Hold your horse. Wait, no wait. Watch the entire season from start to finish, and then give your opinion on it. We haven't seen nothing yet, but you're still going to react to it. Coming from someone who read the manga myself, this first few episodes are dialogue heavy and build up. Yes, I've waited for a new season ever since s2 ended when I was 13. I can clearly see where you're coming from, still frames and low animated frames. But can't we all have a single ounce of patience, and actually wait for everything to finish first?

I hate to admit it because I love OPM, but you are 100% right Nick - this animation (or lack thereof) is terrible. Music, art style, and VA are all good, but what's even the point of adapting a manga to an anime if you're not going to put in effort towards the animation? Especially for a big anime like OPM.

If I may be honest with season 3 it is the worst season of all in animation than the previous two season. I am not enjoying this ep but wanna wait next ep or just watch and wait 2-3 ep and will drop and read manga instead if animation is still this quality it like png with moving mouth or am I just imagining it

Some scenes in the intro show that they at least have someone with enough talent and time to produce good animation. Let's hope that this person is also doing some fights. Would be cool if they half assed conversations and poured all their limited resources into fights.

The thing is...JC STAFF actually makes good shows.....like Danmatchi with 5 seasons of excelent animation. The sad part is they also have POS this this where they rush things and dont prioritize the quality. This season is just to hagve a S3. and then end the anime. Because they dont want to go through the effort of promoting an "Old" series. Even though its good and people still recomend OPM S1 as a must watch.

Somehow the first episode of season 2 was miles better than this. At least that episode understood to hook people in with action. This all could've been condensed to wayyy shorter... and the editing just feels so off. I tried my best to be optimistic but im not delusional. Sigh..

I’m pretty mixed about this episode, it did have some lack of movement in some scenes, but it was a talking episode with no action so I’m optimistic still as I definitely know episode 2 has some action. (There’s also the fact this was storyboarded by a hentai director who is not experienced in this field so I hope a person who is skilled in this field story boards the next episode {not to blame him} )

Gotta say this. If you want this season's fight scenes to be good. You gotta let this stuff be bad. It's not a great studio so they can't do everything. But if you let them focus on what makes the show good in the first place it can have great moments.

Honestly, the animation isn't even THAT bad, the real problem is the direction of the anime, the pacing, the OST choices, how one scene leads to the other, it's absolutely horrible. The director of this season should stick to directing hentai, which is what he has experience with. This episode was horrible in how quickly one scene switched to another with no passion into it. It is objectively worse than reading the manga, the pacing of the manga makes you enjoy it 10x more than watching this episode, even tho it has no animation, no OST and no voices.

I prefer when you're 100% honest. I respect honesty. Then I'm also gonna be honest, this episode in my eyes was good, but the thing is good+popular=TRASH by many people unforfurtunetly. The episode wasn't great, it wasn't bad, it was good, and I also agree that it deserves A LOT better quality, but I'm also gonna be honest and call a good episode a good episode.

My main issue wasn't even the animation, yeah it was mid but hoping they're saving budget for fights and I don't need crazy animation when people are just talking, but only if they're talking about something interesting. Nothing happened this entire episode, it felt like filler except for the end I simply didnt care about it, pacing, directing, music were all just bad. Animation was just about the smallest problem with the episode

I think the animation is terrible. If would have been acceptable 6 years ago, or if it was a small no name anime. But compare this animation to any IP barely this big and it starts to get horrible.

I think Nick reactions are really good. Only thing i have issue is, is his ingenuity and incosistency with his schedules. Like why not make reactions in advanced so they are always on time. Not with a new releases obviously.

One Punch Man was my first EVER anime I've decided to watch so It's fair to say it really grew on me and watching you experience the same hype I've had for the series really is what made me stuck with you Nick. Having dodged all spoilers from the manga and waited patiently filled with excitement I though I was ready for this season... Yeah... I wanted to be nice and appreciative, I mean we didn't get OPM for so long, but this... The whole thing feels like a cheap ass cutscene out of a mobile game for little kids, the characters are so out of place in the scenes they look like stickers

Your hate is misplaced. There's nothing terrible about the episode itself (you can argue pacing tho for sure), but there is with the production committee that put the studio in this position where they had limited time and resources to work on OPM, resulting in a rushed and undervalued product.
