I really recommend turning off the automatic op and ed skip for Made in Abyss. There are multiple episodes and a part of the movie where the op or ed are replaced by footage and Kevin Penkin music. The auto skip system skipped the opening sequence on your previous reaction on saturday. And it sadly skipped some footage and one of the best Kevin Penkin songs all together. The first time you watched the first ep months ago you seemed to be really immersed in the moment with the music playing on top of the sequence, so I was kinda looking forward to seeing your second first reaction to the track. It's definitely something that once you've seen it, you don't want to miss future ones. That's why I really recommend turning it off in exchange for having to manually skip the op and ed song, so that you don't miss out on those experiences. Still, do as you see fit. But do watch it in order.

The first two of the three movies are a shortened recap of season 1, and the third movie, Dawn of the Deep Soul is a canonical movie taking place between season 1 and two.

This anime only has 26 episodes and a movie, it does not need an extra slot. Nick will be fine watching it once a week…unless he really really gets into it and decides to go two episodes a week. But this anime is traumatizing, he for sure will want to take a break from each episode.

I haven't started watching Gachiakuta, so I can't say much regarding that. But what I know for a fact is that in addition to us commenters there are many people who don’t comment who want to see more Made in Abyss reactions.

Made in abyss is too good. The episodes will fly by if you dont watch at least 2. Things are pretty calm here in the beginning, but if you don't you will regret it later. When I originally watched Made in Abyss I actually pulled an all nighter and binged the whole show because I just couldn't put it down.

Bro I binged this show wtf are u talking about lol. You saw him at the end of the episode he was dying to continue it. He wouldn't have brought that up if he wasn't thinking about it. He's gonna come to a point where he wants to keep binging it cuz it's not shounen slop like gachiakuta. Not saying gachiakuta is bad but made in Abyss is way more unique. He can pick gachiakuta back up once he's finished with made in Abyss if he wants to. It might be better to binge gachiakuta so he doesn't have to wait each week.

There used to be a 3 episode rule, where if you are not hooked onto a series by 3 episodes, then to drop it. I will say, that I dont have much interest in Gachiakuta, but I loved Made in Abyss and am enjoying your reactions to it. Cant wait to see the rest of reactions to the series

Made in Abyss deserves two episodes a week or even two episodes in one day, once a week. I see people new to the series interested in the series (you can watch the initial episodes in bulk if you want to get through the initial world building and go faster to the meat and potatoes). But honestly every episodes hooks you in for the next one. This is such a bingable show honestly. Gachiakuta is an ok anime but Made in Abyss is truly unique. This is my fourth rewatch of the series and I still love it so much. When Riko said "I am going to born a lot of legends" she meant that her gestures will create many legends, not that she is gonna birth kids that are going to be legends lol. Also, if you are so kind, to remove the auto-skip of openings and endings since like in the first episodes it actually skipped content and the beautiful OST, so you can remove it so it doesn't happen in the future🙏👍

Pleassse I beg for two episodes a week 🙏🙏🙏 Gachiakuta is definitely fun, but Made in Abyss is special! Its tied with Gintama for my all time favorite anime, after your reaction to ep.1 I went back and rewarched the whole series. I can promise you won't regret watching even more of this beautifully dark and brilliant show! This is one of the few cases I can confidently say that the anime is better than the manga!

more made in abyss please, YESSSSSS. also, Nick, please react to the opening to episode one, i know the comments of episode one were filled with this, but the auto skipping of intro and outro is driving me mad, lol. im also aware that some of these are recorded ahead of time so that you can keep your schedule, so no hard feelings, keep doing what youre doing. some small mishaps like this are fine, so long as you notice these comments and respond somehow. basically im saying good on you for keeping to your schedule, lol, i appreciate the effort! and im so happy you enjoy the ost of this series, and the world building and beautiful art that we dont get in modern animes, its breathtaking at times. and damn, the pedofilic tones of this old anime i hadn't picked up on in my first watch through, that sucks, but i can ignore it, as its not horrific, and its from a different time like you said, lol.

If you would keep it at 1 ep per week it would take like half a year to finish it. Thats just to much time. I think it would be better to reduce the amount of series you watch and do more episodes per week maybe 2 or 3 even!

Maybe, in the final arc, the mangaka manages to connect everything. Personally I doubt that the characters reach the end and that's it.

Nobody watches gachiakuta. It's just a mid show that looks like bootleg Black Clover. It has no originality and only tropes. No need to invest time in seasonal shows that nobody will remember in 3 years. Made in Abyss aired like 7-8 years ago and it's already a classic.
