Try reading the manga and recording it too. The manga doesn't have that slow pacing, so you can enjoy the story without having to wait through dragged-out scenes, and then still watch the anime to enjoy how they animate those moments. I honestly think you'd enjoy One Piece way more this way

You seem to forget they are on Elbaph, those monsters are ginormous, they make the giants look small dude. If chopper was to go into his monster form, he would still be much smaller than a giant and still tiny compared to those monsters lol It's easy to forget the scale of everything here, but you gotta remember everything is beyond massive compared to the straw hats.

Personally I like One Piece style more cause of the variation they do whereas demon slayer has the same flashy animation with impact frames,still good tho.Just wait for God Valley,it’ll change your mind

I get that it is slow to start the arc, but nearly every arc in One Piece is like that. Plus Elbaf has been THE hyped and anticipated arc of the entire show for the last 20 years since Little Garden. There was a ton of world building and introductions to do for the narrative to get set up. We needed to land on the island and get situated, do the Robin and Saul reunion, meet all the other important giants, explain how the actual island works, explore the Shanks connections, introduce Loki and all his plot stuff, introduce the Knights of God and their powers and plans, hint at backstory for Harald, introduce lore connections of Elbaf to the Void Century, etc. There was a lot more that needed done compared to other arcs, especially with the end of the story drawing near and the plot points converging. And honestly? This was still a much better paced setup batch of episodes than any other arc in One Piece, save maybe Egghead.

Listen at the end of the day we're all different. I legit have zero issue with you being dissapointed with the arc so far. The switch to weekly watching will always be jarring, so the pacing complaints are valid too. I do think you have played it loose with spoilers and heavily underestimated how much of your own experience has been bastardized as a result. You were spoiled on Loki, you were spoiled on Shamrock, you were spoiled on the Holy Knights, you've been spoiled on God Valley, you've been spoiled on Xebec's appearance. Who knows what else you've been spoiled on that you haven't mentioned yet. When a hype episode is coming up the comments tell you 3 weeks in advance. Of course the experience is disappointing. With all this info pre-loaded into your brain you're forced to just bounce from scene to scene getting annoyed that the hype shit you heard about isn't here yet. The manga experience was completely different. No one knew the Mural was coming. We didn't have town criers annoucing that we were going to get that lore drop. We didn't have a trailer telling us the Holy Knights were coming and that Shamrock wasn't Shanks; People lost their minds when Loki said Xebec was his Shanks. Funniest part is... I legit think if you compare Elbaphs first 20 to most arcs in the show, Elbaph wins most matchups outside of maybe Egghead/Sabaody/Marineford. Like What actually happened in the first 20 of Wano? or Whole Cake? This clears imo

Ngl reading the manga I felt the same way. Elbaf was such a snoozefest for so long. It's insane cause Oda stretched out this arc so much that it feels like the anime has basically almost caught up with the manga, even though there's so many chapters in between.

Not really because building up slow is hughe part of one piece that the pay of is higher... and also ther wher some really good episodes i have a souround sound system with a big subwoofer so alone the new sound team makes it for me when we forget about the first 3 episodes
