The manga was slow for two volumes than the plot started plotting. I personally just wait for the next volume to release before reading it. I ain't reading chapter by chapter

A lot of these episodes definitely have been slow but I still feel like, compared to other one piece arcs in the beginning stretch, elbaf has has had more interesting stuff in it with: - the lore from the mural - Loki introduction - Shamrock and holy knight’s introduction - Gaban introduction - robin saul moment The great moments just get scattered in the mix of okay episodes throughout the weeks so the week to week experience doesn’t help when watching some of these episodes so that probably plays a factor in you saying you been the least in one piece ever rn. (hearing from ur Mushoku tensei intro) Binging this part would be so much better for you like you said. Nonetheless, elbaf is a peak arc so it will get better ofc.

Nah, Oda took all of Sanji's Whole Cake character development and threw it in the trash. The neglected Straw Hats are just neglected, but Sanji has spent a lot of post time skip regressing. He's supposed to be the Left Arm of the future Pirate King, and so far in the New World his arc summary is: bled out of his nose for most of an arc, did nothing at all for an arc, lost to a warlord then went off screen for a few years, had an amazing arc, had an arc where he regressed almost entirely (until the end), blocked a laser from Kizaru once while regressing further, and so far in Elbaph has been less impactful than characters like Chopper and Franky (granted we know that something is coming). I'm not even a Sanji hater - I'm unbothered by the simp trope because I've been watching anime for 35 years and am used to the character type - but I entirely understand the hate from some and disappointment from others.

I'm theorizing the season will end right around here. Probably with the narrator saying we need to go back in time to understand, then giving a tiny tease of you-know-who like they did with Gaban after Egghead.

Threw his whole cake development in the trash? Definitely don’t think so. Sanji’s development in whole cake mainly focused on facing his family and reinforcing his identity of not being a robot like his brothers and protecting his real family the straw hats in his own way. That great writing is literally carried over into wano with his identity crisis in the queen battle. I definitely get there are some moments where sanji’s gag is too much but other times it is literally just the regular heart eyes around a girl. So I feel like you call it regression and I just think it’s his annoying gag that’s always been apart of his character. I get that simply annoys ppl more than others. I just think the hate for the gag at times is overdone. Sanji has locked in later in wano and egghead so not giving him some grace for being at a banquet rn and hating him so much and liking Usopp more than him is tuff is all😭.

OFC they are boring and should die rather than Loki, who literally killed their King and destroyed the land, it just makes sense! Istg in Nick's mind there's just no space for empathy or understanding the past, it's just action and a bit of lore lol
