To this day I don't understand why people like Akame ga kill so much. I found the story boring. The fights were really mid. The characters all had potential but were never further developed... The first few Episode are good but the rest? Eh. Especially compared to everything else on the list.

The reason I don’t like the anime was because it felt lazy and they just decided to do brutal stuff cuz they didn’t know what to do with the characters. As for the manga there was a lot more in it that was more brutal for the sake of storytelling instead of not knowing how to end a character’s arc which leads to cool brutality. That’s just how I felt tho.

If they remake it like FMAB and not Blue Exorcist, it would be better to watch the original if they butcher the first arc assuming anyone watching would have seen it done right in the og anyway. When Blue Exorcist did it, they were just like "here is a 10 second recap of episode 17, we're going from there and everything past it in the original is not canon"

Why do people want him to watch Akame Ga Kill? The anime basically does the same BS as Tokyo Ghoul not following the manga. Akame ga kill probably is the most ''reaction'' type anime here for moments, steins gate is the best show to watch if u fully commit into watching all of it. I get what you mean but Akame ga Kill is pretty short and will also make pretty funny reactions. Soul Eater doing well is the nostalgia and fire force ending. I do think he'll enjoy Steins Gate more but in terms of reaction demand it might not be as wanted since its a less hype show.
