I've not read the manga for this anime but it feels a little slow, its a little hard for me to get into. But this was a great episode and hopefully they're setting the next episode to be peak. However if this show still doesn't catch your interest in the next few episodes, feel free to replace it with Made in Abyss if u want, im sure nobody will complain.

It’s like some fans don’t enjoy real world building and they’d rather have the mc fight every ep

I think the next couple episodes will turn it around. And I disagree about the pacing. It’s not been slow or fast. In 5 episodes we got world-building, the explanation on the powers, and cool action scenes. All we need is an intro to a couple of villains and more side characters, which I know are coming. And the mysteries in this show will keep you intrigued

Agree. In the grand scheme of things it has less action than a lot of other shonen. Like after this mini arc i dont think we will have another action scene until the tower arc. Wich will be like ep11 or something so people need to lower their expectation in this category for the anime. Even during the tower arc the action is really tame. It focuses more on characters, world building and mystery so if people arent interested in these then i dont think the show is for them.

As a manga reader I hope you push through🙏 but it hurts nothing if you do drop the show and maybe pick it up after it’s finished. A huge issue with these slower starting anime’s is watching it week to week. Things get forgotten or it ruins hype along the wait.

I feel like Nick is very spoiled, to the point that if the anime isn't incredible in the first episode he lose the patience to give it a chance, the last 2 episodes of Gachiakuta are where everything starts to move faster, I hope he continues giving chances to the anime to see that in the future it jumps too much in terms of story, and it's Studio Bones in production, so only incredible things will come... and I hope he realizes that he's an episode behind LMAO (this comment is not hate)

you get tempted to drop things so easily, so many anime’s start off slow or not so interesting but get better and better. gachiakuta only has 5 eps and ur saying u were gonna drop it if the 5th one wasn’t good? give things more of a chance, just because they are new doesn’t mean they won’t have great potential.

I think he will drop it if it gets boring. Also yes he is spoiled. He has a whole comuunity that only recommends the best of the best so what happens when you run out of bangers. You give new stuff a try but it feels like youve already seen this anime before just by watching 2 or 3 epsidoes....

dude 5 episodes is almost the half of an average lenght show, just because Gachiakuta is 24 episodes long doesn't mean it should get away with being boring as fuck for probably 10 episodes
