Comments

Idris Naama

I apologize for my outburst

electriq

ost gonna make me cry again

Idris Naama

I always had faith in you Nich!

Sonithy

IM SOO READYYYYY

Idris Naama

On more serious note Nich there is a manga canon movie that you need to watch after season one before watching season 2. It's called "Dawn Of The Deep Soul" so you don't get it mixed up with the other 2 movies that are just recaps of the first season.

Kaito Kaito

actually watching with ur wife would be great, I think she will like the characters

Hxlo

Prepare yourself this is going to be unforgettable journey

Ry

French fries!!!!💪💪💪

no-pool08

Damn Nick, you should go back and rewatch where the site skipped cuz it's the ost and showing how they got to the village, not the opening. I don't even know why the site had that marked as the op in the first place.

goochlicker

mb gng u delivered, Respect

Sonithy

Ok idk what streaming service your using but cutting out the ‘underground river’ sequence is a capital offense

Damper042

Holy shit we're locked in

Dragawh

And it begins. Not satisfied he's finally reacting to it, bro needs to analyze every frame now. What's next? 😜😊💀🎉😁🥹🤓❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🎈❤️

no-pool08

Wooooowwww. Peak ost is peak ost. What’s wrong with that?

Dragawh

Not into this but I know others are hype. W

no-pool08

And ig you forgot that I supported Epic reactions for u

Dragawh

Pretty sure he saw it already on the genre stream

Dragawh

Just messing haha

no-pool08

Pretty sure he said he doesn’t remember shit about the ep

DJ Wilde

You might know that Dean woman charecter's voice actor as Olivier from FMAB.

no-pool08

Ur good ik u messing, we gotta finish POTC sometime

Idris Naama

Just an FYI Nich but whatever website that you're using that usually automatically skips the Opening was not in fact the opening but actual content that you missed at 7:40.

Xan Acktor

An injustice from the website. Hopefully he can watch it.

Damper042

Nah what site is that where the peak calm serenity of the underground river scene is tagged as the opening so the site skips it.

Arnav Mekala

Trust me when I say that being strung up naked is a reward in this anime....because this show does much much much much much worse that being strung up naked is the absolute least of your worries.

no-pool08

Yeah I pointed that out earlier. Almost every site I have seen has that skipped which is weird.

Vinny Deluca

IMO this series has one the single best OST’s in all of media

Vinny Deluca

Why did they skip the Intro 😭

linked winters

The main art director (Masuyama Osamu) for this show actually worked at ghibli on various movies, as well as with makoto shinkai on your name :)

Gup

hell yeah

Idris Naama

I'm pretty sure the author of Made In Abyss said that he took inspiration from Astro Boy when creating Regs design.

Meur̃ect

This was definitely a hidden gem when it first came out, but it has since gotten a lot more recognition

nyarutoru

ptsd intensifies

e10

Oh just wait on the ost, Kevin Penkin pulls out all the stops for this show 🙏

Gael

as we will see the wild of the nature in this anime, in the game of made in abyss we are like in "horror" difficulty lmao

Gahn the Otaku

Enjoyed the reaction. Eager for more. Enjoy that ost its one of the best I've ever heard. Penkin is amazing as always, but having heard his other works, MIA just stands out as amazing. OST is way more impressive than the OP or the ED IMO.

Cookieninja

really cool that u pick up an anime you dropped once to finish it

Gahn the Otaku

He actually had something he worked on called Gears Maiden that ultimately became made in abyss. You can find the first couple chapters floating around the Internet. Same amazing art style and wild storytelling.

bob

That wasn't a person, I don't know what that was.

NikaNikaNoMi

You're in for an emotional ride. Its great.

Isaac

Omg hearing the ost hit gave me chills and made me so nostlagic for this Anime. Fucking love this anime

Nonos

Hanezeve Caradhina- that ost that plays at the end of the episode is one of my favorite OSTs of all time. Def the most beautiful and fits with how beautiful and mystical the world of made in abyss is.

GdVortex

Nah but why did the streaming service cut out the op sequence with one of the best Kevin Penkin OSTs. I’ve waited the whole night. It’s a criminal offence. The op and ed auto cutout system kinda ruins the immersion tbh. And it’d be sad to see it ruing the experience for upcoming episodes and the movie

Teletubbies on PlayStation

Watching Nick watch it give me some appreciation for how good of an opener this was. It makes you want to go into the abyss almost more than Riko.

MadMax80LvL

the most violent anime i have ever seen but i like it

Gonzka

It's because they all have it from the same source

nyarutoru

nooo nich you autoskipped the worldbuilding.... (opening autoskip) . . ahhhh

matteo nindido

you skipped the opening which had canon scenes lol. go back to it please <3

Daniel iacomi

I love your reactions, nick. It's more than a gem. It was the anime of the year when it released. An anime that was not a shounen won the anime of the year, which is HUGE. nowadays you see only and I mean only shounen anime of the year: Solo leveling, Chainsaw man, Demon Slayer, One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, One Punch Man. This anime is a masterpiece, being way different than the "usual" stuff, giving me a similar feeling to Frieren. Both anime are god tier but nobody expected them to come out of nowhere and sweep the entire year, that anime was released.

A

The website you are using skipped the intro at 7:40, unfortunately missed all the beautiful scenery and god tier OST. Please use a website which doesn't automatically skip things. Anyway I can't wait to see your reaction to this crazy anime. Truly one of a kind

Erix

Anyone know how to fix the video playing on vimeo instead of the video just playing in the app?

