When JJBA Steel Ball Run comes out, should I watch it weekly? ALONG WITH JJBA Diamond Is Unbreakable? Since it’s a separate universe?

what do yall think?

Comments

drinkndrive

i would always say catch up first. stone ocean leads into steel ball run so its kind of a whole thing

Swift_Ninja

I don’t know anything about jojos

nicholas

Haven’t read it from what I hear it is the best of jjba and it’s also in a different timeline so it’s completely fine to do this

Mackenzie Manning

Nah don’t ! watch high school dxd you big dih mf

Hunter Pierce

Honestly doesn’t matter a whole lot because you will be caught up eventually. SBR doesn’t have anything to do chronologically with the first 6 parts.

Hank Kleinberg

While it's its own universe, it's also a sequel. Concepts from past parts are brought up, and the art style is a gradual shift from 1 to 7 so it'd be jarring. It's like how technically Part 4 has nothing to do with Jonathan and Dio, but jumping from 1 to 4 would feel off.

MLG JP PR

True but since it’s a whole different timeline it wouldn’t really spoil anything for him

Nathan Coutts

While its a sepaeate universe it kinda spoils the whole of part 6

Jared Wright

Even tho it is a separate universe I don’t think you’ll get the same experience than if you just caught up

Orcward

I'd say catching up isn't fully needed to enjoy it but it would be good to catch up before watching it.

Arjunjoestar

We ain't even know if it's gonna be weekly brah 😭😭

fargatRedux

Part 4 really deserves your undivided attention in my opinion.

scolux

It didn’t really lead into it both of the parts have 0 connection to each other despite what you may think but I still think nick should catch up first before watching it

ourcraft

unfortunatly no you gotta catch up , it is in a different universe sure , but you gotta on the same level of jojoness as everyone

Kosaki

You don’t need to rush it. Eventually, you’ll be there, just take your time and appreciate the story along the way. You’ll be more appreciated and understand why part 7 is in different timeline.

REDE

Suggesting part skipping? are you joking bruh?

drinkndrive

they literally do LEAD into each other, but yes there is zero connection other than the fact of what occurs at the final episode of stone ocean

REDE

fym "unfortunately" he should realistically have finished it by now if he didn't drop it for two years.

ourcraft

no it's completely unrelated to part 6 , people often make that mistake but the characters and time line doesn't line up with the end of part 6 , think of it as a jojo 2

NERO

It really doesn't matter

REDE

sybau

Cob

Definitely catch up first. Splitting your attention between two different Jojo parts that take place in different times will just make things harder to follow and understand. Better to just keep going as we are now.

drinkndrive

im talking about what seems to be a literal sneak peak at the end where it goes to a wild west setting

REDE

Liking your own comment + a pfp of the mf you are subbed to (cringe af)

Unknown Plite

Steel Ball Run is gonna be crazy, but I definitely still think you should just take your time and enjoy the series and watch it once you get there rather than going straight to it. There's no reason to rush, you'll appreciate the part more once you've seen the rest

Joey Zero

Tbf is really doesn’t matter. SBR is not a direct sequel and plays more as a reboot. Definitely catch up first, but it wouldn’t ruin the experience if he watches both or skips to SBR then goes back.

BRAZ ZER

It's kind of insulting that you would even think of doing that😭 you mostly just need to have watched parts 1-3 to have the full expirience since most of the callbacks to previous parts are for those 3, so yeah you could but idk it feels wrong

Kelvin

Two jojo parts at once would just ruin the experience for both. You’re having fun now watching the show, why skip to the latest part when you’re still on part 4. No need to skip parts.

Arjunjoestar

What sneak peek are u even talking bout?

WizardKing

It’s funny how we jojos fans dont call it season 4 but part 4 i love it

Animble

It truly is unfortunate you can't be there for one of the greatest manga adaptations and anime airings ever. Really disappointed. You definetly should wait, watching both will ruin the experience of jojo's

Animble

At least you should be caught up by the time the series gets to some of the crazy good stuff later on.

Shendri27

Keep the best for last 😁👌

Mikael Elsoukov Pedersen

Technically part 4 is season 3 on a lot of streaming services, so it's not really reliable to use that. Besides parts is what the author officially uses so of course its natural to use that.

