I agree, I don't get why ppl hate it so much, it worked with the story, and the villain was great to hate! I get ppl didn't like Asuna sorta being out of the story so much, which I agree, I liked the dynamic in SAO, but that doesn't make it bad, it also gave the show a different feeling of urgency than SAO had, but without feeling bland or low/no stakes like many other shows do after a great first arc.
