted what he was saying was that he wouldn't give a child a pass for purposely murdering someone (causing Shizuka to commit suicide) even though Marina was lashing out (on the only person she could take it out on) from her Mom abusing her since Shizuka's Mom ' took' her husband from her, and that all that doesn't make what Shizuka did in ep 1 inexcusable in the slightest. Shizuka's 'only' a child too. And I think (not sure cuz I didn't rlly read the comments on the last eps) that the comments were just repeating the same arguments over and over so that's why he himself kept repeating what he was saying over and over, that it's stupid to excuse a child for purposely killing someone because they're an abused child. And that he would think that same thing if some (abused and/or mentally-ill) child killed his own child in a school shooting. TLDR (bcuz I was yapping a lot); Nick's saying that what Marina did was inexcusable because she verbally and physically abused Shizuka and deliberately plotted for Shizuka to reach rock bottom and kill herself. And he's repeating that to respond to the main issue the comments have with his reaction. Thanks for reading this!

GOAT Watcherz ForLif3

Dfrench you’re exactly the type of person Nick was pissed about

zeldoor

Solo leveling still better tho

DFrench125

and you're one of the ones who didn't understand the show either! Congrats

😂

Snubby

I mean, you are paying money to watch these vids, then go on a hissy about Nics opinions. No one cares if you have a masters in understanding the depth of human emotions, but you keep doing you I guess.

The_Cringe_Nerd

11/10 The last time I cried like a b*tch this hard binge watching something was Made in Abyss S2. One thing I do have to say about its moral is: When does trauma stop being the excuse for being a shitty person? We all go through shit, some more extreme than others. Still, nothing gives anyone any excuse to push others to such an extreme edge.

loLo

valid crashout by shizuka.. love that scene so much

loLo

dam didnt realize that, thanks for writing this down

KoKoShibo

No words for how much of a masterpiece this was. Such a beautiful/painful show, that evoked such powerful emotions. Loved your reactions and discussions we had along the way. Hope there is another show to come that can have a similar impact.

si tu as besoin de parler n'hsite pas ^^

Nel Fănel

i dont care everyone said, internet is big and its useless as the same time, but if i was Obito, then Kuze its Rin so i will activate mugen tsukuyomi. End of ep2 was my climax moment in this anime. Erased or asasination classroom should become your next feeling anime, asasination classroom have own takopi, but bigger and yellow, with the same impact for the story, or even more cuz in this anime all of them have a big impact, but in asasination classroom its just him and only him. Erased is another masterpiece

Quiet AC

what a beautiful series! gj nick

This anime really changed me bro. I have no words to describe how good this anime is.

LoreLover726

incredible series and I really loved your reactions to the episodes. Honestly one of my favourite anime that i've seen despite it being 6 episodes long. I value how much it's able to show in such a short amount of time when series like my hero academia or bleach struggle to get that level of emotion in depth in their runtime. This series is shorter than the damn demon slayer movie yet hit me so hard and I haven't even experienced bullying or parent abuse before. Episode 4 is one of my favourite anime episodes ever and I adore the discussion around this series. 10/10, great reaction series too Nick! You had a lot of reasonable takes imo.
