The reason why they survived: Asuna: Because kirito asked kayaba that she couldnt kill herselfwhich she tried to do. Kirito Because of incarnation (the same mechanic asuna used to save kirito in episode 10) he was able to cheat death for a few seconds which made kayaba die first thus ending the game

I know it can seem confusing since the series is called sword art online which is the name of the game and they clear it on the 14th episode, but I can safely tell you they're not going back to the game and there's gonna be other shit happening.

If you want a more in depth story and world building of SAO aincrad arc, you should watch a movie called sao progressive. It covers the story with the perspective of Asuna (how she got into this world, her background, what she did before meeting kirito. The quality of this movie is insane and the story is more cannon, since sao season 1 skipped a lot of parts and things were rushed. Even if you have seen S1 it's like a whole new story

Actually I think the reason Asuna wasn’t dead is because the Nerve Gear doesn’t fry your brain for at least 10 seconds after death. We know this because of the revival item from episode 3 which wouldn’t work if their brains were immediately fried. Also if Asuna was already an immortal object she wouldn’t have been able to take damage or even be hit by Heathcliff’s attack

However i feel that you and others should stop trying to imprint your own opinions onto Nick or any other reactor. Its his reaction, if he likes it cool, if not that's also cool either way he will tell everyone through his videos. Alicization is far from peak, SAO was great for its time because it was so novel, the self insert was big in that one, but it doesn't stand up to anything in current age.

I honestly dont remember much of the next arc but I dont think it was bad or anything, rather just compared to the first arc it was probably worse. The only thing I do remember is that there is a weird "side plot". You really cant defend the mangaka for putting that in there, and I have no idea why it is in there but I do hope that you can see past that because I really dont think it was a huge part to the second arc at least I hope so. SAO goated btw

I'm just genuinely happy to see that Nick enjoys this show. I feel like often at times People hate on SAO for no strong reason. SAO was one of my first anime ever so maybe I'm biased, but i still love that show. It has its ups and downs but in its core i still enjoy the series. I'm excited to see Nicks reaction to the rest of the series
