This never happened before…

but Netflix got in touch with Patreon and wanted my One Piece Live Action reactions removed.

Luckily, Patreon gave me a warning about this and gave me time to announce this to my audience, without copyright striking my account.

Unfortunately, I have to stop the live action reactions. I’ll keep the old ones up for the week but then I’ll have to remove them this coming weekend.

Fortunately, a lot of new shows come out in April, including the One Piece anime!

With JJK, Frieren, Fire Force, and To Be Hero X, all coming to an end on this schedule. We’ll be picking up One Piece, Re Zero, and Witch Hat Atelier. Maybe 1 more show too.

Since I’ll be leaving Tokyo this week, I’m looking forward to streaming full time, doing Patreon exclusive anime streams, and going all out with content!

April will go crazy 🔥

That’s too bad but understandable. Good on you to address it. Maybe it’d be possible to upload a screen timer alongside your reaction as a watch along instead. Many other creators seem to do that when they run into issues.

Yeah, figured it would happen, Netflix doesn't like reactions of their shows uploaded cuz since were watching the episodes with you, it's like your streaming the episode to a bunch of people who probably don't have netflix, so they don't benefit. You could record your reaction and instead of showing the episode you have a live timer, so that people with netflix can watch both at the same time, but that would probably be very annoying for us

Patreon was supposed to be the safe haven for content creators and now they are ruining this place too. Yuck............. By the way Nick, I just wanted to recommend, there is a crazy amount of Fate fans waiting to sub on reactors just for them to watch Fate. Or maybe you're trash. I'm not a one piece fan nor I've watched the live adaptation but I've heard only good things about it and that this is the best live action adaptation. Plus the manga creator is heavily involved.

When you want to react to one more anime, you could react to Akame ga Kill - you really enjoyed the first episode and the anime is brutal and dark and has many surprising twists, I think that would be great. I wish you'd find a way around it, even if it was timer based reactions (no pausing, just show a timer instead of the video and we sync our own video), but it is what it is. And it'll probably start happening A LOT more often as time goes on I imagine. Just wait for the CR/Netflix merger and Netflix bans all anime picture-in-picture reactions from Patreon haha.