REDE

Joey Zero, It kind of will though. Even though its not exactly a direct sequel the reason for the change in setting is entirely dependent on the previous part. Part skipping is just a blatant way of saying "i don't actually care about the Ip i just want to make content on whatever is performing the best." (a problem he wouldn't have if he didn't lie about a jojo month and then quit the show for 2 years)

REDE

Yes but then he can't make revenue off of SBR vids when its trending.

xFlamex

I don't think it matters since it's a seperate universe but some of us still want you to finished everything before SBR

REDE

Because the story is an ongoing and segmented anthology thus they are referred to as "parts"

Mésion

On paper it doesn't really matter. But in reality there is a gradual evolution through the parts of artstyle, stories, stand powers etc... I'll still recommend to do it part by part, the experience is better.

Jargo

I think you're right about him having time to catch up. I have a feeling that Part 7 will be split into 4 cours of 12 episodes each. I imagine the first cour will end with the introduction of a certain power type as a cliffhanger to hype people for the second cour.

Kosaki

People will still watch it no matter how long time has been passed. Imagine he watch 2 parts of JJBA at the same time, he’s gonna get mixed up shit a lot (characters, abilities, story etc.) He already has like 10 shows rn and that’s enough.

Snatat

Go absolutely ham and do a JoJo marathon week 😀

Joe

Wait but I would like to see you react to the trailer

Fabien

What is even this question lol.

Kelvin

That kinda his fault for ignoring jojos for this long despite his fans telling him to watch it. Now that jojos becoming popular again now he wants to skip to the latest part for reactions.

Kosaki

I understand him tbh JJBA is not for everyone. At first when I watched the shows long time ago I didn’t get the bizarre feeling of it. I took a break for a while, then came back. It became my #1 shows since then

ItsAHunkOfChicken

Id wait just so you can soak in all there is in each part you watch so u dont get things confused or whatnot. Id rather have steel ball run reactions wait if the experience is gonna be 10x better

Hxlo

No

Peaceful Remedy

IMO you’ll get more views if you watch it since it’ll be current but I think that you’ll enjoy it more personally if you wait. Also I think us viewers will enjoy it more that way.

gzu

On YouTube already

Khidir Suhaimi

bro just watch both at the same time if you really wanna catch the hype , nothing wrong with that

Neon

I love everyone is voting catch up!!!,

K3L9B

It's like one piece, if you catch up you'll learn to appreciate the storytelling and characters way more. If you skip you'll lose that.

김정현

Yeah, I think so too

Erii

More's not always better if u genuinely don't understand what the fuck is happening in SBR lmao. U need the experience of watching parts 4, 5 and 6 before 7, since there is so much progression for what stands are and what they can be

Zan Wang

Obviously if you can finish that’s the best, but we don’t expect you to finish part 4, 5 and 6 all in one go that is kinda unhealthy, they are all some of the best parts too so we don’t want that to be passed off as a binge train anime. So ig just do wtv you want and those who disagrees have the wrong opinions :)

Bruh Master

You do not need to go for extreme for us. We love your reactions and we(or just me) want you to enjoy the show as much as we do. So take your time. Its your bizarre adventure in the end

Daniel iacomi

Just take your time. Enjoy the ride. No need to rush for the destination. Or else you are not gonna enjoy anything. Just relax and take your time.

Asher Corbin

IMO SBR would be great to alongside DIU, simply knowing the concept of what stands are is all you need to know in preparation to part 7, as a counter example to my own argument the hype for Sbr will be massive probably most of the year considering it will most likely be weekly released episodes because of the 47 minute first episode special. I hope you end up watching side by side, but anyways Nick thank you for these reactions as always brother!!!

Zain Bali

I rather he catches up first. It's Nick, he won't be able to understand what's going on and won't be able to concentrate at all.

slayastar

Yeah naw part 5 has similar story structure problems as part 3 which gets repetitive.

Kakenaso13

Sobre valorada, la cuarta esta mejor

Astro Myau

Yeah he will part seven only references stuff from part 4 at the latest with josuke higashikata, most of the references are from parts 1-3 and he alr knows its in a different universe

Jonasmotoz

Nick really needs to make sure he has the right subs for later on so that he can read what heavens door reveals

Skary

I feel like part 3 and 5 is harder to rewatch than for example second half of part 4. But at first watching, all of them are godlike (unless its car stando)

pzzski 6465

U better watch part 5 first

Starke

always watch in release order, for any series. also why even bother with a poll if he's already decided?
