Eveyone I know who read the books say that order of the phoenix should have been 2 movies. I kinda agree because I remember back in my childhood that I never wanted to rewatch order of the phoenix I never knew why. Maybe I just felt the plot moved way too fast and way too slow in some areas.

FYI: The spell Bellatrix used to Sirius Black was Avada Kedavra which is a killing curse. One of the unforgivable curses. That's why Harry (and other characters) know that Sirius is dead when Bellatrix did it.

This is the one case where I have to say...yes. Voldemort does not hide his ideals, he embraces what he is. He's a villain, he's a murderer and he doesn't hide it. Umbridge is a new level of evil.

When Avada Kedavra hits on a person and he didnt use any protective spells against it. It’s 100% killing him. That’s the setting of this spell and why it’s so demonic. So when it hits Black, he’s confirmed 100% to be dead. But I kinda ahree here Nick that the presentation of that part is too fast in film. In book it’s saying that Black got a moment being complacent after winning Lucius and got hit by Bellatirx’s sudden atk, without using defensive spells. If it’s face-to-face 1v1 Black ofc shldnt get killed that easily. He’s a brilliant and talented auror too. But I think this is also why this character is so loved. He’s ain’t a perfect person. And this imperfection in Harry’s eye is ofc acceptable coz they are simillar in these parts.

to answer your question about what animal (patronus) you'd have nice there are official harry potter quizzes that will tell you, as well as what your wand would be and the popular pottermore quiz to decide your house. You should do all of them in a video! that'd be an intresting experience. I know my animal was a buffalo.

The book version fight was different and more powertul. In the book you cannot deflect a killing curse so dumbledoor as soon as Voldemort attack actually animates the giant sculptures in the room effortlessly and uses them as guards that block Voldemort's attacks, protect Harry & also restrain bellatrix. He also easily apprehends and disarms within secs all the death eaters of Voldemort's army in the other rooms right before confronting Voldemort. He easily overpowers Voldemort in the books and Voldemort struggles a lot. Also the way Sirius black dies in the books is different - not because Bellatrix uses killing curse (killing curse instantly kills) in the books he accidentally slips and falls through the veil of no return while fighting her in the books.

this is probably my least favorite in the series. Longest book compressed into the shortest movie and you can tell it is rushed. Still an enjoyable watch, the ending fight with voldie and dumbledore is good

The next one is probably my favorite.. I threw that book across the room. But yes, Sirius is dead-as in denial as we all wanna be about it. Harry has been the only one to be hit by the killing curse (Avada Kadavra), and live. Sirius only had the added nail in the coffin of falling through the literal Veil of Death and disappearing- which was probably what confused you the most.

Dolores Umbridge is the average woman on bluesky praying for the west to fall. Don't defend yourself or your family, just "learn" don't practice, "there is nothing that can hurt you". Crazy how ahead of her time J.K Rowling was when it comes to making characters. You can see Umbridge in the crazy people of today, confirming she was right about certain people. Some sterotypes are true, and in the world we live in today some books need to be judged by the cover.

I think Fudge position in this movie is similar to Chamberlain before WW2, where they are so much afraid of repeat of world war after first one, they were letting Hitler do his things and letted him being that powerfull.

Fun fact about how Sirius died in the book vs the movie (you can decide which is more devastating): The whispering gate is the Veil, aka a one way door to death. In the book: During the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, Bellatrix Lestrange hit Sirius with a non-fatal spell that knocked him off balance, sending him falling backward through the Veil. He did not die from the spell itself, but from crossing the threshold. Harry watched him fall through the Veil.

About the thestrals / death horses: Harry first sees them at the start of his fifth year after witnessing the death of Cedric Diggory at the end of the previous term, though Luna Lovegood and Neville Longbottom can also see them. Harry, Ron, Hermione, Luna, Ginny, and Neville ride Thestrals from the Forbidden Forest to the British Ministry of Magic to rescue Sirius Black.

1:49:42 nah she did worse. She tortured them so much they went insane and lost their minds. Which is why when Sirius tells Harry that they got a fate worse than death", he means that. In the books during christmas when Arthur Weasley got attacked, they went to the hospital for wizards, where they ran into Neville who visits his parents every year, but they don't recognize him. Its probably the saddest moment in the entire story imo. also in dumbledores office in the end is also way better in the book, Harry raging and destroying everything out of rage and grief, and their conversation is much longer and deeper. Just pure raw emotions as we haven't really seen before from Harry. The movie also sadly skip over Harrys entire period at the end grieving Sirius, wanting to be alone and not talk to anybody.
