Hate to break it to you, but Elbaf is pretty damn mid. There's a long flashback that won't start until October at the absolute earliest (assuming there's no break after 13 episodes, but if so factor that many months into the delay), and the flashback is top tier peak One Piece, and the current chapters (as in, stuff you won't see for another year at least) is getting interesting. Everything else about Elbaf has been shockingly mid, so temper your expectations.

If he goes into it expecting to not like it, what kind of attitude is that? Just let him see if he does it not. Considering the egghead and wano reactions, I’m sure he’ll love whats happening in the later episodes of Elbaph when that stuff happens.

Then it's probably not until January that Elbaf will get good. Also, Wano is pretty good and Egghead is actually one of the best arcs in the series. Elbaf could redeem itself, but currently it's nowhere close, so that's a bad comparison to make.

That’s just you then, because I loved most of Elbaph so far. From the beginning episode, the Lego kingdom part got old fast, but it didn’t last long, but as soon as we actually got to Elbaph proper, it’s been pretty good. Egghead while very good has had some episodes that dragged and wano has had some of the worst pacing simce Dressrosa. Again live the arc, but some parts in the beginning I just didn’t care for. Bur the really good episodes were god tier and the animation was so good. I don’t know what you mean by everything after the flashback being mid, it’s the furthest thing from that considering what’s currently going on.

I said everything BEFORE the flashback is mid. After it gets mid again up until a certain someone shows up (or I guess once Loki decides to play), since then it’s been decent.

You felt sorta off this episode man. Enjoy the ride. Adventure is the bread and butter of One Piece. Hype moments are hype because we learn about characters and the plot. Not every episode can be nonstop action. That'd be boring. Literal fantasy stuff happening and you just seemed annoyed by it. Have fun.

This is what Oda said while releasing these slow chapters, "Enjoy the breathers while you still can because you won't be able to catch your breath later" And Damn he was right, These eps are just setup stage for some of the greatest shit we witnessed in One Piece.
