I have only read the first one so far, so I have no idea. But in hindsight, I really love this movie. So many iconic moments and from just a visual/cinematic view it is one of the better ones I think. It feels so dark even compared to deathly hollows. Can't wait to get to this book.

Agreed, half blood prince book is legendary and the movie ruined the story. Essentially the book served as the critical preparation for Harry’s ultimate final journey to find the horcruxes and defeat Voldemort so the book showed us like 6 or 7 memories to give Harry a greater understanding of Tom riddle as well as hint at the horcruxes and why he would make them. Instead the movie decides to show us 2 memories and the initial meeting with kid Tom riddle is weak because it doesn’t lead us to any greater understanding of him, we simply skip to the horcrux conversation. Not to mention they decide to give us a romantic teen movie which is unnecessary to what we actually wanted Sadly the half blood prince is a terribly adapted movie and I am looking forward to the show eventually getting here in 6-7 years

I think in the book the whole teen romance served as a contrast to Voldemorts backstory and its dark gritty atmosphere. To show how much different Harry and Tom Riddle journey was regarding love and friendship. Obviously the movie doesn't capture that feeling and shows a poor romance with poor writing

I would recommend watching Fantastic Beasts 1–3 after Harry Potter, as it is canon and serves as a prequel to the Harry Potter universe; it also focuses a great deal on Dumbledore and other important characters.

I do like the Harry and Hermonie being friends and almost like siblings in a way. There are def people of the fandom who would rather of had them together than Ron and Hermonie. But I find their sibling -like relationship very sweet. They both grew up in a muggle world, thrown into the magical one without knowing really anything, while Ron grew up in an all magic family. And they are the only child, so they did not grow up with siblings (i am not counting Dudlely as a sibling lol), while Ron has 5 siblings. I think they find comfort in each other, especially after years of being close.

Really would love that you watch Magic beasts and where to find them aswell after the hp movies i dont think theres like a ton of canon lore in them but i think they are pretty cool to watch and i think you would like them because there are a ton of different and wonderful magical animals in it

I was so upset when I read this book, I was in disbelief. When you are done with the series I highly recommend watching the deleted scenes for each movie, especially for the last two, they cut some really good stuff out of the movies due to time restrictions.

Harry Potter 6 is my favorite book in the series. Its even better than the movie adaptation because it focused more on Voldemort’s backstory through scenes that the film completely cut, while steering clear of the mediocre romance. The book also gives proper weight to Severus Snape finally landing his dream job as the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor - a position Dumbledore grants him knowing it would be his final year. Because Snape was the school's previous Potions master, he noted down his expertise in the field in the old textbook which he signed as the Half-Blood Prince. Also the movie cut out the scenes of Hermione’s abilities as the top student, she is taken to Hogsmeade by the Ministry of Magic for her Apparition test, which she passes.

it worked really well in the books, their connection was great but admitedly.. in the films it just didn't work. Its one of the reasons im excited for the show as they're going to be more true to the books. You could make two/3 films of every single book, that's how much content is in there that they had to cut out.

And honestly, I think everyone will agree that there is so much emotional overload and crying ahead. 1:32:20 this part is a cool throw back to the first movie. When Harry was in Snape's class drilling him on a couple random questions he threw at Harry one of them was "Potter, where would you look if I told you to find me a bezoar?” Then he explains it's a stone from a goat's stomach that can cure most poisons. Always thought it was a cool throwback and Snape's look at Harry like "oh so he was listening to me"

Still saying she works in the books is arguable, I don’t think so, while it’s true she’s by far more interesting in the books their romance was handled poorly even in the books, it felt like JK Rowling thought “okay, so I need to give our hero a love interest” and she picked up Ginny by accident, at least I didn’t feel any connection between them even in the books
