David

The PEAK has arrived!

Phone Pyae Aung

ABSOLUTE CINEMA. BRO THE JJK CULLING GAMES Movie animation WAS EXACTLY LIKE THIS. Just watched it not cap

soham kumar

At the end Reze died thinking Denji set her up and Denji thought she never showed up.

Sin

OMG!OMG!

Phone Pyae Aung

They done animated the manga panel in the friggin climax scene bro. With the green blood

nurish

12 minutes ago and I just came back from work? LETS GOOO

Fuzecore

This movie was absolute cinema

Roli D. Great

It is soooo sad that every 'girl' wants Pochita's heart instead of Denji's (as Denji's heart isn't there at all lol) xD

Furious6040

I had the biggest heartbreak of my life a day before I watched this movie in theaters. and it lowkey cured my depression and I don't know where I would be if this movie didn't pull me out of that hole. its not the best anime movie I've ever seen. its the best movie I've ever seen. love the fast and quality reaction too nick <3

Hollowface

Movie is peak my jaw was left hanging after the movie...i couldn't believe what i witnessed

Dkraccoon

So glad they released this quickly on services i was waiting to watch in again

Nonsense

Where he watching it on?

rizqiefajar

Watching it in the theater was magical

Hxlo

U claim this is the best anime movie of all time. Can’t wait to see if it’s true or not.

GamiMaster

watching 4dx is like roller coster, die at movie theater

Deam

Nick is gonna change his opinion so fast , once he watches demon slayer movie

SomeRandomHobo0

I was absolutely shell shocked bye this movie

Redix13

First movie that I watched in IMAX, it was absolute masterpiece, especially the pool scene

RadzioxxD

9:45 Fun fact: This is a scene from a real movie from 1959 called "Ballad of a Soldier" Russian movie

Peaceful Remedy

God I love this movie so much. I loved it in cinemas and I loved watching it again here 😁

NoahNotes

I love DS and the movie but CSM clears in every way, yes even animation

mathgofast

i want whatever your smoking xD

Dannnik

fr bro this movie is gonna be in my heart forever and also Nick reaction was amazing!! :)

김정현

Nope, never LOL. I mean DS movie was good but it is a series movie so, this time we should give credit to CSM. It is the perfect start and end movie

Ivan Dukov

only thing I can complain about is that the movie was too short, besides that it is truly a masterpiece

Brok3NJays

does nick still not know that in Kenshi's OP.... he aint saying "daddy".... hes saying "darling"

GX .

Reze, just like Denji, was a girl who had only ever been used and ordered around by others, longing for nothing more than a normal, peaceful life. In the end, Denji was ready to throw away the life he had just to run away with her to the "countryside". And Reze, despite knowing about Makima and fully understanding the danger, still went back to the "city" to see him — making a “not smart” choice. It’s an achingly beautiful love story.

NOOBBOT

I do not think she believed he set her up at all. What even makes you think she did?

TortiTheJOJOGuy

I watched both and Demon Slayer wasn't even close to this master piece.

Kurozakai

So glad I got to see this movie in theaters. An absolute masterpiece that I got to see while my ears were blown out lmao

Sorcerer

What a masterpiece. I was going thru a really tough time, but watching you finally get to watch this God-tier movie was a real gift. There is so much more good stuff to come in this series, things I have NEVER SEEN BEFORE IN ANIME. We have a lot to look forward to.

darren

Man I genuinely felt empty after watching this film knowing what it could have been if reze made it back

Ur Senpai Kevin

It’s a masterpiece butttt infinity castle BRO TRUST 🔥🔥

Shadebedlam

Definitely a 10/10 also you should watch sword of the stranger you would like it

GX .

I feel the same. I really wanted these two kids, who had never known real love, to finally experience it through each other. Reze at least got a small kind of salvation in the end — she saw Denji waiting for her with the flowers right before she died. But what hurts the most is that Denji still believes she rejected him and ran away alone.

Milk carton

Does vimeo keep buffering for anyone else or is it just me?

Bongart

In the end Reze saying that she has never been to school, they are both kids that never got to experience a normal childhood... That's hit me so fucking hard 11/10 Masterpiece. Unreal experience, just like watching Infinity Castle

S.

Oh hell yea

Dave

Yeah, infinity castle sucks. Pacing over the place. More like Infinity Flashbacks. The worst animated movie...

Kloinky

“I’ll never talk shit about Makima”…….Oh boy.

