You can easily put subtitles on on crunchyroll. Just open the settings then open subtitles, you will see English and English [CC]. English [CC] puts on subtitles.

I love seeing people's reactions to early dragon ball because everyone thinks the whole show is gonna be screaming, transformations and fights then they get dropped into a goofy ass adventure comedy. Also are you planning on getting caught up in time for the super remake or just for galactic patrol?

I REALLY hope and pray he goes with Kai. The original DBZ dub totally messes with the story, dialogue and the characters, especially Goku..who’s a bootleg Superman instead of Toriyama’s Goku

I remember being 6 or 7 and my dad buying me a physical copy of the entirety of this series for my bday🥹 so many fond memories with Dragon ball and it feels like such a breath of fresh air compared to modern anime

Commenting so you can see that the people want more dragon ball. Dragon Ball is life changing and it becomes a part of your life forever, even if it isn’t on your top 3 animes (For example, my favorite anime is One Piece, but I also think the best anime ever is Vinland Saga. Yet, Dragon Ball is in another category because it can’t be labeled since it becomes part of you). I first watched DB by starting with Z first (sadly) and then went back to watch DB from the beginning (dubbed) and then watched Daima while it was airing, then watched Super, watched all the movies, then got the manga and read all of Dragon Ball as Toriyama intended to tell the story, and then rewatched the anime in sub (japanese) and just, every form of Dragon Ball (well, some dragon ball related media does suck like the live action lol) but most of Dragon Ball related stuff is just amazing. I hope you enjoy the ride that is this masterpiece!!

I agree with the animation quality too like the hand drawn fluidity/movement is so pleasant and they pay more attention to detail ✍🏻 digital anime are a lot quicker to make and I think that it makes some people overlook things that make looking at a scene more engaging

Hey Nick, I am 42. I watched this when this first came out in the US. So yeah, I am blessed to have watched this in my childhood. If you like this, then you will LOVE Fist of the North Star. Another classic 80s anime. So bad, but yet soo good.

by the way nick, you should probably watch dbz kai when you get to dbz. kai is basically just dbz but with better pacing, no filler, and a better dub. the original dbz dub is full of mistranslations and inconsistencies and basically dismisses toriyama's vision, which kai fixes.
