No offense Nick but a 3.5/5 on a 10 scale rating is a 7/10 meaning you just simply found it to be good and liked it up to this point, not to mention you gave it the same rating as SL which is just mental when that’s only 24 Eps meanwhile this is 60+ Eps into this series. You genuinely didn’t think those rankings through.

Fun fact, the same sound director who worked on this episode is also the sound director who worked on opm season 3 lol, so when he actually cares he’ll do a good job. Jojo definitely gets better as it goes as well, the story telling improves, and the emotional moments really hit. I honestly think itll be a 5/5 anime for you once you finish the eventual steel ball run anime.

bro, we didn't lie when we said this is when jojo's gets serious. it can absolutely get emotional too, it's super highly rated for a reason, it can be a comedy but also a serious show with emotional moments

Nicholas you literally cant review Jojo's exclusively from Part 1, 2 and 3. You have to watch it all, all the episodes. Other than that no 3.5/5 because thats like saying Attack On Titan was good/bad just from the first season lol.

Unfortunately the era it was written in made it hard for modern anime fans to keep up with Jojo. The episodic nature was Araki’s answer and middle finger to higher ups wanting him to make a tournament arc when all the other mangas in the 80s were doing that. A victim of it trying to be different and succeeding at the time but makes it hard for people nowadays to appreciate what it is today. I always tell people to trust the title and expect it to be bizzare and to just have fun with this show. It’ll always remain my number 2 fave (lol can’t top YuYu Hakusho for me)

Forget about the new gen anime fans that only care about animation and fast paced content. Jojo was dominating before 2020s. The pandemic and Netflix screwed its popularity but the fans still followed through with the series till now. Steel ball run is bout to release an show people how great jojos is.

JoJos is deffo gonna be 4-5 territory once he gets to the DIO fight and Part 4. Part 3's introduction of stands was a slow burn into JoJos' real potential. Even though Part 3 is quite good, the last few episodes leading into part 4 and 5 are absolute peak

I ragequit the show when Vanilla Ice started beating Iggy. Months later, I gave it another shot, and the next episode is one of my favorites in all of Jojo's. This episode was hard to watch, but it makes the next one all the better.

Yeah a lot of new gen anime fans really care about Sakuga style animation as well, which Jojos doesn’t really have much of. It’s why stuff like solo levelling and jjk is super popular because of those explosive fight scenes, Jojos is usually more campy with its fights and they don’t have that many sakuga style animation.

Really hoping it’s not, Netflix is sitting on a gold mine with steel ball run, so hopefully they don’t screw up the release schedule. But knowing Netflix, I don’t have much faith tbh

Yeah with Jojos people gotta trust the process, it can be boring with part 3, but if they learn to just have fun with the episodes it’ll be better. Nicholas was just having fun with the previous episodes, so when it finally got to those final episodes it hit Nick like a truck. Like when Jojos gets serious and intense, it doesn’t hold back any punches. Like you said, this was a more episodic part, the later parts definitely have more story telling involved in between and during fights.

i could remove the "useless" which was wrong on my part. but the episodes we're still boring nonetheless. what I'm saying right now is widely agreed upon with most jojo fans. i get it everyones taste is different but people dropping the anime or not liking part 3 is just normal in the jojo community and yea sure there are a few REALLY big fans that love part 3 to death but as an average watcher like nick i totally get why he would give it a 3.5. Which is a very good rating for these 3 parts alone when the best parts are yet to come. P.S i like part 3 alot