ETrain

This is leaps and bounds better than Infinity Castle

meierl_vgt

where did he watch it

Elay

Then why did it do 100x better than the chainsaw man movie 😂 u just a hater infinity castle made millions and was much more of a masterpiece

Elay

Why are we lying lmao DS did so much better

Brok3NJays

holy shit nick move the mouse :[

Alif Senpai

i cried in the cinema bro

mathgofast

idk what bro is smoking

kenny mannino

How is ds going to top this? Pretty easily actually. Now after seeing both. Ds had way better animation and fight sequences. I did like the music choices in csm a little better but thats just personal preference. If this is your reaction to this. Then I bet that by the end of infinitely castle you'll be naked needing a smoke and a sandwich. Both movies were great. I like csm better in this movie that its season 1. But still have to give it to demon slayer. Cant wait for your reaction to that

Dave

You want it to be just like Infinity Castle 3 hours and be a flop?

Dave

I watched both. And Infinity Castle sucked. Even after walking out the cinema I was disappointed as nothing really happened, only infinity Flashbacks...

Dave

You mean "Infinity Flashbacks" of 3 hours, right ? Animation is literally the same like in the show so nothing is impressive...

Dave

Seemed fine to me

iAlpha Soul

Bro at this point just invest to a theater room in your house and react to it in a big screen 🤣👌🔥 unless u wanna fele the 4dx

LetMeTalk

LFGGG waking up to this is the best thing ever

kenny mannino

You mean backstory and character development? Also the animation was definitely better than the show as a whole. By that logic half of this movie was him being a cuck and catfished

Undead Soul

It's on official platforms like Crunchyroll starting today

Deam

Y'll hate Demon slayer for no reason, the movie so much better than Csm movie

Dave

Tbh, I don't care DS did 100x better than CSM and made much more money. The reason is because the anime is very simple and attractive to wider audience. But CSM is way complex just like its characters. People see it as it would be for gooners... Movie marathon with Denji and Makima shows exactly when they watched Infinity Castle and then went to watch a masterpiece.😂😂😂

Christian

ur free to have an opinion but holy shit was this a bad one

Dave

Can't agree nor deny whether Reze made a "stupid choice". I believe she would've been caught by Makima either way like Angel Devil was...

Dave

How are we hating for no reason? We are telling valid critics. Have you even watched it?

Dave

I want to know what did DS better? Showing Infinity Flashbacks, that's true they did it better....

mathgofast

animation clears and they showed like 1 flashback xD

Yosh

This was much anticipated for me, cannot wait to watch you watch Denji watch Reze undress

JuniorTheMeme

trun hasan into clash royal wizard

Phone Pyae Aung

You gotta watch the MHA movies after some of these bruh. Just less than a week and the series is over except for the movies

H

I don't think this movie is short. It sucks we can't watch S2 right now. Movie was absolutety perfect for me.

Will

I’m sad for Denji😖😔

H

3D animation was perfect. I really love that. So creepy and great.

Phone Pyae Aung

"Denji bouta get head in the theatres" Uhh....about that, let's just say there is smth related out there that someone created about

Joey Zero

Everyday I'm reminded that the first amendment was a mistake

kenny mannino

That statement alone proves nothing you say has any validity.

t-menk

Part 2 of the story has a pretty interesting visual involving a HJ. Let's just say that one of the manga panels looks like a Japanese censored version of blood..but there isn't any blood.

Joey Zero

I disagree. Makima doesn't need Denji to set her up. Reze knows full well Makima can do anything on her own and knows the kind of person she is.

Mohtaj Singh

The best animated movie so far humanity has created.

Phone Pyae Aung

"Can I live in this movie?" Technically yes, yes you can. All the places Reze is shown walking is based on real life locations in Japan. Look em up

t-menk

Did it get taken down? It's not loading for me on Patreon.

PennyQuill

sometimes you just have to wait. I had problems with my hero reactions, but eventually they appeared and loaded with no problem

t-menk

I have no issues loading any of the other videos, but this one doesn't do anything. Weird

SmartGold

Ngl this movie is mid only fighting part was good but story is bad. There to much romance this action movie not romance movie

JuniorTheMeme

i believe you are actually oblivious if you really think the demon slayer movie had better animation

flowww

me when i have 0 media literacy:

SoloYT

2nd time watching this, its a masterpiece each time

kenny mannino

It did. Different style sure. But it looked better to me and cleaner. Not in any way saying csm was bad. It was amazing. Just not as good too me as ds

Jonathan Soto

While I do like the demon slayer just a little bit more. I don’t think it clears. This movie is so damm good, especially for only have 12 episodes prior to make you care about the series

健太 武原

first time to pay patreon I was waiting this moment finaly come true and also when you come japan next year you still can watch in the theater please watch it!!!

