Nick after you watch the 12 episodes there's a movie calle "Violet Evergarden: The Movie" (original I know). That movie is Season 2 of the anime and is also the ending of the series. The other two movies you see for it are separate stories, basically OVAs, but they're HELLA worth watching too. Please please please do not miss out on those too.

honestly though, I love that it made you cry. I know what it's like to rarely cry, even though I do it more now, up until like... what, maybe 5 years ago? I rarely shed a tear over anything, even real tragedies—nothing. It took me a long time to learn how to let those tears out. So it makes me so happy to see people cry to things like this now, not only does the experience feel shared and validated, but when it's someone who rarely lets those tears out? I just feel so glad for them too, because yeah, I'm sure you really needed that. Especially with all the other stress going on in your life. 🤗💖 Thanks for the amazing reaction, Nick. I’ve watched the anime—and episode 7 specifically—so many times now, and yet... every single time... over and over... man, episode 7 gets me every time. It just goes to show how good a story is when it can still move you to tears even after multiple viewings.

Even if it was likely meant as a joke, you shouldn't apologize for being moved to tears by something. I actually think it’s important that you didn't pause or say anything in that moment because you were so deeply affected; that makes the reaction genuine. That’s what I (at least) want to see in reaction videos: the person reacting being just as impressed, shocked, influenced, angry, or—in this case—moved to tears as I am when I watch it. That’s the reason people watch reaction videos—because in moments like those, however rare they may be, you feel a connection, as if you were right there in the same room.

When you get to episode 10, man just let it hit you, don't try to tank it, it's not as enjoyable. Just sit there knowing its going to hit like a god damn bulldozer. Personally, I'd like to see your purest most direct reaction without having to fight your feelings. That's the best way to do it man, trust me

Just a little correction, Violet Evergarden is an anime with 13 episodes not 12 and I’m not even taking in consideration the special episode, just wanted to say this

Yeah I think it can happen, for me I think if he cried with this episode then episode 10 and 11 will probably make him cry too, those are 3 saddest episodes of Violet Evergarden episode 7, 10 and 11 and then the movie is also very sad

I think the same could also be said about episode 11 even if I know many people talk less about that episode, that episode still broke me as much as episode 7, 9 and 10 did, I just won’t speak about episode 9 because you said "stand alone" and episode 9 is a direct continuation of episode 8 so it can’t be a stand alone

Dude you don't need to apologize for crying or getting teary eyed everyone and I mean everyone cries at least 2 times whenever they watch violet evergarden it dosnt matter what age you are or if your a boy or a girl everyone cries at least 2 times when they watch Violet evergarden my dog was with me when I was watching this show and my dog cried to this episode and so did I.
