Stone Ocean is not underwhelming. It has the greatest last stretch in all of JoJo by far, and arguably the best-written part in the JoJo anime. People just hated it because of the release schedule (fuck Netflix) and because it dips a tiny bit in animation compared to part 5, but it's still peak, and it's my personal favorite.

I meant only the part as a whole. Of course the last arc is the best. Although I'd argue it's not better than last arc of part 3. Honestly I didn't enjoy the parts after part 5. I've been itching to discuss this with someone, if I drop the "part 7 is the best" narrative, I didn't enjoy it as much as part 5, 4 or even part 3. It's crazy I know, it's like all parts after part 5 are only good at the end. Like it was alright along the way, but I really felt hooked only at the end, like truly. Part 7, part 8, part 9 is not interesting to me at all, I read like 10 chapters maybe at most and just dropped it. Part 7 is great but not my cup of tea, part 5 is the peak of jojo's for me
