Try to give gauche a chance, he does become a somewhat like able character. Same with the others and their quirks tend to soften later in the series and become great characters with a lot of depth

All Black Clover recap episodes like 29 offer some different character perspective and some times funny moments between the actual recap. This I feel is fun to watch so the way you are doing it is the way I always recommend watching Black Cover recap, skip the recap portion but stay for the character moments.

True with Gauche, but of course the Sister Complex matter is a normal trope with many different anime, but this I think is Nick's first time encountering the trope so his reaction is genuine in encountering the trope for the first time. Hopefully he'll come around eventually as the show progresses and further explanation is offered.

I’m sorry but is it really that weird to be like gauche in the eye’s of westerners? To us it’s totally normal and we even have a whole genre of siblings youtuber just like a normal couple channel. I know it is the culture difference, but I recently started to feel insecure and anxiety and couldn’t be myself with my siblings because I felt Nicholas genuinely disgusted by it. Sorry for my bad English.

yea in western culture it really is very weird, Nicks outward reaction is kinda how alot of people would feel genuinely. but i can tell Nick is exaggerating a bit and knows its just a show, tho im sure he'd be weirded out if he met someone like that irl. Ive seen alot of people drop series, or anime all together just because the trope exists. me personally doesn't weird me out, but i've been watching anime since i was like 9 yrs old and im 24 now lol. I even like some of those animes where it revolves around that relationship (for the drama aspect, just to be clear lol). But yea majority of Americans find it taboo. But don't be insecure to the point you can't be yourself, if you're affectionate toward your siblings cuz you love them then thats fine, just never do anything inappropriate and all's good

He just really cares for his sister and doesn't want anything bad to happen to her he just wants to spoil her and protect her I can see why you think he is weard right now but you might actually come to like him as a character later on. I feel like the portrayal of Gauche gets a little lost across cultural barriers. His actual feelings for Marie are more akin to extreme adoration and almost worship, right? Like, I never got the vibe that he was sexually attracted to her and I'm up to date on the manga. Even the nose bleeds. I don't believe those are equivalent to, uh, "climaxing". Nose bleeds come across to me more as a strong expression of enjoyment/embarrassment/shock.

Yeah the sad part is how normal the brother sister stuff is in Anime. That this is very tame ans mostly just a very over protective over baring brother. There are actual animes where the plot is getting the siblings together which is waaay more uncomfortable