Pvrple

I wonder if this is what it felt like to watch Studio Ghibli movies back in the day, when they first came out

Yuan

Broooo you missed why Reze came back to the cafe in the end bc Denji TOLD her to come so they can run away together... That's why Denji got the flowers ready for her ;-;

Matthew

To much peak

Moggy Ψ

not really a kid, just someone who skipped that part of the childhood, since she is a fiend she doesn't age as far as i know, plus her being a kid in the USSR probably makes her around 20ish years old

simplymegumin

i watched the movie technically the 4th time now and im still speechless what MAPPA and fujimoto created right there. the next arcs are gonna be crazy as well, im so excited to see how they'll adapt the rest. simply peak

Joel Fernahl

just watch dragon ball or demon slayer at this point lil bro what the hell

Аркадий Прасолов

nah... "DS infinity castle" is just another regular great DS season with better quality here and there. But "CSM Reze Arc" is literally The Movie. Camera Work, the tempo, directing, quality and etc. All about this just screams that it is the Movie

SmartGold

You really think romance and sexualizing character normal in anime and it makes show 10/10

Kamui_

This was 100/10 movie, Are we gonna get a Tatsuki Fujmoto 17-26 reaction ?!

dzuudo

Hmm. I give this 1.5/10 rage bait. Can't believe this the best you can do smh

Hipek007

There's no way bro like Makima

Slav Stan

This movie rocked my world

Gytis Pranskunas

I just noticed ??? Bro haven't seen Heavenly Delusions yet ? Crazy

N4RUT0

Infinity Castle is a better movie for me and I enjoyed it more, but it's all opinion. CSM is still a good movie but it's hyped because it's more recent.

Michael

Csm is way better as a movie. Its pacing feels like an actual film with a beginning middle and end

Hurz

I just watched the outro on my own since you skipped it and JC Staff was involved in this 💀

Philipp Bognar

nah, gibli was just relaxing to watch . this is completely different with all this action going on

N4RUT0

Well, it's not. DS doesn't adapt one shorter arc, but one longer one into several films and it's a more action-packed conclusion to shonen, meaning a different plot template and it's more about fights. DS never stopped entertaining me for a second in the cinema and not even after 3 visits. There is no pacing problem.

Pvrple

True, first half of the movie was kinda like that tho

Saph1re

I've never been in school either...

Poragami

So infuriating seeing him jerking off to the animation instead of paying attention to the dialogue

Saph1re

Also 4th time for me, and Im sad that I cannot go to the cinema again to watch it( fuck makima

WrathInfused

oh yes please!!!!! 17-26 is so good too!!!

WrathInfused

the movie that brings you to tears over just the animation

Ace

End of the movie: "F Makima that hoe" the switch up game is real 🤣

Ace

Not necessarily, CSM takes place in 1997~99 USSR dissolved in 1991

Ace

As much as I love both the sub and dub of this series, I gotta give the dub major props for this movie. For an example, when Denji first mounted Beam before the final fight instead of just being all "this is it!" Denji just says "Yeeeehaaaaw motherfackas!"

Ethereal

Then stop watching him

Ethereal

This. That anime is crazy

Hipek007

Bro is not ready for next arcs.

German4Media

bro didn't read a single line during the reveal of Reze's backstory

Infinity

Damn Poor bro finally meets a girl like him and his over possessive evil boss murders her. I love how he became a makima hater by end of movie lmao.

Zenii

44:15 does bro know hes watching chainsawman

PinkMaskMyers

Masterpiece, also tragic that she died thinking Denji betrayed her while Denji has no clue she’s dead and thinks she simply left and forgot about him.

Jonathan Soto

Bro who hurt you😭DS movie is not that bad. I thought both movies were phenomenal and had different strengths and weaknesses. Neither movie clears the other

Jonathan Soto

I personally liked the demon slayer movie more but something tells me that Nick won’t. I just hope he doesn’t hop on the bandwagon hate train but regardless whether you liked this movie or DS more is subjective

Mikeshouse

Honestly best anime movie in the past decade by a mile. This arc is my favorite from the manga and the movie just exceeded my expectations 100000 fold.

Quiet AC

bro's greatest sin is not playing the credits song

Evan Thompson

Wasnt even nominated for a Golden Globe

Páll Guðmundsson

The storytelling in the movie is so next level. The way it tricks you with the spider and butterfly metaphor into thinking that Reze is the spider and Denji is in her web while in reality Reze is the butterfly and Makima is the spider. Makima is such a frightening character, the way she tells Reze that she likes the country mouse as well implying that she was always watching her gave me goosebumps. The phone booth scene really hits different when you realise Reze is there on a mission to kill him. She realises he’s just a kid like her that’s been deprived of everything and used all his life(probably why she starts crying). This is most likely the first time in her life she’s gifted something like a flower and the “arigatou” feels so sincere from her.

