Pretty sure most people hating havnt even watched it they’ve just seen a few clips of luffy being cringe and decided season 2 is bad when when you actually watch the episodes it works and this season has been amazing do people forget it’s a one piece adaptation probably the most cringe ridiculous anime there is bunch of clowns

I saw exactly this when I was on Reddit and saw people saying that their glad they didn’t watch it when a post brought up the scene of luffy laughing in Loguetown before his attempted execution. I won’t lie, that was cringe, but that was a cherry picked scene but people seemed to think if it was like that, the whole season 1 and 2 were like that.

Yeah I’d agree it wasn’t great but Iñaki has good moments this season aswell all of drum he was really good and parts of little garden aswell just the few moments where the acting is meh but he’s also gotta be luffy not the easiest character to play

There is some weak acting coming from the actor for Dorry. Its a bit clunky, his line deliveries, and it does bring people out of the immersion during his dialogue. Edit: To be specific, Broggy acts as if he's in Middle-Earth while Dorry acts like a regular dude wearing a cosplay.

For me it was the accent of Dorry, sounds too close to a forced Afrikaaner accent and it kills me with cringe when I hear it. Also I do think the giants were a bit over exadurated in their performance and with a bit of poorish editing with their comp. But I still did enjoy this episode regardless. 7/10.

the reason it's "Bad" is because the arc is mid. In the anime I really found this arc boring. You can only do so much to make a mid arc good in the live action.

Funny how when ppl try to drag this show down they always pick the goofy looking shit but conviniently ignore the insane shit like the zoro sequence last episode.

38:10 I actually like watching both OPLA-only people and people familiar with the series. There's a certain amount of fun in watching OPLA-only reactors try to guess what is going to happen and be genuinely surprised at events, but there's also joy in watching people familiar with the series get hyped at seeing familiar faces, gush over how well they matched character designs, and catch the easter eggs (like Bart in 2x1) that OPLA-only watchers wouldn't catch.

I feel like this show would do better with less close up shots of faces. Also since that writers strike ended, why has the dialogue been shit..the acting could thrive more if they had better writers

If people can hate something, they will, because they're miserable. It's easier for some to be cruel, so they default to the easy response. People are ridiculous. I agree with Nick, that the goosebumps and the tingles are telltale signs of sheer enjoyment, that simply can't be faked. Y'all need to enjoy more, especially a series ABOUT joy and discovery. Maybe it'll make a difference in your life.

I am currently studying Media and i have worked on small short films for the college i study at, not only me but others i know including the staff has also said this about many Netflix shows like Stranger Things and OPLA. And we are taught not to use constant face shots during classes. The constant face shots show they do not have 100% confidence in the sets. I do love this season, i am one of the biggest One Piece glazers does not mean i can not criticize

I cant believe I just fat thumbed and removed. But yes, i guess saying to volunteer to YOU was reasonable. My take on the face shots is that they are recreating the 'typical anime reaction shots'. But yes. Its not just a glazing for me. I try to give them their flowers. Its the first live adaptation ive actually enjoyed, and I was a HUGE hater for live adapatations.

Yeah that is fair, doing it for the anime reaction recreation is fine, i just think they did too much of it. The only other live action i have liked was the Japanese Kakegurui one, and they had close up face shots that weren't as bad as OPLA's