Altarniir

ready to take emotional damage again

Chosen_Undead

finally i been waiting for this so long, lets goo

Raquinoya

Im sooo happy he is finally watching Made in Abyss

Orange

FINALLY ! it's one of the best anime of all time, and yes it's RegU

Hugo Salazar

Kevin Penkin going plus ultra

Lazy Lenni

Kevin Penkin is such an amazing artist! I'm pretty sure he's even listed as the composer for Gigguk's anime.

Tio

i just binged the whole series in under a week not too long ago, cant wait for you to finish it, such a crazy ride! (also, go back and watch the op for canon scenes!)

Tio

THIS

tom leier

goated series, they also jsut announced new movies for it for next year and after

L1nk

OMG i can't believe it !!!

Sean

weird the video skipped like a full minute at 7:45... one of the best scenes in the episode.

Slappo

one of the best anime of all time. you just need to look past the absolutely depraved pedo shit they sprinkle in. i cant wait for you to see some of the characters though

Ashamdon

Finally someone that points this out... First thing you see when opening almost every volume of the manga is some little girl's naked chest and riko actually being shown strung up naked in the very first chapter is crazy. I like the story, i love the world building but the fact that the author sees need in showing naked kids on a regular basis is weird to me. The fact that no one is saying anything when they usually love getting mad about loli shit is also baffling

Leo S

FINALLY PEAK

WrathInfused

It skipped the god tier intro, made me so mad, and the goofy outro Credit scene. What is this platform? Why r we skipping good stuff? Nicholas, please rewatch that intro, it’s a one time thing I think…

Sean

probably some AI 'skip intro' function that nobody double checked.

Ryzomreal

Nick : block the skip intro ! You just skipped one of the best intros of anime at 7:45 :o You need to rewatch this part of the first episode !

Akai Ki

random but can you watch one piece fillers on stream (they are peak)

Gol d Roger

Finally been waiting forever💪

Gol d Roger

They took off the English for me

Gol d Roger

Buy the season bro won't miss anything and get the best audio and bitrate. Personally I'd buy the blu ray but amazon has it

Gol d Roger

Fuck yeah midnight anime just finished the reaction! Good stuff bro finally a reactor that praises the ost. And yeah this is a show you watch at night time give it the cinema experience

Xan Acktor

I used to love HIDIVE then they changed the UI of the whole website making it hard to navigate. I unsubbed because i hated it. Should have left well enough alone.

Slurpboy

Been waiting for this for literal years

Hxlo

He literally says everytime it’s just drawing he doesn’t care🙀

RB01

Damn the beautiful intro got skipped

Xan Acktor

You and me both. I recognize your pfp asking for made in abyss for years.

Sickness

Feels like I have been waiting on this for 20 years....

Irume

skipped the best opening ever

angelo

damn finally made in peak

Johnny Johnny

That was such a great reaction. I really felt like I was in the story with you. It made me feel kind of nostalgic. Love you Nick.

Hxlo

We all connected by the abyss

Roosterbärs

Damn I'm loving this. Remember to disable auto-skip intro!

Barbietube

I pray he doesn't drop this, this is peak anime. Just exclude "those" moments from your mind and you'll have a good time, same with Mushoku tensei.

Gidj

even "those" moments are kinda normal in older times, i mean eastern european culture is pretty similar, if youre american i dont think its normal for you, but when i watched this i didnt think much of them

GdVortex

The opening sequence was the one thing I was most excited about and it just cut the whole thing. Nick usually reads the comments posted right after the upload so I'm going to mention it next saturday as well. The music is so good that once you know what you've missed, you would go back in time to experience it.

Nel Fănel

you need to watch 2 or 3 eps per vidoe, cuz these eps are linked togheter

Akashina

Homie, you really gotta turn off that "auto-skipping intro" function for cinematic series like Made in Abyss. We effectively missed your blind reaction to one of the most breathtaking introduction scenes to any anime ever... which by the looks of the comments below, is what a lot of your Patreons had been waiting so long to witness. Being a fan of yours for nearly 3 years now, I truly value what you're able to provide as a reactor of media, and just want to make sure both you and your viewers watching get the best possible experience – especially with master class shows such as this. That being said Nick, if you honestly just want the raw MP4 or MKV formatted video files for this series in 4k resolution, then I would absolutely be willing to provide those to you. That way you don't have to deal with these tumor infested pirating sites and their janky ass interfaces, lmao (if you care for that at all, just hit me up via my Discord @aceraye – I can do the same for just about any other anime series as well) Sorry for the vent bro, just thought I'd give my honest opinion on that auto-skip issue, as well as offer a potential solution too. Anyway, I'm still definitely excited to see how much this series will impact you later down the road, cause it sure as hell fucked me up 😆

hellodude776

anime is way better about it tho so most people don't see it or even notice until someone else mentions it

Tony Andrew III

October 15th 2024. already reacted to ep 1 of made in abyss where he did not skip the "opening"

Otaku Otaku

The moment you said you are watching made in abyss on YouTube I jumped here and gave you my Patreon virginity. It's my favorite anime/manga and I hope you enjoy it to the fullest!!!

GdVortex

It's good he got to experience the opening sequence at the least, but it'd suck for him to miss the other ones

Jamen Gallagher

Oh nick i am sooooo happy you are reacting to this!!!

Lerxcnm

SO FUCKING HYPED

mattcha

Thank you for watching “Made in Abyss.” The core of this work is the “curiosity” everyone possesses. Its charm lies in depicting this in a very pure way through the children. Just as walls make us want to go outside, human curiosity is endless. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Sorry if the translation was off.
