I'm mostly a sub enjoyer myself but Soul Eater is one of the hand full of anime I feel DUB is a bit better (other ones being Dragon ball, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, and Death Note). I just like the personality of the characters the voice actors give more its more fun to me. Whatever you choose though I will continue to watch its your first watch through anyway you should enjoy it the way you want.

The dub is super good! Yeah, at least do one more episode in dub. You can make up your mind after watching episode 5. Though, episode 6 in dub is super funny, so I would recommend watching both episodes 5 and 6 in dub and make up your mind on which is better in your opinion.

The worst part is that I don't understand why you ask what we want if you're going to ignore what your audience wants. 30% wanted dubbing and 70% wanted subtitles, and you prefer to do what the minority who are native English speakers want, while ignoring the 70% who probably aren't English speakers. And you bring in these voices that we're not comfortable with. I'm sorry, but if this keeps up, I might have to go to other channels. I love your reactions, but I think it's awful that you do polls or ask what we want only to ignore it. It's better not to ask anything and just do what you want so people know what's what and can decide whether to stay or not.

I'm not saying this because it's incomprehensible, but because we're not used to that dubbing, since we normally watch it in Japanese with subtitles, and that makes watching it in English unpleasant or unenjoyable.

would be a damn shame to watch episode 5 in dub when its such a great episode for sub, dub is not bad by any stretch for the rest of the show but some of the VAs in the sub just make all the charm of the show and the dub is not on the same level, pattys laugh is different, maka is not even close to being as good, stein is plain boring and kid is weird sounding, i get that you probably pre recorded episode 5 so whatever

I didn't say that, but for people who aren't native English speakers, it's simply more comfortable and enjoyable to watch it in its original language. So why ask, "Y'all cool if we do another episode dubbed?" if in the end, even though most people ask for subtitles, they'll put it dubbed anyway? I think you understand what I mean. I understand it's their channel, but people aren't here for free either, and I think we can have opinions and make requests on this topic.

Are people really complaining about if he watches it in subbed or English dubbed. 99% of the anime he's watched has been subbed a little bit of English dub isn't gonna hurt you or kill you. Plus while most anime are slightly better subbed like 1% to 2% better subbed. it's not that much of a difference in voice acting quality between most anime subbed or dubbed. Every anime i watch. I watch it in subbed and then if it has an English dubbed i watch it all over again in the English dub because they're both good. God i fucking hate subbed elitists and I also hate dubbed elitist both subbed and dubbed are good get over yourselves.

Even though I have no problems with English, then English isn't my primary language, so I understand those who prefer the sub and didn't like dub. If you want to keep watching the dub, that's fine. But what was the point of this poll? If you're just testing what works best for you, most people probably won't have a problem. However, in my opinion, the sub version delivers better. Plus, the entire Fire Force series was watched in sub

I’m not a native English speaker, so I couldn’t give less of a damn about the voice acting, just like the 70 percent who voted for subtitles. But no, instead we have to watch something the majority doesn't like. Just great.

genuine question but I only speak English so I don't get it but how is watching a show in English harder to understand if you watching a English reaction channel? unless your primary language is Japanese I guess. like is it just the lack of subtitles and not the language itself?

Even though I know Japanese better than English, I am not Japanese, but Polish. As for language preferences, I'm simply not a fan of changing the original voice to a different dub, and I prefer listening to the original. But that's just me, and I'm not responsible for anyone else's

as a dub hater the soul eater dub is great but honestly the reason I hate dubs so much is because these 15 mf still sound exactly like they did in soul eater, and it pisses me off because I hear them in games and cartoons giving unique performances but then the second they voice act in an anime they suddenly revert to the exact same performance they've been doing for 20 years

I see you're enjoying the music a lot Nick, just wanted to mention that the composer Taku Iwasaki also made the soundtrack for Gurren Lagann, Gachiakuta, and Akame Ga Kill. I swear he can compose ANY style and still have his own signature flair to it, he's for sure my favorite composer for anime soundtrack!

The Dub and the Sub for this show are equally solid. There're rare gems from the golden age, where the Dubs are totally valid options. DBZ, Death Note, FMA, Inuyasha, Bleach, Naruto, Gundam, etc and Soul Eater is definitely in that list. It's definitely a preference thing.

No, it makes sense. Not everyone who can read english can understand spoken english. I'm a non-english speaker and while I managed to learn written english easily, I took years to understand spoken english. I still have a bit of difficult in some words and I can't speak properly at all. However he decides to watch the anime is his choice, but understand that each language have their own difficulties and in English the most difficult part is the pronounciation. So don't say it has no logic, because it has a lot of logic actually.

That is different from listening to english. Not everyone who can read or write english can speak or comprehend. I'm not saying anything in favor or against the dub/sub but pronunciation is really difficult to get used to for us non-english speakers.
