Let the Master Steel Ball Run Piece begin. This is the last episode of JoJo’s Shonen Era that originally in the manga took place from 1987 to 2004 and now with the anime from 2012 to 2026 after nearly 200 EPs where the target audience was for teens, whereas now starting from the next episode (although clearly evident with this one) is the beginning of the Seinen Era where the target audience and tone is for adults. Just to clarify, Circa 1500 AD is when the Zeppelis were given their sworn duty along with discovering the spin —1875 is when Gyro was 9– 1879 he was 13 and then finally in the present 1890 he’s 24. As we can see here Gyro challenging the status quo of his homeland to free an innocent child taking on the blame of his Baron employer. A very adult centric theme and this isn’t even the true plot of the part, as Johnny said at the end, it’s as if the Steel Ball Run race is nothing but an afterthought which of course it is, you’d be a fool to think this most universally critically acclaimed arc of all time part and as hyped up as it is just due to good ol’ western story of a cross country continental race, even if it’s something that’s never been done before, much like JoJo’s that everything is profoundly unique having display things that have never been done before only to twist and spin bursting into something else. A true methods of Holy madness adventure awaits.

Btw the lipstick isn’t actually there that’s just part of the Flamboyant art style, just like there fingernails or any other type of makeup, which is unisex anyways. It’s like demon slayer’s powers that aren’t actually visible or even there.

I like the argument Daddy Zeppeli made. It only has one flaw. Yes, it is the job of the executioner to execute those sentenced to death. he's not a judge, not a jury. He doesn't look at evidence. When you take the job of executioner, that's what you sign on for And that's the flaw. Gyro never asked for the job. He was compelled to do it for family duty. His heart was never in it. ------------- I have to suspect the reason Marco was sentenced to death was to maneuver Gyro into the race.