GX .

Fujimoto himself said that Reze is around the same age as Denji, so she’s probably within about two years of him either way.

zeldoor

Ill take some bombage from reze any day

Phone Pyae Aung

My dumbass could never have thought of that unless someone tells me bruh

zeldoor

reze was created in a lab to be a weapon.. she found someone who also had a fucked up life and fell in love </3

Tyler Ngo

nick you are a goon lord and thats fine LOL

Eli

The leg lamp reference 😂❤️

Kai Hsu

Everything but Reze …

Tyler Ngo

I love nick but its like he himself is denji LMAO

Iben

i also had a migraine watching ts and i was also on the verge of throwing up because i was sick but it was still worth it

Phone Pyae Aung

What if I told you the JJK movie this month is on par with this movie

Phone Pyae Aung

Go watch the JJK culling games movie as well

xReVLix

i will agree on the action because it is much cleaner and to be honest i like FSN Heaven feel more than DS infinite castle and also im only impressed by the action for DS nothing else , for the plot im already seeing it on how it would end nothing to be suprised about expect the sun and the first upper moon , but csm sequence are on different level that make the whole movie screaming like it is a movie , the execution make a big different

How-2speak

Sorry but it ain't gonna beat Fujimoto magic

Lanzer

I read through JJK... it's a great shonen series but Chainsaw Man is written by a genius. To me there's no comparison.

Lanzer

It really depends on what we look for in a movie. Some value animation quality and action fight scenes over other aspects. Also depends on your age and how much shonen you've seen. I'm happy that we have two amazing movies this year, and I'll look forward to more amazing work from Mappa.

Lanzer

I love how Mappa elevated the adaptation in so many ways. The spider imagery was especially relevant because the story made a Spider-Man reference later on that I think was lost in translation for the dub. In the sub version Beam suggested Denji to shoot chains out of his arms and swing around tall buildings to get around quickly. An obvious reference to Spider-Man. The gag was that Denji completely missed the point and used his chains to rope Beam into a steed. But at the end Denji finally realized his power and used his chains effectively to cast a web which ended up trapping himself and Reze into his cocoon in an ultimate suicide dive into the ocean. At that point you can look back at the spider reference and realize that the spider in the image was Denji, and it was Reze that was trapped as she spent more time with Denji and falling in love. The butterfly was a Monarch butterfly which is poisonous, signifying that both the spider and the butterfly would perish, just like how both of them sank to the ocean at the end... Well, at least that's my interpretation of it. :). Some like to think that the real spider is Makima which works too, but that would disregard all the spider references in the rest of the movie.

BZD

Is balls the only kanji he can read because he had to look up how much he could sell one of his for?

Poragami

I pay for it so i may as well post criticism lol

5443221

only if OPM had this beauty

BZD

I feel like the Demon Slayer Movie and this Movie are such different styles despite them both being Anime, that it’s not really necessary to compare them. They are both visually great. I think the story is the best place to compare them. Edit: okay. Nevermind. The action scenes in this are too amazing. I guess my main point is that they are just different styles of anime.

Zoltán Csorba

One of my favourite animated films ever!!! Already watched it twice in cinema. Unbelievable and so beautiful!

Lazy Lenni

Spoiler for Reze Movie!! 4:40 At this point in the opening sequence, we can see Makima giving Denji Reze's detonator/pin.

Erii

This movie fucking broke me. The VFX team, the music, the animation. Tears. Made me rethink my life decisions that lead me to get invested into csm and love tf outta Reze even though we all knew she was gonna be evil. Genuine depression finishing this.

ecreif

btw the song the that start playing at 1:02:00 is still not the full version yet, they only reveal 70% of the song in this movie

Harsh

Love you reaction brother

Azhar Baihaqi

The outro theme song jane doe is fire too, please react to it

Tobs

did Nick even watch season 1? or did he just forget so many things

Kiza

What a fucking great movie

Bro only 12 episodes released +3 years ago, I watched only once and forgot everything

GunShineState

7:13 thats when the theater erupted with barking 😂

Yo Dani

"I'll never talk shit about Makima, ever" xdddddd 1 hour later haha

Yo Dani

i mean, its Nick xd

Luis Saavedra

Yo nick, i didn’t watch it in theaters either, I was waiting for your reaction. GOD TIER MOVIE

Erii

This was such a hard fucking watch. I didn't want to see Reze die again but I wanted to see the rest of the reaction 😭

NikaNikaNoMi

The part where they visit the cinemas is really important to us as viewers. There's people who can laugh and empathize or even like a lot of things, no matter how they're made. It is significant to us because we see that both Denji and Makima are not only on the same wavelength, it also shows that not everything can fit any one person. IDK, I really loved that detail. The animations are great, but the story is above and beyond for me.

Bommy

Glazing this like a Krispy kream donut is okkkkkk. This movie 11/10

Bommy

Fight scenes in jjk are good, story is a bit messy in jjk

Bommy

Also, force close your most used apps. They are running in background and patron app hates apps running in back

Bommy

Force close your most used apps.

Bommy

Force close your most used apps

e10

I would probably say I enjoyed this more than Infinity Castle but I hope u don’t let comparing them get in the way of enjoying that movie. Getting these two movies in the same year is just insane, no need to put one down to lift up the other

Mic Pie

I’m never gonna let the internet convince me of something again. The movie was fun but not the masterpiece 10/10 everyone said it was. The things that stood out the most for me were the animation and music. The story itself and the characters I didn’t really care for. Overall I’d give it a 7/10.

Grant McNulty

It took me until 3 days after watching this movie to realize that when makima appeared she immediately started talking about the country mouse, meaning she was somehow listening to the conversation they had in the school

Rocked In

All my homies hate Makima

Rocked In

This is why no one likes Demon Slayer fanbase, no one asked for you to be here

Rocked In

1:34:40 is the best reaction

Kaan

you mean 1:34:40 yeah :(

Rocked In

Yeah you're right

Sabrina

We all need an Aki in our life! thats what Denji needed all along especially at his age; a good male friendship, girls can come much later!!

Mic Pie

Are you schizophrenic by any chance?

Rocked In

Have you scrolled down by any chance

Alif Senpai

crazy in the end Makima talks about country mouse because she was listening to the entire conversation between Denji and Reze in the school this entire time

rosouekBoTak

If you look closely during Reze's song you can see makima vibing to it

kazu_art_park

This is Emotional Movie... 🐭💦 Which do you like better, REZE or MAKIMA?

TenyAR

Is it just me or the mouse was visible during a fight : C

Joshua Vaughn

I think demon slayer will still surprise you

Mic Pie

Did he say something bad about demon slayer?

Joshua Vaughn

Yes he said he dont know how demon slayer is going to top this.

Mic Pie

Well since it seems like he usually goes by what his fans say on twitter he will probably say csm was better just to please them

Joshua Vaughn

I dont pay too much attention to it but from what I've seen, he seems to be one of the most outspoken of the reaction channels whn it comes to controversial topics in anime. Same with takopi and one punch man. I dont think anyone wants to stake their rep off Twitter that badly

Hipek007

Obviously no one like Makima who have brain

Dave

This is the first time I'm going to let the internet to convince me that the Movie was a masterpiece which it was. 🫢

Dave

I had to rewatch season 1 before going to the cinema. Most likely I'll do the same when season 2 is released. 😅 Sometimes you need to refresh your memory.

Dave

He already did before the movie was released digitally.

Dave

After reading manga, I noticed MAPPA likes to add a lot of spoilers in their intros/outros 🤨

Noctislolig

Wait, do you guys think that Demon Slayer movie was better than the Chainsaw Man one?

Joshua Vaughn

I have a higher love for Demon slayer since it was the show that got me back into anime. But yes I think it was better. Although it all honesty its kinda apples and oranges. Super high quality and cinematic apples and oranges.

Nel Fănel

rize, reze, both stole mc heart, yeah.... its back in 2014 guys. to hear shizuka laugh so much is wierd

Raiyu Lilliputian

Now you know where my hatred for makima came from.😡

Donce Baki

At 1.22.58 you can see Denji dissolving the chainsaw on his leg so he doesn't hurt Reze as he pulls her close. It is such a beautifully tragic story with many small details that make it seem realistically perfect

Adam Beňko

Wow for me it's not even close. CSM movie is like top 4 of all time, alongside Akira, Howling castle or Princes Mononoke in terms of writing and emotions (4th ofc not better than any of these). DMS is like top 20 or 30 of all time. Doesn't really bring anything new to a table but it is executed in a perfect way, 8.5/10 for sure deserved.

Vipex

Not movie of the year but movie of the decade

Acoustic_guy

It's worse bearly feels like a movie

Hans Henrik Hansen

All the movie did was prove Bros are better then hoes.

Abirim

Sadly bros can't stop my hunger for flesh and my thirst for pussy
